  • These past two weeks I spent more time resting and planning for my next set of weavings. This meant plenty of sketching and prepping color schemes, plus my favorite part of digging deep into what the art will represent when it is complete. Watch to learn my thoughts of living seasonally 😊

Thank you for such a beautiful reflection. Your words made connections in my heart. How often do I find myself rushing and missing a “season”. Your wall weavings in the background are exquisite. ❤

Thank you! There's something very vulnerable about talking about art, so it's really helpful to hear when it matters to people ☺

This was so fun and relaxing! You have so many hobbies, it's making me want to sit down and knit or read again instead of being so productive with work all the time. I do have a question - what is the spinny thing at the end and why do you start with the black yarn?

Lol I do have a lot of hobbies, it's not always ideal. The spinny thing is a warping mill, so on it I create my warps which I can then attach to a loom and weave. But I want each thread in my warp to be the same length, so I start with a pre-measured piece of scrap yarn to set a track of sorts, which I follow with my warp yarn to keep it all even and nice. So for this I needed the warp to total 133 inches long and 120 threads in total, so I used the warping mill to get that without having to measure each thread individually because that would take forever and be a horrible tangled mess
