Love this video! Thanks for sharing advice on how to marry up a firebox and cook chamber. Frank, really appreciate your humility and how you lift up other guys in the smoker building business! Some people might see them as competitors and you obviously see them as friends. You’re of a rare breed these days.

Hi there, new to smoking in general but enjoying your content. Was thinking about you and Shane talking about firebox fit ups. Was thinking maybe a fibreglass mesh around the tank. Once hard cut to size, transfer to a cardboard box cut out to correct fit up then transfer to wooden box for a permanent jig you can repeatedly use for same types. Any other types make new jigs.

Glad to see ya out there. Did not know if you were still doing it. If your still selling your plans, might need to look into it a bit later. Money right now, but want to try.

Greatly appreciate the video... Quick question,im not a builder. But how would i diagnose a draw issue? As in firebox too low or exhuast to small. Thanks

Sorry for the late reply, but this is a great question!
Firebox too low would be more of an intense heat zone on the firebox end of things throat too small would be more like no matter how big of a fire you build or how much air you let the fire have, you won’t be able to get hot enough.
Force air in with a fan of some kind and you might be able to make temp
