Josh, i really wish you would wear a mask while exploring houses with black mold. Our friend just died because of black mold. He was 57 years old. He was feeling great and all at once he collapsed because his lungs collapsed. He was taken to the hospital but they couldn't save him. He never smoked a day in his life. I really enjoy the video. I love you kid so please stay safe.
RIGHT

He relieve dont care
Do you know newjeans??@@joolzable
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hey Josh, a few things:
• 5:41 - MOLD - You should be wearing a mask/ventilator. The mold spores can get into your lungs.
• 6:12 - PROCESSOR - Just as it's named, it processes food. It dices, grinds, kneads, shreds food.
• 9:26 - WINE - If it's still sealed and at a cool temperature, the wine could still be drinkable.
• 26:00 - CARPET - Someone might have died in that spot, that's why they removed part of the carpet.
• 27:10 - TRASHED - Doubt that was done by the owners. Most likely done by other urbexers.
• I'll never understand how the families can just leave everything behind.
• With all of the mold and structural damage, I seriously doubt that house can be saved.
😇
Great detailed comment, 👌
wine also needs to be laid down on its side to keep the cork from drying out and letting air into the bottle
The wine is probably gross. You don't know how old it is.
@@dee-gc5mx yea but risk of also getting cork to wet if it has been laying down to long, but should be ok to drink, either it's better or worse then new 😂
Tho the house itself didn't seem to have to much mold and structural damage, mostly the basement would need a lot of work, the rest looks to be ok so that house should be saveable aslong as you get the basement good first😅 and most of the furniture is still good(except basement) so would guess house is kind of good
As of 1/20/24, this house is torn down. The wife is 87 and lives in another mansion across town and the three sons are doing very well.
Source? Where can i get more info about it?
How do you know this?
@@briegriebel Google the clues in the video.
Do you ask Josh to source his info?
@@caseykelson1 From watching Urban Explorer video's, they try to keep their locations a secret to try to protect the properties they explore. A lot of times if you pay attention to the clues, you can google them and connect them up with a little research.
Hi Josh! Happy to see some exploring videos again.
My grandparents still own their farm in Illinois that was in the family since the 1800s. It's abandoned now but that had me thinking, have you ever touched base with any of the families and found out any of the stories from the abandoned places you explore? I think that would be cool.
When I visit my grandparents they let me go in the old farm and it feels so weird to see it in such disarray but remember all the memories from when I was a kid.
Looking at the damage, this was most likely abandoned due to water damage. The way the walls and floors are half removed upstairs tell me there was a major plumbing leak, likely from the tile shower with a hole cut out. It would also explain the wall and ceiling damage to the lower floors. Once a house floods like this, it’s a race against mold, and they must have lost the fight (or insurance deemed it a total loss). Fantastic house, thanks for sharing with us!
Even then, how weird is it that they’ve left all that wooden furniture there.. Surely they’re worth a pretty penny. Maybe there was some disagreement in regards to splitting the inheritance?
I don’t think the owner or owners of the place left it in that state. I truly think people “exploring” trashed it. And also the people trying to get copper. They probably destroyed the walls to reach any copper inside. Just my opinion ❤
They definitely didn't leave it in that state but they left what looks like their entire life behind in a hurry. That is so strange.
This video was done so well and with so much respect to the family and their home. My mom and I found you through your abandoned videos and were so happy they’re back! Keep up the great work, dude!
If my parents passed away, I would've saved the photo's, albums and precious memories. Sad this persons children didn't do that.
That's the first thing I did when my mom died. I took all family photos. What bothers me is that my kids most likely get a dump truck and throw away everything I cherish
if you’re running from war or something you would probably run and never turn back, you can’t blame the children
I was thinking the same thing
You don’t know their situation though, parents could have been horrid. It’s best to not judge others and the choices they’ve made when you don’t know them.
