I'm surprised you completely ignored the clear plastic bar as well as the 4 black port stickers. It seems you're following an OLD instruction template. Every year Whitestone adds new items and new steps to perfect the process (more even dispersion, less bubbles, better protection to the rest of the phone). Glad it worked out well though.
Edit: sorry lol you mentioned it right at the end.

The 4 long black stickers were to go along the sides of your phone to protect your buttons, speaker grill on bottom, charging port and volume rocker etc, that long plastic piece was supposed to go over your tray and sit on top length ways and there is a circle in the middle as a guide which is to align the glue once the glue reaches the circle you supposed to let the screen protector drop on the phone that is what the extra pieces were for lol. This is an expensive protector Maybe you should of investigated the instructions properly or watched other videos for fitting before you fitted the protector on !!! This is like putting together a flat pack and leaving a few screws out lol. I'd be snapping if I followed your instructions and got glue in the bottom speaker grill or buttons or charging port 🤨🤨🤨

That plastic spread bar you didn't use from the beginning is used to make the adhesive spread evenly. You're supposed to put it over the frame and let's its weight evenly press the bubbles and edges out and flat

Dude! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR THIS SERIES!!! You saved me so much heartache & SWEARS not to mention MONEY$!!! I am a total beginner for the glass front covers.. & I will be going with this one FO SHO THANKS TO YOU!!! In the past, I have used Tech21 Evo Wallet Cases so the front has been protected... BUT as of NOW, Tech21 doesn't offer a wallet for the S20... so I decided it must be a sign that I give in, & move from function winning over fun & go girly, sparkly, fun, with a case from Case-mate (secretly hoping it is the best of both worlds being that it says it provides a 10ft drop protection - Tech21's I have had have been 12ft))... sooo wondering from your expert stance what your advice would be on the case side? I know Tech 21 is always a WIN but what about Case-mate... have you used that one? or anyone else out there used it & had good drop protection? THANK YOU AGAIN!!!! so happy I found you!!! :)

Your welcome talk, I’m glad my video was able to help you. Helping people like you are the reason I keep doing these videos. As for cases I’ve been using the Ringke fusion x for all my phones and it’s been great. I have even dropped my phone a few times and it’s still in brand new condition. I also use a glass screen protector to protect the from glass. I took a look at tech 21’s website and was shocked at how much the cases cost, $30-$40?? They don’t look much more than a piece of plastic, I would take a look at some of the Ringke cases some of them look just like the tech 21 and they have others for a much cheaper price.

They removed it, refunded me and they tried again with another new one. Tried it for couple days, orange peel look and bubbles everywhere. THey gave my money back since its 50.00. I bought WhiteStone and followed your video. Better than any job rep at ATT did and costed me 10 more dollars and its tempered glass.... Great job on this video...

I had the same issue with my S10+ last year. Some cases indeed have edges that are too sharp/too close to the actual screen corners and they indeed lift the protector and create air bubbles.
I highly suggest to google "Compatible Whitestone Dome Cases S20 Ultra", there are a lot of reddit posts where people confirm which cases are compatible with the Dome.
I currently have a Spigen Liquid Air Matt Black case and a friend of mine the Spigen Neo Hybrid for the S20 Ultra, both are compatible. :)

I have an S8+ and have used this with a defender case since 2016 without issues. I just got a warranty replacement phone yesterday due to a hardware issue and put another one of these screen protectors on today and tomorrow will put it back in my defender case. My other phone had 0 screen damage or any damage. I did have itsy bitsy crack on the edge of screen protector. I'd say from 2016 to 2021, it definitely did it's job! Well enough that had it not been for the software not updating, I could have easily used my phone as a trade in.

Thanks for the video. You forgot the long plastic piece that should have placed pressure on the protector. That was the reason you had a bubble in the center.
I installed it. It is protecting the display like you placed a nuclear shield on it!!! BUT, the fingerprint reader is 90% a miss all the time. It requires placing the finger on the reader's location a few times, pressing HARD on the glass (even in your video we can see it), and takes about 2 seconds of not moving the finger before it reads it, when it does! I hate it.
Edit: I registered my thumbs twice (as two fingers of the right thumb, and two fingers of the left thumb), I turned the Touch Sensitivity feature ON... Nothing. This is insane.
Is there a way to safely and cleanly remove this piece of crap off the phone? I cannot recommend it for anyone who needs quick access to the phone via the fingerprint reader.

You missed one key step. After the first curing process, you need to press firmly with your thumb on the protector where the fingerprint scanner is located. If you do so, you won't have any problems with the phone recognizing your fingerprints, as long as you enable the touch sensitivity feature.

  • @Wrackey

Had one installed. Had some cracks on the corners after a few months. Got worse after that, and had to remove it. The only thing special about these things are the glue they use. I tried other, cheaper brands since then, and the whitestone dome glass stays "sticky" so to say, while glue on cheaper products turned solid. This means that low pressure from the sides can lift up the corners on the cheaper ones, and they won't stay back down. Whitestone dome glass on the other hand, stays softer. Upside: Sides don't peel. Down sides: small impact on corners breaks the class, as the glue underneath offers no support (And no I didn't throw my phone across the room, cracked one of the corners while accidentally tapping the a corner against a tooth!) Considering that, and the fact that my UV light has a terrible quality cable that has a break in it after one use, makes me say that the whitestone dome glass is INCREDIBLY overpriced!! If I could buy an extra glass and some glue for €10, and the USB cable for the light was a bit better, I would have highly recommended this product.... but I won't be buying another at €45, to buy an entire kit, that I already own, for just another couple of months of screen protection. It's the best option out there.. it's just WAY overpriced.
