We visit Alton Towers Resort Water Park to celebrate Australia Day, January 26th 2014. Includes POV of Master Blaster Water Coaster, the slides & flumes. Music: 'Swimming' by Florence and the Machine.
About 3 years ago I was absolutely obsessed with Alton Towers and Splash landings and I used to watch this video ALL THE TIME ( I liked the song and how it fits with the video) so now finding it now brings back so many memories 💗
I wish master blaster wasn't always sooo busy, but the ones where you can pick themes are better in my opinion for the uniqueness of them, master blaster for the overall thrill
Been to splash landings 3 times now and will continue to visit. Very relaxing indoor hot tub, and great slides. The pool on entering the flash flood outdoor slides I found a bit chilly, but after the second slide you can then get into the warm bubble pool before going back into the water park. Also nice room and good selection of food for breakfast and meals.
All that are concerned about the baby being under water obviously aren't parent's urself. Baby's have a natural reflex to hold their breath under water and it is a GREAT way to build their confidence in the water. My 3 yr old loves swimming because I took the time out to take her to a water babies class every week where they encourage u to dunk them under the water. So before commenting on something u obviously know nothing about, do ur research!! Great vid btw, 2 more sleeps and we are going :)
Yes I am a parent, so you you got that wrong! And it's pretty prosperous of you to think that and take that risk! So as a parent you fit in the bad parenting list!
@@danielledewitt1 yes I know they can still drown when unsupervised But dunking them under the water is fine, their with a parent and their under for no more than 2-3secconds
I can watch this video 24/7 its so good aha, haven't been to the water park since I was six. I only go to the theme park, but this is making me want to go! Great video :)
clsvlogs Hey, thanks :-) yeah - we usually only bother with the theme park, but we decided to try this one winter when the park was closed... and really enjoyed it. :-)
I remeber going on these rides last year with my brother. Me and him went on the ride with the double rubber ring (forgot what it was called). We had to wait awhile but it was worth every second!
For everyone who is raging about the babies being dunked under the water, when the baby is in the womb, it learns to hold it's breath. A baby can stay under water for up to 5 minutes before it starts to drown.
Beauty Princess If they didn't know, that's where the internet comes in handy! And we are simply stopping people make a fool of themselves. Stick your comment up your ass
I’ve been once for my birthday. Once at Christmas for the Christmas event we took my 5 year old brother at the time! I was 16😂 then once to the theme park in year 11 for the leavers trip truly amazing
Great video! We are heading there next month. I was just wondering, how deep are the pools at the end of the slides? I have a couple of non-swimmer kids in tow.
LittlestarRed Thanks, hope you have a good trip... (if you haven't been already?!) lol. The water in the splashdown pools is about 3 - 4 feet deep (guestimate).
Would you say that this Water park would be suitable for a group of 14/15 yr old girls? I've been there before when I was like 12 and it was rly fun and I remember it quite well. Just wondering?
When I went to waterpark the outdoor slides were really dirty and there were a couple of snails on them!!! Thank god I wasn't going fast enough to bank round the corners and go into them!
"your songs remind me of swimming"! lol I love it to hence using it! I think Florence is singing to a musical influence of hers, and I think that influence is Kate Bush (for the purposes of this song), it has heavy influences from 'Cloudbusting'... Flo is diving in, the music is breathtakingly overwhelming her and she is drowning in emotion! lol
Nicole Busko Hi Nicole. :-) We love Natasha very much and certainly wouldn't put her in any danger, she's a great swimmer and loves it. Babies have a natural reflex to hold their breath underwater, have a quick google search to find out more. Useful info for parents. :-)
Rachy Penguins The water's fins Rachy! Except for if you go in the outdoor jacuzzi which is warmer than the rest of the park's water... its alright while IN the jacuzzi, but feels very cold when you get back in the rest of the water!
Funny eneogh, I'm going tomorrow and it's like 5 pm After going so many times u can't get enough Which is your favourite slide Masterblaster The black and white hole Flash floods
So are you allowed cameras in there now no problem? Wanted to for years but never been allowed. Did you have to sneak it onto the slides or just carry it on not an issue?
osama binpoohead yes they are actually quite fun and apart from the water park. There is a really nice hotel next to it.Well actually 4 hotels next to it!
Hi Connie :-) There are 2 main slides, the Master Blaster, and 6 *very short* slides linking the pools at the outdoor section. We found more slides and attractions at Sandcastle than here at Alton's Water Park. :-)
the baby breathed fluid for 9 months in the womb. the body remembers and has a natural breath hold. the baby actually looked very curious under the water. aswesome place though, ive stayed in the hotel twice and really enjoyed the water park.
Why are people concerned about the baby and water... Depending on the age of the baby. Babies have a reflex that stop them breathing under water... Do you really think the mother of that child would risk her own babies life? SO WHERES BETTER ALTON TOWER WARER PARK OR BLACKPOOL SAND CASTLE?
Hi Ally :-) Indeed! lol - Natasha loves the water. Anyway, yeah, we discussed Alton's water park VS Sandcastle... and concluded Sandcastle as the better park. - There's many more rides, the slides are longer, plus they have the wave pool which Alton's lacks. TOP TIP is to go later in the day, many families are there early so leave before 4pm, after which time the queues are MUCH shorter.
I found they had a good selection of food for breakfast and meals and I thought it was ok considering when you pay the note and help yourself to what ever and how much you want. If the food was expensive top quality then there may not be as much selection to go round to suit everyone's taste.
TheDeno786 babies have a natural reflex to hold their breath underwater. They were in the womb for 9 months where is in case you forgot completely submerged in fluid
Omg no way 🥺 I haven't watched this video in 7 years, and that was when I actually came here. Those memories before covid. 💪🏼❤️

