I’ve always learned only grease the slide pins on disc brake calipers. No grease anyplace else that may introduce grease into disc and reduce stopping power
Ok, I got a real question. I have a 2004 vw Jetta , need to replace my rear coil spring and shocks. The book is telling me I need 4, fucking 4 jacks to do this, or a lift and 2 jacks. From what the book says 45 min job, IF you have the jacks. I tried doing it with 2 jacks, couldn't get the spring out, is it there any other way without doing it with 4 jacks or am I screwed, like the typical American?
Wearing a ring for this work? I'm an electrician, obviously I can't wear one, but you shouldnt either, you could smash it or scrap it and it gets messed up, gold is soft.
Buddy I told my new wife as of 2 weeks and 2 days ago this morning when I woke up I should leave it here and order some silicone rings Well I forgot about taking it off this morning but I did when I got home and stuck a silicone ring on
I've driven small cars like these for years. I love them because they're so easy to work on.
No gloves ......a man after my own heart
God bless you brother
Great video Rich! Simple and straight to the point.
Does it matter if the clips go back in the same positions, because the tabbed clip was originally on the top.
No

They need the body up so the suspension unwinds and the other two Jack's control the axle down evenly so you don't get hurt
Anti seize the rub points and pins semi floating caliber
Absolutely not
You know I don't like Anti Seize Lol I HATE IT
I’m surprised the rotors aren’t eaten up knowing Nissan drivers
You're right. Nissans literally eat brakes!
No audible clip on the break pads and yes those pads were thinner than a thin crust pizza lol
Thanks man no b******* just how the job needs to be done Correctly
Toyota isn't that great, either. The rotors went out before the pads in my aunt's Camry(?!) The brakes had to be crap when she first bought the car!
