Andrew, your father is very intelligent. I could listen to him talk about anything farming related for hours, he is absolutely my favorite on your channel! The guy is one of a kind and absolute oozes generations of experience and love. I bet he has some incredible stories and he seems like a kid at heart. You're a lucky dude!

I never make comments on this, but I will this time… I want to thank you with all my heart for farming for our food… When you sent that drone up in the air, it brought tears to my eyes with the hard work that you farmers do for us and your family… I love your channel/veggie boys /and Stable life…
On my dad side of the family we have ranchers and farmers and I have it in my heart for ranchers and farmers…
Congratulations on your baby calf and thank you again for taking care and growing our food… ❤

That drone footage made me think of times not long ago when farmers cut the stalks by hand and tried them into "shocks" to serve as winter forage. Talk about work!

I think how they work together is absolutely beautiful! Grandpa is boss without coming across as an overlord. Andy counteracts the more curmudgeon personalities with his sanguine, gregarious nature. No one shirks their duties-all 4 men pull their weight. All of them can work each duty and manage to jump in and out of teams and chores with ease. They don’t act as if picking is a chore; they act as if it is a privilege! I love how they are sharing farm life with us. I never watch TV, but you will find me with my phone and iPad about every moment watching or listening to you tube. I click immediately on Veggie Boys videos!

Congratulations Rosie on the baby Bull. COULD WE WE CALL HIM THORN.
GET IT, Roses has THORNS!!! Please asking for my 9 year old Granddaughter Rebecca.
Back story, we live on our friends cow fields. By chance his black cows had 2 red cow's. She named the girl Cinnamon and the boy Nutmeg. That was 5 years ago. Mr. Billy fixed the little boy so that the twins could live forever in our front yard. They walk her to the bus stop everyday and 20 minutes before the bus get here in the afternoon they walk down to the bus stop to pick her up .

There aren’t enough people who appreciate what it takes to keep us fed. I do grow some food on my back porch, but it does not keep me from having to purchase more during the year. Without people like you, thus country would starve. Thank you for your commitment to family, and all of us.

The only thing you can guarantee with livestock is that they'll choose an inconvenient time to birth. Usually when it's storming, you're not there for that one minute, or in the most stupid part of the property they could choose lol Great footage all round.

I learned more about silage here in 20 minutes than I've learned in all my 60 years. We never did silage on our farm, it was all dry hay, so I didn't know much about it. Interestingly, I had watched a video a while back on Lancaster County Amish doing the same job with horses: different equipment, same dance. I really appreciate the drone footage. I really miss my beautiful PA mountains.

This is similar to the days when the threshers would come! I can’t believe the magnitude of the job. The music while the drone filmed was beautiful. My Ex was a farmer, and I really miss it. I would bring the men food out in the fields, such as sloppy joes wrapped in tin foil, or turkey on homemade bread. I live in farming country, and often wonder if I should hire in for milking. Grammy has quite the burden making food for everyone then home canning on top of it! Id give about anything for her job. I know all the gals work the store, kitchen, and clean up, and more, for which they should be commended. Loved the video. I almost felt like I was right there with you. Gavin and Petey are fun on the video. I was surprised that Joel wasn’t there as well, but I figure he must have his stable chores. Harvest must be so personally rewarding. I know when I pluck a big, healthy tomato or pepper off my plants, I get a huge dose of self-satisfaction!

Used to fill the harvester silos with a blower. 3 80' silos took a lot of wagons. Kinda miss those days and high moisture corn along with 5 silos of haylage. Thanks for the memories.

This is one of my favorite channels. I grew up on a dairy in Western West Virginia. This reminds me of home.

Silage videos have consistently been my favourite every year. It’s like a whole show on it’s own. Maybe the new calf should be called Silage or Silas🤣