I think.. the children might not have a very nice childhood, look at the schedule and the punishments, the parents also really smart and might tend to pressure their children? idk but as a weak gen z i might be traumatize
15:21 That pink Japanese upholstery on the sofas. And drapes & cornices to match!! Massive furnishings. I feel like crying. Unbelievable.
I was thinking the same thing! So classy and beautiful!
I love how respectful you are towards peoples property. Great video Josh.
"betty bop"..bless you lol. You've never heard of Betty boop and her banned dentist adventures. My grands used to put on Betty boop to help me get to sleep. That shit was rewind and repeat over there.
@@DorsettBarbra2014why are you talkin about betty boop in a reply to this guy?? Also just cuz someone is young doesn't mean they don't know what Betty Boop is. I just turned 20 and watched a lot of old shit like that as a kid. Hell, I even grew up with stuff like a record player with old records like monster mash or some Adam West Batman radio drama record and people at work will ask me if I know what a cd is. Younger people know way more than you think they do.
youd think the familywould sell the property when it was it was in its prime and make money
Agreed @@randomrazr
I agree!
So sad to see somebody's whole life just dimishing away. Thank you for sharing your journey!
Makes me sad.
Love how you try to find out about the last owners and share their life with us. . So sad to see in this condition.
It’s so nice this isn’t a haunted video and u have done normal exploring ❤
You can drink red wine as it ages well because it has tannins. The more it ages.,the better it becomes..as long as it has a good seal. White wine after maybe 4 years or so starts to degrade into vinegar..unless it’s champagne.
Hi Josh, been following for years. I miss the videos where you’re just exploring, finding cool random things, learning and teaching us the history of the places. Rather than, the ghost hunting videos where you all are always trying to communicate with spirits. I hope to see more videos of just exploring again. Love your channel. ❤
I went to interior architecture school for 5 years and studied furniture for 2 years. The interior paneling looks like either Blackwood, walnut or purple heart. (Paneling in the 60s was very trendy and common). Walnut is extremely expensive and not for people without money. Dining chairs/table chippendale 19th century Rococo style (Cabinets were director style), and some of the lamps were arts&crafts / art nouveau style (curvy sexy lines with love for nature). There was that gold chest which is a French baroque (Louis XV) style chest (remake), but today those chests are worth thousands to remake. Original chest in the 1700s, were made by Pierre Gole/Charles Boulle and are worth $100K-$200K. Rococo styles is an appreciation for Asian design, that’s why you see Asian art in their furniture. It is a mixture of different styles, so they have an appreciation for beautifully crafted objects from the 17th-early 20th century.
This is such a cool comment. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!!
Love this!
G'day Josh! Tbh.. I love paranormal investigations!.. Back in the day.. i found you, abandoned explorations, no paranormal stuff.. it gave my brain a break.. it was really nice.. i looked up your channel, just for this reason.. hopefully, u don't lose yourself to just paranormal.. the history on these abandoned place is just mind blowing ! Be u, Do u! xx
It had to sit longer than 5 years to warp the piano keys.... but the nostalgia reminds me of the type of things my parents owned back in the day. Thanks for sparking what few good memories I have. God bless, broSTAR.
Those hidden rooms kinda creeps me out. Also, the hidden bed downstairs. Stuff that makes you go, Hmm! Thanks for sharing your exploration. There's more questions than answers.
Its not a hidden room, it's a maids room. Kept them out of sight, kinds hidden
Those viewfinders bring back my childhood! I still have mine somewhere! The basement is amazing and the TV is like something from I want to say the 60s. This is why I'd love to urban explore, places like this hold so much history and are incredible. It's like you step into their shoes for a bit and go back in time.
Hey Josh !!! I’ve missed these abandoned videos❤️ I don’t know if you’ll see this but maybe sometimes when you investigate an abandoned house and you get a vibe spend a couple mins of the video doing a ghost investigation, I’ve never seen a TH-camr do it and I can totally see you doing it! Love these videos ❤️❤️
What I would do for a house like that. Absolutely beautiful. I love your abandon exploration vids!
