I’m literally…almost crying. I dream visiting this place and I haven’t gotten a chance yet. Hopefully in a near future I will be visiting this place and some other places in Sicily. I’m fascinated and I love Italian culture and people.

All 3 Godfather movies are great. I visited Taormina when I was in the U.S.Navy in 1972 on my very first Mediterranaen cruise an also on my second Medterranean cruise in 1973. I didn't that Savoca was up on the mountain from Taormina. The scenery is great there.

I don’t know that exact place but the hill where he was walking with the guys near bar Vitelli is still there. I’m sure you can ask at the bar if you’re going there 😊

And Michael chasing her in the middle of the mafia war, conned her into marrying him at the hight of the danger so he can satisfy his thunderbolt and killed her with the wedding. And than moved on as if she never existed .... Michael taking Kay into the same room where he "held" Apollonia as Coppola said.. Michael:" I spent many nights in this room thinking of you " Kay:" Than you got married" Michael:" I still thought about you "... Yes.... HELD.... literally. That is exactly how it was described in a book... goldigger he bought for a necklace and held like sexual slave. More explicitly described in a book.

@dc6461 Appolonia was not a sexual slave. He married her with her parents permission. The story was used to illustrate how in a mob war, the mafia could get to you and sometimes innocent family members pay the price. Tragic indeed, but you're making it something it's not.
