@ AW Earle I wonder how long this kind of format will stay popular in videos. Remember when all the videos would take out a piece of cardboard and write what still had to be done?
Yes most shops have separate mechanics working on other jobs, this whole team jump on one job at a time, that’s why their time periods are so short, not realistic, plus a paint booth normally has a small back up of jobs, as they push out a lot of work, as soon as their car is ready, it’s straight in the paint booth. They must priorities any film car first, or as the whole team are working on it, nothing else is ready to go in. If your a customer who’s car isn’t shown in the show, they must have a long wait, which I expect is many, any sensible workshop would priorities customer vehicles over company stock ones, not gas monkey. Thats how you get repeat business or recommend business, because of this process on film cars, while the whole team jump on the film car and the individual or individuals on your car leave it to film, it must be very bad for business. Richard obviously gets paid a small fortune by the film company to jeopardise his business like that.
My dad had a 69 Firebird with a 6 cylinder manual. It was a far cry from this beast but forr a 15 yo it was a great car to learn how to shift and drive.
This episode proves many points about Richard…… 1. He’s Blind (Firemist Blue is an awesome color). 2. He’s not familiar with the phrase “quality, not quantity”. 3. Why he needs to find a different profession (McDonalds needs someone on the fryers). 4. Why I don’t watch his program!
When talking about the header installation on this road you don’t freaking matter how big or small the engine is if it’s a Pontiac engine the external dimensions are all the same so saying that this big hitters figure Pontiac headers are a pain in the ass to install even on a 326 because of the way the angle out of our heads down instead of out straight but good job you guys I love the fact that you’re putting Pontiac into this ride because belong always the Pontiacs nothing else
You could save it i see what is unappealing to the eye about it add some black on it the windshield support hood scoop maybe do racing stripes if racing stripes don't paint hood scoop
Funny, for a 'restoration', it's got a new chassis, wings, engine, gearbox, exhaust, radiator, roof etc etc etc. I don't know why they don't just build new cars to be honest rather than starting with something from 1967 and keeping 8% of the original?
Can take a lot of time money and patience to do a full restore like that. Gas monkey is still a business and they want those cars out as fast as they got them in, you’ll see if they find a car that hasn’t been touched and still has a lot of the original pieces they will go for a restore. But for cars that need a lot of work it just isn’t worth the time it will take to get it there.
@Anthony Gill Oh I get the commercial side of things, it's just a way from American Hot Rod if you ever watched that. They were custom making cars from the ground up, not just buying bits and bolting them together. If they needed a chassis then they made one, wheels were made in house from billet aluminium. Still some drama etc of course, but just a very different setup.
ive had every color car except blue and i probably never will, i will say i think they made a big mistake going with black interior for a convertible, those seats are going to get real hot.... it also doent go with that blue, they should have went with a cream white or just white, it would have made that color pop
I used to watch the show. Richard Rollins is one hell of a businessman and car guy. I don't like how he disrespects his employees. That's the reason I quit watching the show. It unfortunately took a 9 minute clip to remind me why.
Love how Richard probably has never turned a wrench in his life? But seems to know how easy everything should go together. A factory color of Luzerne blue with a white stripe would have been killer on a car like this. But that was a few years later. But sold well. Maybe Richard would have been more comfortable with painting it a foriegn color of blue instead of an American car color.! I hope he lost money on this.!!
Stupid people love to argue about subjective topics like color, taste or sound because they get to grandstand on an opinion which obviously can't be objectively refuted...
Now that’s a car you wanna buy- every step of the restoration completely rushed and entire build crew under pressure with no time for quality workmanship. That’s why this guys builds are known for being halfass
Richard's crazy, that colors amazing
I agree
It's tv you Joe Biden loving gun banning clowns
Yeah that color sick
Nah that's a bad color for that car
I think he wanted green.
Richards crazy, that blue is perfect for that car!!!
“Evel Knievel wouldn’t jump that gap” haha boss
Thats my favorite color. its always a sunny blue sky summer day, when you look at that paint
That color is amazing. Richard is nuts lol
I would done a white top and white interior with the blue paint. If the car was red the black would’ve worked
I agree, that color combo is great.
I'd prefer black and blue all day over blue and white. To each their own.
The car went from pieces to finished in 9 minutes. You make it all look easy.
@ AW Earle Didn't like the color? The brand? Have a cool weekend!