kayleigh battley Babies qnd small children can drown in very very shallow water, you need reporting for trying to drown your child.
Yes I am a parent, so you you got that wrong! And it's pretty prosperous of you to think that and take that risk! So as a parent you fit in the bad parenting list!
CanWeGet5000SubsWithNoVids Actually babies and children can still drown and do.
@@danielledewitt1 yes I know they can still drown when unsupervised

Hi Ben, yes, Alton Towers water park now allow cameras.
Thanks dude. Great vid!
Cheers for the video, was thinking about going but the slides look really tame.
My pleasure.. yeah, they're fun, but we found better slides in Blackpool's Sandcastle!
osama binpoohead yes they are actually quite fun and apart from the water park. There is a really nice hotel next to it.Well actually 4 hotels next to it!
Excellent video! Just got back a few days ago from the water park and at school tomorrow, so Im just reminiscing hahaha!
I'm not being mean but can't the baby drown from that
Candy Joens Yes the baby can drown from that.
I'm going there in 2 days, on Tuesday! I'm really exited! But, it takes 3 hours to get there. :( Another hour and we will be in Cornwall!
How many slides are there

Nice video :) Did you have to get permission to use your camera at the park?
Hi Stephen.
No! LOL At the time we filmed this, Alton Towers had *just* revised their policy to allow cameras into the waterpark... :-)
www.ukrides.info Ooh nice :) Not many places allow them so that's good :)

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 the last time I whet to alten towers I didn't know that there was a water park
*Alton
Its rlly good you should give it a visit next time ur there, which probably wint be anytime soon...🥺😭

Why would u put the baby under wqter
to see if it drowned...!
i stayed in the splash landing hotel food bad quality staff kindess great xx

The babyunder water..???
They can hold there breatg🤨
how can babys go under water
And open their eyes and not be able to breathe for that long!
They're born with a natural resistance or something like that! I guess you don't have it permanently though!
I went there and I went under the bucket I got just so happy but I'm not because I'm at home going Drayton manor park
Drayton's a fun park, enjoy!
How old were yoy when u went there
I've been on this ride it is awesome

I've been to Alton Towers 4 times yet I have never seen the water park 🤦♀️

It isn't the master blaster cause it's in Alton towers

You should not be spitting in the water but great video👍
it is funny 2 cause they opened their eyes up. people could of peed in there... lol
Nicole Busko Its full of children... I expect they've ALL peed in there... and they're not the only ones!! pmsl ;-)
been there for BN, was great to be naked....
It looks like a copy of Blackpool sandcastle
*****
Hi :-) Naah - Blackpool's Sandcastle dates back to 1986, Alton's water park opened in 2003.
Also Pleasure Beach has been around longer than Alton Towers Theme Park
it does
this is blackpool because i know everything is the exact same
Joseph Furniss No it’s not because there is no wave pool.
WHY WOULD YOU PUT THAT BABY IN THE WATER!!!! SELFISH PARENTS!!
TheDeno786 babies have a natural reflex to hold their breath underwater. They were in the womb for 9 months where is in case you forgot completely submerged in fluid
I don't like it because they took a baby under water. that baby could have died
Your wrong. Very wrong. The baby has learnt how to breathe, it can hold it breath for 5 mins. I'm 10 and I know that...
bubblegumfrnk We adults know better than you. That baby’s parents tried to drown the baby.
@@danielledewitt1 No? They have a naturual reflex that holds their breath, it was fine, they weren't even under the water for that long
Archman 155 Long enough for baby to drown.
@@danielledewitt1 babies can survive underwater for up to like, 2 minutes, you really think the mother kept her in for over 2 minutes? are you ok
Disliked due to attempted drowning of a baby.
