  • As a supervisor or manager it’s your task to give regular feedback about employee performance.
If you do this, especially if you criticize, you want to achieve something: you want to help your employee, for example, to improve his or her behaviour.
Feedback is the best tool to help your staff to develop and improve.
Always have in mind: If you criticize, it’s never about punishing or being angry.
If you critize you want to help. You want to help your employee, for example, to improve his or her behaviour.
However, in order to help, you need to take care that he or she is able to accept your feedback. Therefore you should be appreciative and respectful - and yet clear and distinct. That’s not easy to do.
In this video I show you an example how feedback can go terribly wrong. I'll show you how to give feedback correctly to your employees!

    Wrong feedback
He works at some speed for ever
He probably don't know how to change
    By you the boss asking
    How can I help
What do you need from me to improve
    He clearly dont know
What you as boss are doing is cleaning your hands throwing ball back to him so he can figure out how speed up
Instead working w him in collaboration
Partner him with another tech for few days to see where is root that's causing his delayed
Your classic feedback is lacking of empathy
    Really bad feedback
