This is why those 'safe haven' boxes are so important! It gives a mother going through a situation a safe decision to make... and it gives loving people like these two the chance to start a family! Thank you to the biological mom... and thank you to the couple that adopted this beautiful baby! Such a beautiful story!
Also what people need to know is a safe haven box is a wonderful thing to help babies, but also Safe haven laws are laws in every state and all they have to do is walk into an emergency room or a fire station (even when a box is not present) and hand the baby over. They are given a paper to fill out with basic family health history which maybe important and are given a bracelet with matching numbers. The identity of the mother is kept confidential either way. And in a period of time if she decides not to come back the baby is then adopted. Like the 19 year old woman who gave birth then murdered her son in the er of a hospital in Arizona or New Mexico. All she had to do was hand the baby over and leave. She would’ve gotten the care she needed and the baby would be safe now. It’s so sad and situations like this do not have to happen.
This is the second time I watched this. It doesn’t always turn out like this. I just watched another clip of a family out walking, they saw something in a towel, in the middle of a small bridge and it was a newborn left there, umbilical cord still attached and on its way to be a very hot day!

To the biological mother: I don’t know what hardships led you to this decision but I want to commend you for doing the right thing. I hope your situation gets better. To the adoptive parents : Thank you! What a miracle..! She was meant for you..!!
To say she was meant for them invalidates the birth mom’s tragedy. It’s like saying she was chosen to go through pregnancy and relinquishing her newborn for another woman and denies her pain. It wasn’t “meant” to be. It was a tragedy for one woman and a “miracle” for another. I learned this from our 5-year-old son who was screaming and crying during the run up to his birthday party. In exasperation he questioned “who” the meaner was who so cruelly used his birth mom for such a painful purpose. We had told him the adoption agency endorsed version of the adoption story that focuses on the baby and adoptive parents, calling it magical and meant to be. He came to us as a 4-month-old who was born 2 months premature and had been out of nicu 3 weeks when he came to us, so his grief wasn’t because he knew her and missed her. Our daughter and most kids in our statewide group had similar feelings. So we stopped the magical version and joined him in grief for a teenager in a horrible situation while also celebrating our family. It is possible for it to be both horrible and wonderful at the same time.
So do I because sometimes and for whatever reason you give your baby up and I see all these awful parents who don't even acknowledge their children while they are with them. Whoever you are bless 😊 you for keeping baby safe.
@fannieschannel5451 your experience is not everyone's experience. You have no idea of the circumstances that led this particular birth mother to make the decision she did. And like you said, which completely negates your previous statement, something can be both wonderful and horrible at the same time, depending on who you are speaking to. Saying it was meant to be doesn't invalidate anyone, in my opinion.
To the birth mother…. If you are reading this, you are so courageous, strong and a phenomenal woman. Never doubt yourself, and please never give up on yourself, you are worth it and no one can replace you.
And THIS is why we need baby drop off locations! This is a wonderful story. I adopted my son through foster care and this story reminded me of the day I went to pick him up. I was so excited. I had never met him, never seen a picture of him, all I knew was he was 9 years old, and was my son, and I was finally going to meet him. Fast forward to today, he's 20 years old, a beautiful human being inside and out and I love him more every day. I wish I could have met his biological mother to thank her for her beautiful son, but sadly she passed away before I could. THIS is community. We step in when others cannot, and other times people will step in for us.

I hope the biological mother is able to see this and see that her daughter is so well cared for and that she made the right choice.
The idea of anonymity, I think, is preferable though. What if the mother suddenly decides that she'd like her back? She now knows where to find her, and, even though the baby is now legally adopted, she could cause all sorts of trouble. Not being cynical, just logical, so here's hoping that the situation remains good for all involved.

@MrSpeed-do2zk. Yes, the ones that have them then neglect them and abuse them. 😢

@MrSpeed-do2zkThis mother did the right thing. Instead of hurting the baby like many mothers who don’t want their baby and/or are hiding their pregnancy. That’s why these boxes are there, so the baby is safe and will be adopted by a family instead of having to go through the system for years.
No lie here!! ❤❤❤
How beautiful! I pray the biological mom is watching. Thank you so much for loving your baby enough to give her a chance for happiness.🥹💞🙏

@fannieschannel5451 Just how do you know she even wanted the baby?!

