The WORST Level in Super Mario Land 2

- I think I found the worst level, not just in Super Mario Bros, but maybe in any game I've ever played before. I need you all to witness the monstrosity that is "Star Stage" aka "Space Zone Level 2".
This SML 2 level has ZERO redeemable qualities. The lack of enemy variety, tech issues, and one of the worst boss fights ever hurts my soul every time I give this game a playthrough.
Super Mario Land 2 holds a soft place in my heart so trust me when I say my emotions about this level are as sincere as they get.

The Mario Land and Wario Land series deserve more love from Nintendo. Also this level has one good quality: the song
For games that sold so well it's wild to think how little people even know of them now.

Super Mario land 2 does have the appearance of everyone’s favorite Mario character Jason.
This level would be fixed right away if all 200+ of the stars were replaced with Jason

I think you kind of sped through the beginning of this a little, but this was a fun listen and it hit a more steady pace as time went on. SML2 was definitely one of those games where oddball decisions turned out for the better. And they got a lot of mileage off of one catchy melody. I think that was the first game where I noticed you could recycle music in different rhythms for different moods. Oddly enough, i didnt think you were going to reference this level. I dont exactly have one in mind but the space level never particularly bothered me. Totanga on the other hand - yes, i think we all just stood in place to beat him. Big letdown. Do you have another game you're looking to break down?
Thank you! I'm still working on pacing and all that, but I'd like to think it's a decent start. Yea I miss Mario being a weird notsetinstone thing like it is now. I do think things are starting to get better in that regard tho.
Not sure which Mario game is next. I need to pick a random one, beat it, and decide which level is the worst along the way.
Are you trying to tell me that the Funky Star Song level ISN'T the best in the game? For shame.
The worst Mario level of all history is the episode of the super show where they rap for 20 minutes straight. it'd be much better if they rapped for 20 minutes gay instead.
The music is actually the saving grace of that level. I give it 1 week before someone comes in and tells me, "bro but the music is AMAZING". WE'RE IGNORING THE MUSIC FOR NOW!
