    Excellent, informative videos. I would like to pick your brain if i may. I have a Arrma Granite 3s BLX. I bought used and am starting to perform necessary maintenance to it. It has the SLT3 Transmitter and SR315 Receiver. The truck runs great but only has a 75 foot diameter control range before it shuts down. I can get running again as I walk towards it. The antenna seems to be ok but what do I know. Before I purchase a new receiver I was wondering if it could be something in the ESC like a range fail safe and if there was a way to trouble shoot or reprogram. Thanks.......

    Can I swap this for the replacement? If so, any tips?

    • @rcbustanut2057
      @rcbustanut2057 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alexnava8729 Hi, as long as your car has a receiver that is not built into the ESC, you can swap it out & replace it with any new controller. New controllers will typically come with a new receiver. I can recommend you the Radiolink RC4GS controller, it's what I use on my cars. 4 channels, tons of tunability & 1200 ft range. I bought mine for like $60, that controller with receiver. It also has a built-in gyro sensor that can be tuned, enabled or disabled. If your using the car as a drift car, the gyro sensor function can be extremely useful for you.

    Hi guys, I know this is an oldier Video and I don't know if you even still monitor but I have a question in this realm. I recently picked up an original Tamiya BlackFoot from a friend of mine it has the original servo controlled speed controller in it and I am trying to connect a radio that I already own to it. the radio is a 7 channel (not gonna stay in the truck) hobby porter HP-007. I think I need to power the receiver because there is a wire coming from the on/off switch that I think connects to the receiver. the problem is that I don't know where to plug in the power connector because there is nothing indicating where the battery should go, each port is marked with a channel number but NO batt connector. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
    I'm just trying to get the truck running for my buddies daughter for her birthday :) gonna get a 2 or 3 channel radio for it once it know it runs BTW I already reached out to hobby porter too But I'm kinda impatient LOL.

    • @JustKeepLivingFPV
      @JustKeepLivingFPV ปีที่แล้ว

      This is what I'm here for myself. What I've found out is that there is an exposed bit at the end of the wire and that is what's important. You want that at the top so by pulling all the excess through and hanging the wire down is actually bad. You want that part at the top of the tube. Leave the slack inside the recievers box.

      Quite often the electronic component (potentiometer) on your controllers' steering goes out. Sometimes by itself, but mostly because of mechanical damage. If there is no input, then this is most likely what have happened. Unfortunately the only way to fix it, is to replace it.

      Check all trim settings. Recenter the servo arm of it's not properly mounted and centered to the servo gears. If it continues, and only turns that way with power to the radio it's in the settings. If the car sits straight with the radio off and cuts when power to the radio comes on keep checking your trim and channel setting.