I can already see the reason on why. Father and Mother dies, it's an emotional time keep. Either way, I would do anything to spend my life to its fullest in that house. I just wish that the kids did the same while it has such a wonderful personal value within the walls and floorboards.
There have been too many haunted house videos where you guys use equipments and stuff. It was exciting till October. I seriously missed the abandoned house videos. I hope this won’t be the only one now
Then dont look the ghost vids. Josh always has great vids, either abandoned or ghost
@@moniquelevering6558 Lmao!! Did I say his videos are not great? No matter how well you say it, there has to be someone who is pressed! Pity!
@@Ruby-hi4fhstup now get back in kitchen
@@godiskungen27 Sure! how about you get out of there first!
I agree I miss these casual old homes rather than ghost video’s
Josh, i don't watch ghost investigation channels, but not because i do or don't believe, it just doesn't engage my brain, i came here because i just watched beardo and i want to tell you what a wonderful decent kind grown up young man you are. Everyone should be lucky enough to have a friend just like you 🙂❤ lots of love from Tasmania Australia, don't change, Respect buddy ❤.
Sad this gem is already completely demolished! All the memories are all gone forever
I just want to cry knowing this... I would have refurbished it. 😔
@@SiSOfTheVioletFlame999 You got a few Mill to spare?
What you mean it set there forever
So what happened to all the pictures?
Curious as to why no one else from the family came to get any memorabilia.
I'd say that house had some flood damage at some point. Usually when you have parts of the wall missing and the floor torn up, it is because of people hired to come in and remove the water damaged parts of the house.
This is an absolute gem of a video Josh, such a shame it has been left in this state to decay even more.
Shame the boys of the doctor and his wife haven't done anything with the place. It would be beautiful if it was restored back to its original state 😢
There is definitely some amazing furniture and features that could be saved from there😢
Nice to see chilled Abandoned Explore keep safe
I missed this all so much!! So so interesting and cool house. Love it, welcome back to the abandoned ❤
Wow! What a find! ❤ All that furniture left behind 😱 That’s worth bank!! I hope some was salvaged! Awesome video Josh! ❤
This video made me kind of sad. It's such a waste to see someone's old life, and their home, just wasting away like that. With all the furniture being left there, it's so easy to imagine people sitting on those couches, listening to music. Makes me wonder what will happen to *my* home one day.
Right! It's so sad. It's life, it's inevitable, but still sad. The saddest part is that they had 3 children and none of them felt it important enough to atleast get the wedding photos and videos or other important things like that and keep them? It's kind of messed up! I couldn't leave such cherished things that I knew were important to my parents, to rot away.
Really missed the abandoned vids, its why i started follow you years ago❤
Its so sad to see such a large beautiful home left to wither away. I hope someone buys it and makes it beautiful again!
Loved this style of video. I think this is what you've done much of, but I'd never seen one of your abandoned vids, only paranormal. Love those, but this one felt like a documentary!
Good to see you back doing abandoned explores again.
Still nicer than my place.
It’s good to see you back doing the urbex videos.
It would be great to see how their current families react to this video.. it can be so emotional and beautiful for them to get back in time
I think everyone agrees… we want more abandon videos and less haunting ones!
Josh doing what he does best! I have followed you a long time. In my house we love the many adventures of your explore videos! Always you are respectful...I feel u...if only to have $$$$$ to restore some of these places!
Good to see you back at it!❤
Not military dude on lamp, it's a conductor, on a train
Josh I am so glad you are exploring abandons places again!!!!
Josh, is a great explorer,be sure to wear a mask especially around mold and in the abandoned houses. That newspaper was in 1965,year before I was born 😊
So sad josh. I lost my mom 15 yrs ago and hits my heart so m uch. Thank you so much for touching a part of my heart ive been protecting for the last week. . You are awesome I love your videos.
I loved " the wood is all blacked out" , Kinda like when there is a house fire, which would also explain the water damage from putting out the fire, not leaky plumbing
Oh yeah back to exploring without ghost hunting!!, that deserves a like for that reason lol
You never stop josh. Maximum respect. Can’t wait for another investigation
Thanks yet again Josh for showing us someone who is forgotten- it's interesting to see someones life frozen in time.
