This reminds me of when I used to work at the mall and these lil high school kids would always come into the store with a posse of 4 to 5 boys and try to steal Pokémon cards. Every time they tried to come back in and I would kick their asses out, they argued back EXACTLY like Adin did in this video. Needless to say, Adin is about as intimidating as a 5’5 high school brat trying to steal some Pokémon cards.

The reason a lot of creators on kick are banned from twitch is because twitch will ban a lot of that get a deal with kick plus the biggest streamer on kick isn’t even banned on twitch. Twitch no longer has the biggest streamers in the world anymore they all left either to kick, rumble or TH-cam.

A friend dated and later married a Jordan Peterson fan. The guy was basically trying to BE Jordan Peterson, he had his own dumb little podcast and everything. She got cut off from so many people because no one wanted anything to do with him but she insisted that he was great and decided that defending his stupid worldview was more important than a dozen long-time friendships. My best friend basically told her outright that she didn't want to be around the guy, and the response was "you need to hear him out", so basically the classic Peterson "debate me in the marketplace of ideas" or whatever. My bestie was like "I've heard his views, and I'm not arguing with a man on whether or not I as a woman deserve basic human rights and dignity". Adin saying he wants to ask the CEO a couple questions has the exact same energy as the goobers I had to deal with when I worked at the covid response branch of the Government of Alberta. People would call in and request to speak with the Minister of Health or the Premier (similar to a state governor) IMMEDIATELY. Like, I'm sorry bud, they're kinda busy. You get to talk to me. One guy demanded that he get to debate the Minister on the mass vaccination center and if he won we would have to close it (he was pro vaccine he just didn't like the administration process lol). My (Irish immigrant, female) coworker had a call with someone who asked her if she was the (Canadian, male) Premier. She was like "I... whu- NO?! HUH?" The person really thought they were gonna call the government and the Premier was gonna just answer the phone, and when they got a woman with an Irish accent they didn't think twice about it.
To be clear, not everyone who called into the covid response center were goobers, and I highly encourage people to write/email/call into their local government offices when they want to make their voices heard. Most people who called in were confused by the rapidly changing rules and messaging (valid) or just wanted to express a concern or frustration (also valid). And when we got particularly huge waves of communications protesting the addition or removal of a public health measure, it usually resulted in some kind of change to the decision, so it really can work if enough other people are doing the same. But calling or marching in somewhere and demanding to see a CEO or other high-ranking person is really goonish behavior and you definitely get made fun of afterwards lol.

I love Ethan, the pod and the crew. Watching over the last few years had brought many laughs when times were hard.
Lately it’s been tough to watch. I know Ethan has empathy for Gaza but, what does he hope to accomplish by saying “I support Palestine but….” And then proceeds to talk about beheading babies over and over again for 1.5 hours ? It’s basically saying yes it’s sad Palestinian lives are lost but the loss of Israeli lives is even more tragic.
The reason why I’m even posting here: when they were watching the Adin Ross video and Ethan said (time stamp 13:45) “the one time I want to see police abuse people he’s being calm.” Even if it’s a joke… it’s okay for him to laugh at police brutality? Is one to assume that Ethan supports the police and the abuse they inflict on innocent civilians? Ethan has stated that saying “free Palestine” right after Oct 7th is basically supporting terrorism. So by his own logic he supports the police and their brutality?
I know he doesn’t support police brutality but I hope that puts it into perspective that when people started saying “free Palestine” right after October 7th, it wasn’t to support terrorism or the violent acts carried out by Hamas but, to acknowledge the struggles of the Palestinian people for years.
His disclaimer about his bias towards Israel is valid … our opinions are based on our biases and experiences but it’s so disheartening to hear him say that if someone is showing favor towards Palestine they are immediately terrorists or support children dying.
I genuinely mean no harm, ill will or hate to Ethan, I will continue to watch the pod, but it’s so frustrating that he can be so stubborn and obtuse. I’m not saying I will unsubscribe,or become a fallen fan but I will definitely be looking for those time stamps to skip any Israeli/ Palestinian conversations. If a creator‘s content feels off to you for a long time, unsubscribing is a healthy thing to do. There’s no point in supporting someone if, with each new video, you think „what are they gonna do NOW?“ It’s ok. Over the past one or two years I‘ve left behind several channels I‘d been subscribed to for years, and whose content by now just made me frustrated/miserable. Those were good decisions, so much less clutter in my feed.
It’s also ok, if those unsubbed channels keep getting repeatedly shoved in your face, to just block them. It just works. 🤷♀️
