Mandy you literally never miss on this channel, you’re absolutely killing it every time 🤤 I’ve planted ginger spring onions and chillies to save money 😅
Indeed, young Only, her name is Mandy. Hope you're learning a lot about Chinese cooking and maybe other arts. Jan: 'Every recipe I try comes out delicious'. You nailed it! As for the gardener, you must be cooking a lot of Chinese food. Best fortune with your endeavors. At some point I hope to also grow ginger in pots way up north here in Washington State.
Quick and easy meals is the best not just for busy people but for the elderly folks also and that's me I love this recipe I will be making this today😊❤ thank you so much for sharing❤USA, North Carolina❤
Please do make full meals. I’ve been following you so long. I am hoping someday you write a cookbook. Being non Asian I really appreciate when the cooks tell you what type of dishes go together. Hot Thai kitchen went to a restaurant and presented how Thai people combine their dishes. Very interesting. 😊
I didn't know what to cook for lunch so just searched and your video came up as usual, but it was my first time watching this recipe. I cooked it right away and OMG it was one of the best meals I've cooked in a LOOOONG time ❤
This sounds like a wonderful meal.. I love seeing a "full meal" fixed, especially since this seems pretty basic without 52 ingredients and 40 different steps! I have loved every recipe of yours that I have tried, including the moon cakes for the festival. My friend from Korea loved them, too!
Congrats on your channel's performance, Mandy. One food category I'd like to see you prepare are STOCKS and BROTHS. Really, when i make your dishes with homemade stock, they come out top tier... You are only as good as the ingredients you use, my chef always taught me.
Do you have room for me? I'm so hungry.. I love the way you explain it and so enthusiastic about it. Chinese food is in my top 5 cuisines list close to the top. Thank you so much for working hard for this channel.
Thumbs up for more of these budget friendly dinner meals! And if there is a particular beverage and/or dessert that you could recommend. 👍. p.s. Made this tonight and it was a delight to cook as much as to eat. Like real magic!
Hello Mandy!! Wow!! All your recipes are very delicious. I wish you will publishing your recipes cooking books someday. And i hope it will translating into Germany too. ❤
LOVE how you wove in the summer goods: cold meat to keep, noodles made by the hot broth (gotta cook anyhow...). On a hot summer night outside, I would surely make this. Your lard appears to be natural lard. I can only imagine what underpinnings of delicious pork belly come through. I cook also with lard. I swear the unhealthy rumor is nothing more than how the word sounds. In the local Safeway, I discovered it pays to ask for good produce. They now stock flowering mini choy sum (buds unopened) and what I believe might actually be real Chinese Okra. Arlington Safeway blows my mind lately. I should ask for pork belly and camp at my mom's this summer. Living in an apartment, there is no way to make good lard and enjoy what we call 'chitlins': the twisted, perfectly rendered crisps of pigbelly perfection.
Hi, Mandy. This is the exact style of cooking that I love. It showcases the diversity of Chinese regional cuisine. It would be fantastic if you could make some more finger food recipes. How about some BBQ items?
This looks so tasty! I have a question, though. Could the noodles be boiled directly in the broth, or is there a reason you cooked them separately? When I cook, I try to minimize the number of dishes I have to clean.
I almost died now. the smells of sichuan pepper corns ans chillies. fucxs sake omg… I can’t even finish the recipe…. sitting in another room, waiting for kitchen to air through… 😂
This is lovely, and the first time I've succeeded (though I have often tried) in achieving the promised fireworks of that marriage of Sichuan pepper and chili. It all worked spectacularly. BTW, I cooked the noodles in the seasoned soup. Is there a reason why you don't? Too much starch perhaps?
It is a type of mild chili in China, called Tianyingjiao (天鹰椒). it has a bright red color, which makes the dish pretty in presentation. after toasted, it also developes a smoky and complex fragrance. You can use mild dried chili that you can find in your local Asian market.

Doing well on the ytube. Nice new house and kitchen. I remember her first vids in a 1970's dungy like kitchen.
1:35 That is a really nice cutting board.
Please show more of those.😀👍
Hi Mandi! Love this technique for a quick dinner. Question - why not boil the noodles in the soup broth? Thanks!
And, I'm always a sucker for noodle dishes.

Looks delicious! What can I use to substitute pork lard?
butter
What kind of pepper are the ones that are for fragrance and presentation, if you don't mind