Looking forward to thr next one.
Josh it's just a shame that beautiful homes like that just go to waste nobody claims it or takes care of it or anything it's just it's just heartbreaking to see that I love these kind of videos
I don’t understand why people just leave their belongings in their homes like this.
Cuz they have too much
Bring back more videos like this please ❤
A lot of videos like this will be coming out trust me. I'm filming them as we speak.
I'll make a post about this on my community tab too.
Great video, Josh. Like you, I too am a cat lover; when I saw the painting of them in the poker room, I almost cried. ❤😺 That house must have been abandoned over 20 years ago. Anyway, keep up the good work! From Paul in California. 👍👍👍👍📹🏚️
Thank god josh never let’s us down I check for Dan, Andrew and no new videos but boom josh 2 minutes ago 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You should do more videos with this girl, she seems pretty cool!
About the mugs in basement…not stainless steel…most likely pewter. Very cool tour though.
Splendid to see another Abandoned urbex vid, definitely your foundation and reason I subscribed years ago, you and Cody! Urbex vids definitely the best xD
Finally ABANDONED with josh and not just HAUNTED with josh💀
That place was amazing Josh, i think it has been abandoned for at least 20 years
Josh, there’s black mold all over those spaces where there’s water damage. You should really be wearing a mask so you don’t get sick!
That picture of the little girl in the dining room looks so much like my mom… it’s eerie! Love how you care about the history of the home and not just the things you find inside of it ❤
Enjoyed the video! The property was lovely.... Thanks for sharing with us! Bright Blessings & Many Smiles...
The way you talk its super calming when you do these exploring type videos. & the places you go are amazing. My parents have been watching these with me & points out the stuff that they either had or their friends or our family had when they were growing up. They also enjoy the architecture
I could watch these kinds of videos all day, this is old school Josh, do more of these please 👍….. sorry the paranormal is not my thing.
Its mindblowing how such a beautiful home and pool like that is abandoned!!! Josh your videos are incredible, thank you. So eerie & interesting.
That cat picture was cool. It reminds me of this arcade I used to go too when I was a teen. Had those cat pictures all over the arcade walls. Pool tables and arcade games
25:55 Josh they cut out the wet carpet and padding and either it was dry under that heavy bed or they just didn't want to deal with moving it right then.
Josh the list of rules for the house as well as the punishment rules were given to the nanny so she could tend to the children and not bother the parents with such things . I read this on some paperwork I was given once . Along with a lot of other odd things that were to be completed As part of the duties for the nanny position . When I asked about it at the interview i was told that this is what a nanny does along with other duties ,but that all rich families were different . I mean I understand the nanny is supposed to take care of the children , but I didn't like that idea of the nanny doing the disciplining . I believe that the parents should be the ones that take care of the discipline when it comes to the children not the nanny. Figured I would share that with you hope it helped .
10:30 used to have one of these when i was younger. wish i still had one of these, i gotta try exploring like you. i love seeing older things, makes me wish i could’ve lived back when they had these things
Your best Vid ever Josh! So much to take in. Exciting, interesting, great camera work as usual. Never disappointed tuning in watching for years from the hills of Rome Italy.
it’s for sale??? omg i’d buy that. I don’t know how it ever end up abandoned! these abandoned places are always so gorgeous I don’t know how they end up abandoned in the first place. really makes you think…
Don't live in that state anymore that's why
Omg Josh my heart exploded when you said KB Toys ! 😍😍 I used to love going there too lol. I feel like no one I know remember that place lol.
It is sad to see this condition. One of the saddest things I've ever seen. And you are right. The owner of the house is really a legend, smart and hardworking when he was alive. It's also difficult to create and leave behind so many awards, memorable things if he didn't become a legend when he was alive. I hope he is in a good place now. May he rest in peace.
