@@mamameg9916 security was at the front door and they escorted him to get the transcripts, and when he left unaccompanied (I’m guessing because they knew him), he made a run for it to the cafeteria. The school also had a lack of security officers to the point where they had to have a mall cop step in and help out at the school.

I agree, though I would like to add that a lot of things like that usually stem from a coping mechanism to trauma, and while finding healthier coping mechanisms is preferable, I think when it comes to paraphelias, especially ones that are about inflicting harm to others, it can also be important for the person in question to have a stable foundation for seperating fiction from reality, and faith-based reasoning is far more likely to exacerbate his inability to seperate the two.

This is the problem when people misunderstand Christianity. Jesus forgives your sins and changes you, but that doesn't mean that you don't answer for your crimes. If you committed a crime, the real Christian thing to do would be to turn yourself in to the authorities. God takes away the eternal punishments, but not the earthly punishments. God forgives us when we recognize how terrible we have been and that we need help to change. That rehabilitation process is not just an individual process and is not simply a single prayer. It requires time, working on yourself, and the whole of the Christian community that is also supposed to strive to follow Jesus' example. It's pretty much like rehab, but for life. God wants you to admit that you have a problem so He can heal you.

As a christian (from new Zealand), can I just say we love all people - whoever you identify, whom every you love - we love and accept you.
