    Honestly I don't blame this woman. I was molested at 5 years old, and the man who hurt me I think it went on for a whole year and when my mom found out she made sure that she got me the help I needed. But sadly the justice system failed me. He only got a few months in jail for being a drunk not for molesting me. He's dead now and has been for over 11 years now but still, it sucks that I didn't get the justice I deserved here. I love this show so much.

    Murder has no statute of limitations but the victims of sexual assault are supposed to live with the injustice of what happened to them.

      Being a survivor doesn't end the PTSD or the flashbacks or the nightmares not to mention, the stigmas that comments like your's evoke.
      Just because one survived sexual assault does not mean they ever asked for it or the trauma that comes with it. Which is why they're called "victims"!

      The early seasons will always be the greatest. Sorry, but the new seasons after Stabler left are just garbage. Even the latter seasons when Stabler was around were getting shaky. Too much PC garbage. The early seasons will always be the real SVU to me.

    I get her anger, the problem is they have next to nothing to go on and it wasn’t until the technology was good enough that they could match DNA (even then they have an extremely generic description) up

      You have too much faith in it. The show also highlights how nasty trials can get over technicalities. Few cases are slam-dunk.

      Same!!! The episodes where Mariska directed herself (where she was kidnapped and tortured) were super cringe and annoying. The older seasons will always be the real SVU

      I miss Stabler, Cragan and Munch. They tried bringing Stabler back later on as a guest, but it was an awkward reunion that somehow didn't feel right.

      Tbh, I like Stabler when he's calm and rational. I dont care for his anger issues, although I can understand them. Perhaps, I wish that they could have found a way to resolve them. I do like the early seasons, especially with Munch, as well as the new seasons.

      @@brittanyflowerday the thing is Stabler does learn to deal with and manage his anger and gradually improves, especially around season 7 and 8 where he realizes its costing his family and job. of course him abruptly leaving the series part made it difficult to show his further growth. He's getting there now especially with Organized Crime

      @@zephyrshadow7816 Not really. The detectives sat on their asses for years and did nothing until they were forced to. And one more thing: an institution does not start and end with a set of people. People come and go and yes, the new people do often have to straight up the mistakes of the old ones. Otherwise no patient wrongly treated by an incompetent doctor would have a chance to get healthy because it was the fault of someone else.