Thank you Josh for sharing this good content. You are one of my favorite. Keep up the good work. But don’t forget to always keep safe wherever you go. God bless you! Have a happy new year 🎉
Congrats to Josh and his collaborators on taking his videos to a higher level of entertainment and intrigue. (The last few months) Keep it up Josh and continue to Rise Above!🎉
That oriental style furniture is NOT cheap! I can’t believe all that has been left behind. I’m dying over here wishing I could get my hands on it lol I looooove oriental style furniture. Sturdy, beautifully crafted, just not cheap….thanks Josh for sharing!
16:06 sorry but it's that's called a VHS. A VCR is what you use to play them on
I like the music you used in your video!❤ I appreciate that it isnt depressing like some other videos are!!! ❤
That dude lived a life for sure. The room with the bed and cut carpet may of been where he passed. Possibly fell to the floor and it left blood and other bofy fluids behing. So it was cur away. Maybe..... What a life though and would of been a superb house for sure. Love that bar downstairs.
This was an amazing time capsule of beautiful love in the home.😢 33:48
26:10 the carpet/flooring being removed could of been where the owner died in the house and the bio team came and removed the body
Hopefully whoever buys the property preserves/sells/keeps the furniture. Those pieces are gorgeous
The yard swimming pool love it.the attic looks never lived in.great find josh and friends.
This looks to have been a beautiful home, sad how it’s deteriorated…..it’s even more sad how it’s trashed. Left behind homes have a lot of memories and stories .
The 90s were great. As you can see the future looked good from a 90s perspective. Now we know the future turned out grim and in contrast with our visions.
Hey Josh I missed your explorations videos ❤
love these videos. and yeah a mini investigation a quick talk with the spirits would be even more amazing. take care .good job.
If I remember correctly, some other explorers went here at night and there was someone else there with them. Needless to say they got out QUICKLY
Literally was just looking for something to watch, perfect timing dude 👌🏻☺️
It’s always super eerie when people just leave everything and leaves. It makes you think what the heck happened to those people. Abandoned places are always creepy.
I hope you remembered to close that patio door you opened at 27:40. You opened it and then just walked away.
Awesome video nice to see abandoned again
“Blacked out” 😂😂😂 dude that’s not a decor decision, it’s black mold.
Usually, wine ages well in the dark. If you open it I would suggest you smell it before you drink it. If it smells like vinegar don't drink it.
Thanks for sharing sad its abandoned too bad they torn down
Those rules and punishments make me wonder if they had foster children.
In order to afford paying bills
Rules could have been in writing for a nanny. Not allowing friends over…. So strict!
Hi Josh! I’m so glad you left all your per normal toys 🧸 @ home! I personally hate the ghost 👻 stuff,..but,..you and the kids r insane for it. So be it!
Be carefull with mold in old homes please! If you breath the wrong mold you can get very sick!
I'm pretty sure that you can drink old wine 🍷 if it's still sealed. Aged wine 🍷 can be costly, as I've heard people will pay good prices for it. I don't care for wine, but I love a nice cold micro-brew or a mixed drink 🍻.
Awesome video like always dude, I think big flood ( inside pipe broke or something ) happen and insurance paid enough money to let them leave all those beatifull items .. ( contractor company start checking damages that's why floor and walls were cut in multiple spots ... damages went too far and it was not worth to fix )
Cheers 🍻
Ohhh so excited for this video! I missed the abandoned house videos A LOT.
The room with the half removed carpet was probably where one of the owners died. Bio clean up crews sometimes have to remove carpet and sub floor after bodies have sat on them awhile. Sad to think one of them probably died and sat alone for who knows how long.
I was just watching his videos for like 3 and half hours and while I was watching he posted another one can't wait to watch this one🔥
Same!
Jack in the box is a game for kids. Where you crank a lever on a box and a clown pops out. You were referring to Cracker Jacks which you can still buy.
it's also a fast food restaurant :)
Jack in the Box is a fast food place just like McDonalds. That’s probably why they were written next to each other on that list lol
