Does this film still work over 25 years later?
Science Fiction Action Comedy about the government agents defending Earth from aliens and extraterrestrials. Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, written by Ed Solomon and based on the Marvel Comic book series by Lowell Cunningham. Starring Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, Rip Torn and Linda Fiorentino.
Booom! We had a really good time watching this. All the gags still work and the two leads have an amazing bond together. Great fun from the writing and direction.

"He's the toad", it's funny you said that, for years I did think that was Ray Park, the actor who played Toad (and darth maul) but sadly, he just looks similar to him lol.

Excellent film, while the second one may not be as good as the first, it’s definitely worth a watch.

what will smith was wearing in the beginning is called a windbreaker.. its sorta like a sweatsuit.. it comes with matching pants and a jacket.. he has the jacket tied around his waist... thats why it looks funny.

To comment on your intro, regarding the actual men in black - my personal belief is that it is a government official, but someone just to gather information. Because a lot of times these UFOs are actually military related sightings. So these officials could be simply taking a statement and seeing if that’s what this was. I think a lot of these sightings were actually during the Cold War as well, so it could have also played into checking to make sure it wasn’t any type of Russian military equipment. In the states that is.

Great movie
It's not so much that "Edgar the Alien" wanted to taste something sweet for the first time, it is more that as an insect creature it prefers pure sugars as food.
I really wish you and your son would react to the director's cut of "The Exorcist," I think your son could handle that movie because I've seen him LAUGH at gory scenes while watching Jaws.

Men in Black II is very much like Ghostbusters II for me. Doesn't work as well, plus the villain isn't as good. Have you guys watched Evolution, which also has a Ghostbusters vibe?