Missed theses crewmen they are very excited to watch lol
I love the “time limits” they have in these shows for added tension it’s so fake
right lets wait 6 weeks and make money. You should be a business owner...
My fav TH-cam video right now no lie th-cam.com/video/cvs9q-RAg64/w-d-xo.html
It doesn’t do anything to promote quality control in their businesses.
@@liamgross7217 they missing dead line anyway mm

I love the blue 💙
Seven days get it done !now I’m gonna come get drunk.
My dad had a 69 Firebird with a 6 cylinder manual. It was a far cry from this beast but forr a 15 yo it was a great car to learn how to shift and drive.
It should have been a crime to put a 6 cyl in those lol
I have a 67’ Firebird so I’ll probably keep coming back to watch this lol
That Engine is a Beast!
I loe it when there have a color matching bumper instead of chrome. Makes it look like a mini GTO
That Blue is fantastic!!!
What a stunning blue!
They really need to invest in a real good quality engine hoist...that one they have is dangerous for the employees and the product
That's a beautiful '67 😍
WOW GUYS THAT IS 1 SICK ENGINE. NICE CAR👍
I bet those guy are glad the show is done all that work
I agree with Richard, to light of a blue for me. A nice Cobalt blue would look better
Opinions though 🤷

That blue with a white top looks awesome!
Looks pretty damn good with the black top as far as I’m concerned!!!!
@@nobodyspecial6436 okay!!!!!
I have a real riders 1/64th scale of this exact car but white top and interior with white racing stripes.
Why do the cars they build and "sell" always end up in background shots of the shop?
Great Build! You Guys Rock~!
Blue is a terrific color! How can anyone hate that car??
Blue on any car looks bad ass.
When you have the money and talent, that is the result!
Put Vasoline on the input shaft and some on the front seal
Richard Rawlings is cool and a great entrepreneur 👍
If money was blue, Richard would be broke, he hates blue that much!
I think it’s perfect! But there you go!

You don't watch the program yet here you are watching clips of the show?
My favorit color for a car and this ain't bad looking!
Richard is a Richard
That's why discovery parted ways with him .
I love that car and I love blue !
Yeah it's more more obvious that those guys worked for Discovery and not Richard, it seems like he's just done with them.
Alright my car's ready! 😎
I think with that blue body color they should have gone with a white top, black carpet, white seats and blue and white door panels.
I love the color! Richard open your mind you are selling it. It's not yours lol
Any color is better than the awful green Richard usually picks.

I've put a bunch of three fifys in em now we're LS ing the Pontiac crap up
Beautiful automobile!
That’s Bluetiful !!! ( has that been used before? 😆)

Only racing stripes on the hood not the trunk
Where's the sling shot and the Sling Shot Dude? Dude musta got fired cause, the Sling shot is missing one wheel outta four.
Blue looks better with a white top and interior
Could Tony Cano get any Scrawnier?

Surprised he didn't want it green!
I like fast loud and all they built
He can afford to repaint it all that money he got from the so-called “GIVEAWAY “ that nobody heard the winner!!!
One week? Corners must of gotten cut to finish this car in a week!
It's hard to respect someone when all they do is disrespect you! Yo dude I do think we put our pants on the same. What makes you so special?
I love that color
Ratings are dropping so they told Richard to be more dramatic
I hate the blue it would look.sick cherry black or metallic rootbeer
9:25 the bonnet alignment is off
I want a firebird so bad I can taste it
I'd hate to work for Richard

Too close to a "pontiac engine paint blue"...midnight blue would've been the ticket!
Funny how you guys love your chrome, over here in the UK we delete it . 😏
Like good teeth huh
Earl Shive blue
Why pick it if you don't like it lol

Actually if you were a true fan you would of seen ponytail richard wrench next to beardless aaron!! Come on now
Those winks are uncomfortable
Rawlings needs to get a clue. Viking Blue rocks.
Richard gets on my damn nerves!!! I would hate to work for him. The blue color is awesome!!!
Black or red for a firebird nothing else
Richard only sees green
Shoulda painted it orange.
Nice
In the late 80's early 90's I changed ALOT of these Pontiac junks to Camaros. Lit of Chevy boys drive Firebirds an don't even know it..... LoL
Why does Richard hate blue? 🔵
If Richard hates blue why does he have blue tool boxes instead of his trademark green? Hmmmmmm
Not same snapperhead
They were probably free, a gift from the network, still yeah not the same.
I hate the colour too it’s boring there is no depth and wow factor, for example seeing a new candy apple colour for the first time
should be a light blue flake with a white undercoat. like a shark. electric retractable convertible roof. no chrome.
Wtf? No seats and sofa's from Sue????
I’m sorry Richard blue is better then green
After Tom Smith beat Richard down one night in his own club, I bet he hates black and blue the most!
5:48 lol
Richard Cranium
Well at least its not green.
#266 here to observe the mayhem. And learn something new.
i like the fact that there is NOTHING on that car that they can't fix,,,, good job,, CREW!

Nothing wrong with blue, Richard.
