For the issue pointed at 7:20 in the video, You can view which app notifications have arrived, by enabling "Show notification icons" from "notification and status bar" in the settings
As for notifications that you mentioned that it only shows 3 dots, you can change it to show icons in Settings > Notifications and Status Bar > Show notification icons
The proximity sensor has been an issue in every Redmi phone I've used till date. Note 3, note 4, 3s prime, Redmi 4, and also the note 5 pro. Xiaomi really needs to address this. Great that you pointed it out!
I am using Redmi 4 and after Miui 9.6.4 it is very accurate now.Software Issue have been always a problem with Miui.I think the developers are not getting enough money.😂😂
Hi Parth Rather then using two tap power bottom to launch camera, you should turn on double tap power button to launch it. It will eliminate accidental presses and at the same time you will have a quick shortcut to camera app.
no the display quality is better than other smartphone at this range. i think you have not noticed it properly,the display on XRN4 and XRN5 pro is not same. and there is no issue with notification icon you need to turn on the notification icon in settings then it will show you the icon on status bar. and the internal black bazel looks good in blue,gold,rose gold model it is eye catchy. and face unlock works well every single time. when it comes to double tap to wake, i think you dont know about double tap, you need to tap at the exact same position for two times to wake up
To solve that notifications problem. Just go to Settings>Notifications and Status Bar.. then turn the 'show notification icons' toggle to on. 😁👍 Nice video though. I bought this device few days back.
One can enable the option of showing the app icons in the notification bar! And also, I'd say that the face unlock works absolutely fine when exposed to a bit of light in order to detect our face because it doesn't come with INFRARED feature. When your face is put in low light, it may fail but in a good amount of light for the device to recognize your face makes it work perfectly! :)

I'll slightly disagree on last point... I agree putting brand name on front side is not that good in honor phone but in my personal opinion nokia phones do look smart with the brand name on top right side.
I have been using it for 2 months now....The speed is unreal with only 4 gig version....Everything is great but dont expect great camera its better than every 20k phone camera but is less better than 1+5t or higher.
I couldn't get the black one. Had to settle for the Gold one, not completely disappointed. In initial stages it bothered me but after some time I got used to it. And also the fact that the black one is smudge prone. The Gold looks more premium when I actually could compare it with another black one. The black colour became too identical with every other smartphone.

Hey you can enable the feature that you mentioned regarding not showing any app specific notification on the notification bar. Just go to show notification and enable show notification bar .. You will feel like stock android.

U have to manually set that on
