Marty, thank you so much for reviewing our pads 😁 But I want to note that it will be much more convenient if you fix the pads after removing the standard foam pads 18 and stick Velcro directly onto the plastic body of the unicycle. 🙏
Hi. It looks like a lot of people aren't watching the whole video where I discover my mistake and remove the foam pads and then install yours. Thanks again - I really like these pads 🙂👍👊
I'm really enjoying your videos since I just found your channel recently. Thank you for taking the time to share your journey and knowledge of these sweet machines. I'm on the edge of my seat thinking of getting one. These look like a perfect fit to my "loophole culture" that I'm very much trying to embody lol.
Hi Marty, thanks for the tip and demonstration. I think they would work great on the S18 because like you said it's not as much about performance with them as much as comfort, and I can't see how they would greatly contribute to overpowering the S18. I might turn my S18 into a comfortable King's Coach too.
ah these look nice and fits the form factors. I bought the russian pads but it was a different kind OF style provided by a guy in NY. I had to rip apart the stock foam so my legs didnt bulge out . that too benefits from some velcro at the front so it stays flushed.
Would you please give me a recommendation, I recently broke my shoulder after falling off of the EUC. I know you had broken your shoulder in the past. Can you recommend some shoulder protection?
@@roccatagon If you've seen any of my MP videos you'll understand why I don't think it's best for trails with lots of hills. From my ~800-miles of experience on the MP it is a hot running wheel. I suspect that it would not catastrophically fail but it would probably overheat before reaching the top. To do this test I would have to use my personal copy of the MP and it's too expensive for me to risk damaging or stressing it. If someone wants to give me an MP to test here than I will :-)
Cool video I'll definitely order my next euc from euco. Where can I order the mono customize pads? I'm liking the spiked pedals from Chris after watching your video
So I bought these before I watched your video and I’m not thrilled that I got a pull the old robbery pads off of my new king song S 18 wheel but I’m going to but I have a question for you if I buy extra industrial-strength Velcro do you think I could put the Velcro on the old rubber pads and then be able to swap back-and-forth
I love you videos dude but you literally could have came down here to Mexico I'm in San Diego and got all these like super cheap I know a guy that does leather work over here you just gotta give him the idea you know. Hello Marty...from your video I could ear some strange sound coming from your S18... It looks like you are having some bearing issues in your wheel. I changed the bearings in my wheel and got the problem fixed.
I think the microphone amplifies the motor/bearing sounds. I can't notice anything while I'm riding. I only have a couple hundred miles on the wheel so hopefully I don't have any bearing issues. I've never had bearing issues on the 23-wheels that I've owned. Thanks.
@@ElectricUnicycles I was wondering the same thing cause the clicking is definitely noticeable in the video even if you can’t hear it, keep a eye you wouldn’t want to eventually damage something before you check it out 🙏 Great video man!
@@thefoss721 Thanks. Regarding the sound, if there is a problem developing there really isn't anything that I can do about it in a preventative way. If it gets worse and affects the ride then I'll deal with it. No point in worrying about it until then :-)
I'm concern about the wheel sound. Was it like this when you bought it? Mine (550km old) is not making this sound... yet. Is it a bearing problem? Very nice pad by the way, might be adding them to my S18.
There is a microphone placed near the pedal to better pickup the ground sounds. This amplifies the wheel sounds. I bet yours makes the same noises but you just don't hear it (like I don't hear anything while I'm riding).
could You make comparission Monster 22" 100v vs MonsterPro ? You are probably the only one person who has both of them. Nobody made yet direct comparission of this wheels, nobody has so much riding experience on both of them. Many Monster entusiasts for sure would like to watch something like this.
@@ElectricUnicycles excellent :). Monster22" and Sherman are now the only one reliable cruisers, bit old style but with durable axle motor. Unfortunately all new models with hollow motor seems for now quite risky.
The wheel is noisy. Ticking sound from a pebble stuck in the tire. One of the two microphones is placed near the ground so that's why you hear it. When riding the wheel it's not noticeable.
I know people who use these and are pretty tough with their wheels. Leather stands up to a lot of abuse. But like I said in the video, if you're living on a budget these are not for you :-)
@@jordanestabrook4492 I disagree. We all have many options for pads (although not a lot for the S18) including making our own. It's an accessory not a must have. I think it's great that we have options. There are many products that I can't afford but I don't begrudge those of us who can make those purchases.
@@ElectricUnicycles Well if you consider the value to be fair then I will at least reconsider. For what it's worth I value your opinion. My point was only that being on a budget is not the only reason to pass on them, they seemed to be inflated and I know for a fact the price keeps going up. However my perspective comes as a high end craftsman myself so I can concede if the quality and craftmanship is there, as you say. I'm still not convinced about the durability either but nonetheless I appreciate the video and the banter, thank you.
@@jordanestabrook4492 I do appreciate what you are saying. I consider these luxury additions to the S18 and the S18 is certainly fine without them. That's why I'm trying to emphasize that a person should probably only buy them if they have no budgetary constraints. As a craftsman yourself you can certainly appreciate the labor ($$$) that goes into making something like this (they aren't mass produced). I'm pretty sure that if someone buys them from Daniel instead of direct from Russia the shipping is closer to $10 - every little bit helps :-) Thanks for your comments - keeps me honest :-)

Great looking pads there Marty.

That ticking sou d would drive me nuts😮😊❤
Awesome padded design Marty love the color combo, definitely Chevy colors. 👍
I need something like that. My makeshift ones do okay.. LOL.
Everything I tried to attach those failed. That uneven surface makes any power pads not stick at the corner points.
Love the RED accents ❤️

Amazing look
when could we see Monster Pro + ExN during "overheat Hill" test?
The Monster Pro - never. The EX-N, maybe.
@@ElectricUnicycles why not MP? With propper powerpads it could be possible. do You think MP will burn on this hill?

As I show in the video, nothing sticks to the KingSong pads. I really wouldn't worry about it because the new pads fit perfectly.

Yeah..the person who makes these has to better account for the fact that the s18 body is not flat
Seems like mono customize pads need some recustomize to fit properly?😂 Hum wait no just need to remove s18 excisting pads first👍🏻
You're right, the standard S18 pads must be removed before installing MonoCustomize pads.
