Those are some good parents. One year to see and experience the world is worth more than a year of schooling, and will live in these kids memories for a lifetime.

I’ve been following their journey on Facebook and instagram. It has been inspiring and humbling to watch. Wonderful parents and the family has has an amazing experience that they will never forget or regret. So many of us whine about the smallest inconvenience and do not have the courage to take the action that they did. Lots of lessons to be learned.

I can't imagine being the parents or the children who will go blind. I remember thinking out-loud would I rather have been born blind or later on go blind when you have the visuals in your head? It was hard. My heart goes out to this family and wish them all the best. They have been exposed to things a lot of kids never will.

Wonderful story in a sad situation.
Many many people would do this over all manner of diagnoses, but they can’t afford it. I’ve had my own bucket list… but you run out of time, money, or, functional health. Next best option, move to the most beautiful place on earth that you can…until the lights go out. So I did.

That they had the idea to do this is wonderful, but its important to remember that you do not have to have money to create beautiful memories with the children in your life, sunsets, full moons, trees, lakes, flowers....put down the phone and go outside.

I’ll bet the Lemay-Pelletier clan are from the Quebec side of Canada! Especially since I could hear the French accents when most of them were speaking! Other than that this was still an amazing story! I hope the kids with this eye disease will hang on to these memories while they still have their vision!

Only 3 of the 4 kids have it, so I wonder how that will play out in the future. Will the one child without this diagnosis be burdened with taking care of the others or will they feel left out as the other ones receive more attention or will they have a kind of survivors guilt. This will be another hurdle for the parents to deal with.

Jesus has the final say. Doctors have done their part. Ask Jesus what’s his decision and wait on him. Remember he will never put you into a situation without making a way.

Not sure the comment “ Talk about the coolest mom and dad” was very appropriate. They are desperate, loving parents trying to give their children a lifetime worth of visual memories in one year before three of their kids go completely blind. How about being a little respectful of the gravity of their situation?
