There's a window in the closet because it wasn't always a closet. Houses in this era didn't have closets. This closet is a later addition to the house. Houses of this era used wardrobes, armoires, trunks and chester drawers for clothing. Closets started being built into new homes in the early 1950's.
What are "chester drawers"?

It’s not funny.. These are dark spirits,. Giving up their name allows control.. So they will be vague and or fight tooth and nail to not be exposed.

You should totally get more cameras and leave as many as possible in various rooms while you're off investigating other parts. I've seen that in other paranormal videos.
That would be so interesting. I used to have orbs fly around me while i hoop dance in my livingroom. Before getting too excited or nervous i swept, dusted, and mopped made a few more videos of me hooping and some with the camera on while we ate and the room was still. There were orbs in both.
The reason this was special to me is i was trying to learn a new trick and was getting frustrated, one of the orbs was a bright baby blue color, we looked up colors meanings and if i remember correctly it was a calming spirit.
So I'd be very interested to see what they catch just with the room empty.
Yes, and, maybe two or three in each room to cover all angles - specially when there's many items in the rooms that can be moved or used by the spirits.
Hey, Josh,. just wanted to add that I haven't met many ppl who understand that spirits aren't something that should be tainted or even laughed at.
You're in their territory, they hear everything you say, maybe even things you think.
Their situation is tragic, not funny.
There's never a reason to taunt them, attack or be angry at them.

Crap my castle videos at the same time lol guess I'll have to change it lol. This was such a crazy place. 9 and half hour drive for me but was worth it. The toy room was just crazy. The spirit box and EVPs were just sport on. Can't wait to watch this today.

26:10 Hey Josh, that's a cool experiment... the ghosts can someone still see colours somehow without cones and rods of an eyeball. Somehow ghosts can still visually recognize the material world. I imagine spirits could only "see" in auras but perhaps they can actually "see" in a much higher range of the electro magnetic spectrum!
Not to mention spirits as we are and right now in body form, when in spirit form I believe we are immortal precognitive higher dimensional beings. Example of that spirit saying he was from Boston. Calling out Seth's name with out hearing it, etc.
FYI: My above statement is my opinion and personal belief. Additionally, it is sad that I have to write this.
Look up near death experiences "NDEs" here on youtube - those folks have been there and back - they describe having expanded perception - often they can see all around themselves (360 degrees) when out of their bodies.

The term for the “time warp” is called a “time slip”. Experience only one my self and ended up in a plantation field that used to be in my neighborhood. Had handprints and wheat on my shirt from where two individuals had hauled me to my feet after I fell in the field. Took several washings to get rid of the marks.
Wait is this something like teleportation? Like you body moves. But you consciousness doesnt work.
Is it like that? Or what is it?

@@hammadkaka1828 Not teleportation. Was in the same spot, different point in time. I guess you could say it is like if you feel asleep in like a daydream, the sensation at least, just displaced, and anything such as a blink can drag you back.
@@melodyadkins5625 To be quite frank it was one of my favorite dress shirts I wear casually and didn’t want the marks to become permanent. The smell took longer to get rid of. Even asked the current owners of the old plantation how if they had any idea the old layout of the property and where I found myself lined up with an immediate wheat field. Would’ve been cooler if they had heard some passed down story about a mysterious man falling in the field though, but to my knowledge time slips don’t alter the past, least I don’t think they do as their effects would’ve already occurred, like a self fulfilling paradox.

I have a suggestion for a Beyond the dark episode. There’s this house in New Jersey called the spy house. That is supposedly extremely haunted. The house was built in the 1600s and it’s official name is the Seabrook Wilson house. The coolest part is you would be the first TH-cam channel to bring widespread attention to the house because although it is extremely haunted it is not well known among people besides locals.

the thing i like most about what you do, Josh, is when you and Seth interact with the spirits.
But I don't feel that energy in you, Josh.
Seth, you're amazing, the spirits find comfort in you, and clearly their existence often has little comfort where you're finding them.
I've spent many years living in haunted houses, not my intention.
But I can sense these spirits, which tells me if they're good or evil or angry, etc.
Even now they pass thru.
But I've never been harmed by them.
I believe they knew our situations were beyond our control.
If you could find someone that's able to guide the spirits to where they need to be, a medium, someone who can show them they don't need to be afraid...that's something you can do, Seth, they trust you, they like, even love you.
Work together and send those people home.
There's not many who can do that, but you guys can.....you would bless these lost souls.
I'm going to subscribe to your videos, hoping you might consider doing this.
And pray for all of your safety, tho I know there's few who would harm you, and many who would protect, and for your blessings🛐

Good for you Josh. Always listen to your intuition. Hypnotism can open you up to attachments. Doing that in a haunted environment without correct energetic hygiene/protection isn't a great idea.

Josh, you have all become so intuitive since starting your spiritual journey with Beyond the Dark. You are using your senses and following your gut feelings. You both walked into that room and felt heavy and isolated. It's amazing how much wisdom and knowledge you've gained by surrounding yourself with everything paranormal. We are all powerful if we follow the natural instincts we feel.
This is a location that I've never heard of til now and it's certainly been sitting waiting to be uncovered for quite some time. It's amazing that you were able to be the first investigator in. They obviously trust your ability to do things the right way. I know you've earned my trust.
Please always remember to be careful and properly protect yourselves against the negative energy......things like that are something that you don't want affecting your reality in any way shape or form. BEWARE of wolves in sheep's clothing....whether your dealing with the living or the spirit realm. Evil lies and can do a very convincing job at tricking us into thinking their something their not.

I walk into "haunted" houses regularly and never feel "heavy and isolated".... "Paranormal investigators" need to stop pushing this farse. Not every "haunted" room makes people feel "heavy and isolated". That's typically a sign of acting...

Dude, your my favorite youtuber! Me and my daughter watch your vids every night. And now you are in Auburn and about a half hour from us too.. Id love to go exploring with you just one time. Theirs tons of abandoned and haunted areas around Upstate NY. Woodlawn Cemetery is wicked haunted. I actually got a picture of a female apparition a while back. And my Uncle passed away a few weeks ago and I would love to be able to contact him somehow. Any advice on what devices I could use?
You all should ask them more questions about themselves, instead of just asking them to say random words or your name. Ask if they need help and how can you help them. It might take you on another adventure. You never know 🤷🏾♀️
How would you go about helping a ghost? I don’t think it’s a good idea to sign up for a mission you probably can’t complete. Or if you could, what if you help a bad spirit? What if you couldn’t help a spirit and they get mad at you?

This is an amazing video I was entertained all the way through it was very informational and awesome! Start bringing offerings like cany and toys ect to haunted locations. And YES just jump in the well like Ghost Adventures does. Last but not least do away with green light if you want green be real and record in night vision as it should be anyway.
