I'm looking at going back to a basic phone, but I'm also thinking a wrist phone might be a good option. My issue with both of them is the texting and also lack of voice-to text (dictation) typing. Do you know of either a phone or watch that is a lower price range that would accommodate the voice typing (I don't need Internet)? Thanks!

I'm assuming that if you have music on an SD card and use bluetooth headphones, you can connect as long so your watch isn't connected to the phone. I'll try it out when I get mine Thursday. Can you try it? I'm considering a $5/mo line. I'm trying this out because I want the LG Urbane 2, but watches used to irritate me. This is perfect to test out.

The speaker is pretty loud and beefy sounding for a $9 smartwatch. I just got mine in yesterday. my firmware is newer (2018/09)

you can either send music via Bluetooth or you can insert a sd card in PC or phone and move the music into the sd card and put it back in watch

King Reem yes it does work with iOS through Bluetooth but it is limited I think it does still get text messages
Huck's World I haven't found a way to get texts to my iPhone showing up on my watch I have the 3.0 version. All I can do is play music make calls

When I installed my SIM card it says it will only connect using T Mobile or AT & T.. Anyone else having this issue? I use Verizon and my SIM wont work..
Peter Pendola this watch only handles GSM network sims. Verizon/Boost/Sprint are CDMA. Will not work.

Best
To add Bluetooth headset or speaker, go to Bluetooth settings and make sure it is on. then go to Bluetooth dialer and search for device. Turn device on and select to pair.
Try music, if it still comes out of watch, go to Bluetooth, turn off. turn back on. Bluetooth dialer and reselect device. Now music will play through speaker or headset from your watch. If you move the watch or your body a lot, the Bluetooth signal will break.
Can you see your email messages on the watch?

+Samantha Cline your questions are always welcome you never have to be sorry ask away I think the original Galaxy Gear and the Gear 2 you should find a decent price if you think about refurbished or used you can find it at a better deal around 40 to 50 dollars on eBay or see if they have any deals on the Galaxy Gear on Amazon.com if I see any deals I will let you know.

It was hard to finde the specs for my DZ09, i foundd out mine is a version that came this year, called by some youtubers 2.5 whitout the caculator andradio but whit the facebook, wasapp, twitter apps added. I made on my blog a review/presentation but only in romanian language. Bluetooth differs from 2.0, 3.0 the older version used to 4.1 mine uses, actualli this is my second smartwathi i own an oxo smartwatch (a rebranded version of the U8 U Watch)

A scam. I see NO ONE successfully using this device as a stand alone phone. ANY SIM card is useless. It will recognize them, but does not use them.