Cheers to the birth mom! She's the hero in this story because she chose LIFE! You're a brave woman, thank you for making this couple's dreams come true!
Bless the birth mother of this beautiful child who did the right thing. What a true sign of love. If only others who give birth to unwanted babies would do what this mother did and not do horrible things instead. Each town in America should have a Safe Haven Box and make its location well known to the communities.
Each town in America does! It’s the safe haven law in all 50 states. A baby can be dropped off no questions asked at any fire station or hospital.
@@Gemmarose9012 Yes the states have the safe haven law but not all have the drop boxes like in the story posted. Also, the laws are not the same in each state both of these issues need to be solved. For example, in approximately 11 states and Puerto Rico, only infants who are 72 hours old or younger may be relinquished to a designated safe haven. Approximately 19 states accept infants up to 1 month old. Other states specify varying age limits in their statutes. Some states such as Alabama and Arizona require the infants to be three days or younger while others such as Indiana and Arkansas allow babies up to 30 days old.
@@susanrosales7669 Well then there is putting the child up for ADOPTION or relinquishing the child to foster care instead of throwing it in the garbage or “forgetting the child” in a hot car. Stop “yeah butting” and blaming our country for people recklessly abandoning and leaving their children to die.
Yes! Making sure your baby gets the best chance at life is a sign of true love, even if she couldn't give the baby the best life, she made sure the baby girl had an opportunity
There is No such ting as unwanted babies. Babies are gifts to us mothers. Ent you here to enjoy the world. Stop saying babies are unwanted. If you can help a child is great you share.
I'm in complete tears! These boxes are a really vital resource. I hate to think what leads a mother to give up her child, but this is a lovely conclusion for one little angel.
How relieved bio mom must feel knowing her little girl is being loved and taken care of .... they were born to be parents ❤
She is irresponsible, couldn’t even put up a fight at life for her self and her baby.
@@ndjibukabengele973Yall will find any way to criticize a mom. If the baby was filthy and hungry and the mom was “fighting for both of them”, she’d be irresponsible and a bad mom. She safely gave her up instead of letting her starve and not having a roof under her head. The Dad could very well be abusive and that baby could have very well died in the hands of a monster
but yeah! the moms *totally* irresponsible for safely giving her up where she can get help and love.
Who ever came up with the safe haven idea is being blessed each time a baby is given a life
My heart goes our to the biological mom. I cannot imagine the agony. At the same time, I am so very proud of her. I heard a song once that said "From God's arms, to my arms, to yours."
That's a precious quote ❤ Love that. She had to carry her baby for months and give her up, can only imagine how painful that must be. I hope she's somehow able to see this video.
The first hero was the biological mom. As a mother, doing something as sacrificial and selfless as forfeiting your child when you yourself are in crisis is commendable and extraordinary beyond belief. I hope she is granted the peace she deserves.
The first heroes and ONLY heroes are these two human beings that will now give this child what her biological parents did not. The biological mother did the right thing but these two people went far and beyond.
Exactly 💯
@@flower5396 adoptive parents are not always the heroes. My adoptive parents are actually the villains in my life.
Yes so glad she didn’t commit murder and abandoned baby in trash bbygirl is so cute 😭 parents seem genuine
@@flower5396 Let it rest. The mom did a very difficult thing and she is the true heroe for putting her baby in a safe place and letting someone else adopt the child. We do not know her circumstances and the mom did what people should do when uncertain.
Yes the bio mom came through for her daughter. It’s a true blessing this couple was able to adopt her . Congratulations
I genuinely don't know I am crying so much tears of joy. Wow this is so beautiful, may God bless the baby and the family tremendously
Their story resonates with me and I wish them nothing but happiness. My husband and I have been trying for 10 years with no success. We're in the middle of an adoption, but we've been waiting for over 3 years. We're at the point that we're "discouraged", but they have given us hope. We need to hang in there and have faith that one day, we'll be blessed as well.
Never give up.
Please stick with it.. we are all rooting for you ❤🙏🏿
You’re in my prayers.
We adopted and I totally understand that feeling. Every day you kind of wait for a phone call, or you're staring at the calendar, wondering how many more days will go by. Your miracle is coming! We received ours and I know you will too ❤️❤️❤️
I wish and pray for ypir adoption success - do not give up your motivation amd willingness to give a little baby a life
Blessings! The birth mother did the right thing for her child!!!!! Safe Haven Boxes are an absolute must!
We need more stories like this in a world full of doom. These boxes should be made available globally ❤
A good story ? That a mum had to leave her new born baby in a BOX ? You call that a good story ? You're insane.
They really should! ❤
Incredible story! Literally tears of joy over here. Bless everyone involved!!!
Glad the mom did the right thing , brings tears to my eyes
THIS is a win-win situation. I am happy for the adoptive family and also for the birthmother who made a final decision and kept her child safe.
To the biological mother who may be watching this. Thank you for not ending this baby's life. Thank you for entrusting her safety to people in the right place. Thank you for taking care of your own emotional wellbeing by doing what was the best thing to do in your situation in the right manner. God bless you.
♥️
Yes. ❤💜💙
If only this were the outcome for *most* children given up. It's not, though.
❤
Nobody kills babies. Infanticide is murder, so thanking the mother and father for not ending her life is a disgusting political lie.
Beautiful how life works. They’ve been wanting a baby and one was literally delivered to his job for him to find ❤ such a beautiful story!
After constantly reading horrific stories in the local news here in Cleveland area about parents doing unspeakable things to their babies and children, my heart is finally filled with joy and love towards not only this beautiful family but also this baby’s mother and the most motherly thing a mother can do- ensure the safety and well being of their baby. ❤️
Is Cleveland a place in the US? What are parents doing to their babies?
I’m really glad this couple was already registered to adopt. That really helped move this miracle along. Congratulations to their little family👨👩👧
I imagine one of the hardest parts of giving up a baby it’s not knowing about their future. This is such a blessing for the mom who made the right choice to see that her baby will have a safe life.
I'm glad it's getting attention, the mom can be reassured of her decision.
And have to live the rest of your life wondering what became of the baby
Hope the mum is ok, and hope she sees that her baby is safe & loved ❤️
Amazing how struggles are turned into something beautiful. Infertility and unplanned pregnancy turned into a blessing. Thank you Today for airing this story.
The bio mom is such a star!⭐️⭐️⭐️ She did what was right, not what was easy. What a beautiful gift she gave this couple.❤️💕💕
if i throw my baby in the dumpster im a star wow
@@M.S.Y.CWhat is your problem, leaving all these idiotic comments? No one threw a baby in a dumpster or out the window as your other comment said.
