Firearms instructor here. A neat detail about this movie is Christoph Waltz is the only character with proper trigger discipline and muzzle awareness. He never swings his gun around wildly and keeps his finger off the trigger until he is ready to shoot. The time period this movie takes place in is well before the 4 Rules of gun safety (1 treat every gun like it's loaded 2 keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot 3 never point the barrel at anything you don't intend to shoot 4 be aware of your backstop and surroundings). The 4 Rules would only begin in the 1930s, well after this film's setting. So it really showcases the level of discipline that the Christoph Waltz character has.
Waltz is a great actor. Loved him in "Alita Battle Angel", one of my most favorite movides.
An Englishman here who's only ever handled air guns, I've heard of the first three rules and always abide by them, but isn't being aware of your surroundings just being sensible? Also is a backstop something behind what you're shooting to stop your shots?
@@Dusk.EighthLegion The 3 Rules vs 4 Rules thing does exist. It was a thing of Jeff Cooper and the NRA going back and forth constantly.
Also backstop rule is more about making shoot/no shoot decisions than it is looking for something to stop your bullets.

Also an interesting detail: anyone who is legit knows how to properly identify themselves to the public. The Marshal did. Christoph Waltz did. But the phony Sheriff did not- he just shows up and starts throwing his weight around before being capped by Christoph Waltz.
The man talking to Django at the bar is italian actor Franco Nero, who played the character in the first movie introduction 1966.
I swear Ket (the girl) gets prettier everyday. I love the way she has fixed her hair. Kot (the man in the duo) is very lucky to have such a beautiful wife.😊

A sheriff is usually a lawman for the courts, or the county. Towns would have a sheriff. A county, state, or the Federal governments have Marshalls, that have different, more expounding powers than just your local cop.

Hello Kot & Ket, nice to see you guys!😊 Ket looks nice with her hair in a ponytail. I thought that mob was KKK too, but this is actually before they existed. Mobs in the old west would often wear hoods when they took the law into their own hands, like a hanging. That was a very satisfying ending. The father of Christopher Waltz is German and he has the german citizenship, only recently he earned the austrian citizenship. By the way historically and ethnically Austria and Germany share the same heritage. I am aware that Austrians don't like to hear that, especially after WW II. But Mozart and the guy with the funny mustache considered themselves as German! Get over it!

@@SweetSchnubbl I agree, that's definitely not a Düsseldorf accent. To me, he sounds more like high german. His austrian accent is almost non existent, only a native speaker, with a very good ear, would hear a difference. A native english speaking person would never ever noticed what you meant. So for that kind of movie it works out, pretty well 😉!
