NL, I just wanna give you a tip that should be pretty helpful. If you bomb the little base thing the idol is resting on, it won't trigger the boulder, but you can still go grab the idol.

NorthernLion could you try a run that involves a lot of sacrifices? i think the cup of kapala seems like it could be worth a try. oh yeah, i almost forgot: in case you didn't know, any corpse or enemy that is stunned can be sacrificed at an altar. i just decided to say that since you didn't do a easy sacrifice at the jungle level with a dead bandit that was literally right next to the altar... with no tiki traps nearby... anyway= keep up the good work! Hi NL. Thanks for the vids. Dude, you can throw upwards by holding up while throwing bombs. That helps a lot in dealing with spiders. Also, try to get the 2 sacrifices in order to receive Kapala and collect blood drops.
NL. Ignore the whingers. I enjoy these whether you do well or terrible. It's very easy to pick faults when you're just watching a video and not playing. You just keep doing what you've been doing. It's all fun.

yeah NL if you didnt know why michael beat hell. he sacraficed like 4 montys to get 8 health (ontop of his already 4) to get 12 hp :) you need to sacrafice everything you can whenever you see a altar

Why didn't you get the dog and the ghost idol? When you pick that idol up, the ghost still comes from one of the sides so you would have had plenty of time to get to the exit. It's worth $15,000. That's jetpack money NL.

go to the worm level its worth everytime just look for a huge acid pool in the middle of the stage and trow a bomb down it youl see ( how to get there is easy just trow a dog in the pink fleshy thing then jump in it yourself )
northernlion i think the ''black market'' area its all part of a huge store so.. you cant mine any single block because it counts as shopkeeper's teasure... maybe that's the reason the get mad to you

This changed in the 360 version. If the idol moves at all or the base is destroyed, it sets off the boulder.

Its 7:00 a.m. where I live, and my NorthernLion senses were tingling.
The jetpack is the key item in beating the game, it is a necessity for each run.

And that's because Foxman is better at Spelunky than NL. Northernlion isn't good at killing shopkeepers, therefore he doesn't do it.
