I feel bad for the teens just trying to browse the pride books. When I first came out when I was fifteen I would search for LGBTQ+ books in our school library just to remind myself that there was other people like me out in the world.

I worked at a barnes and noble and had a customer that acted the exact same way, telling us we are ruining childhood by making a pride table for young readers and telling all other customers that it is wrong and dangerous... She was promptly banned from the store lmao

When i see a pride flag, the first thing I think of isn't sex or kissing. I just think of diversity and love. It makes me happy to know that I am welcomed somewhere, or that there are people like me nearby. I think its kind of odd if someones mind goes straight to sex? Its a symbol of freedom, pride, and acceptance. Not sex.
