- The Hard Card at Authentic Collectables, hosted by Speedcafe's Editorial Director Andrew van Leeuwen, is a podcast that interviews influential people from around the world of motorsport.
This is Episode 6 and for the first time we have an in studio guest, New Zealander Andre Heimgartner.
Andre, who now calls Perth home, popped into the office of Authentic Collectables to discuss his recent race win in NZ, and his path into Supercars amongst other things.

Always liked Andre. This interview only confirms that he is a great guy.
Interesting to hear Endre describe his experience in teams where there was a lack of transparency and access to the owner/ team manager. He said he’d still be at his last team if Kelly’s were there.
I assume this is in reference to Grove Racing. If so, this explains his move to BJR a lot.
I hope he gets a shot at championship at some stage.
Many drivers put up with things that make them uncomfortable to get the fastest car they can (contract uncertainty, work environment, lots of commitments). Admiration for how highly he values a good work environment, and feeling like he’s part of the team. Life is short. Sounds like he makes decisions that are aligned with his values, rather than what others think.
Great to hear Endre’s honest reflections and feelings on his career more generally. He certainly didn’t hold back.
Andre Heimgartner Is Awesome
