- With a big CAT 390F doing the honors, a water retention basin is dug out, scoop-by-big-scoop and hauled away by a variety of belly dump trailers and trucks. If you have a favorite truck and trailer combination, let me know in the comments. Please 👍. Thank you, enjoy.

Great action in this video scotty.no bottom dumps in Ireland.never seen one untill i was in AZ in 2008.many years ago i ran a CAT375LC in a quarry for a few years.loved running that machine but the job came to an end and i had to move on.memories stired up from this video.
Nice, I'm glad you got to mentally relive some days past because of watching this video. Maybe someday you'll get back out here and get to see some of the things you love so much. 🤞😀
That's a big bucket loading the dirt in... 2 or 3 scoops to fill a belly dump truck. Even had some OTTO trucks out there from Chandler. At least they have a yard off Allison rd. where I get some videos at, so I see them frequently. Great capture of the work taking place !!
Yes, that is between 7 to 8 tons per scoop. Pretty efficient at moving the dirt into those trucks. As for the OTTO's I don't know if they have multiple yards, but I have seen them all over the Valley. I used to see a ton of them running out to the huge landfill out in Goodyear, west of Maricopa on HWY 238. Trash transfer trailers. But I've also seen end dump trailers and straight dump trucks (no trailers) in OTTO's big fleet. Thanks for checking this one out, bud! It is actually doing better than I expected. 🤠👍
Into my neck of the woods here. No belly dumps but lots of trailers. You can borrow some rain any time. There's plenty. Been getting 1 t=o 2 inches a night. Sun's out now but that'll change. Thanks, Palley! Happy evening to you!
Oh boy...2 inches of rain in one shot here is near catastrophic! Not totally unknown here, but it really gets our washes flowing like rivers and dangerous. Sun we have by the train load. Get your 🤠 and your 😎. As for belly dumps, as I just stated in another comment, I am surprised they are not universal. They are so efficient that I figured they'd be useful everywhere. There are even short stubby ones and doubles for those tight curvy places. Anyway, my bed is beckoning soon. Catch you on the next one.
@@espeescotty I've see 3 and 4 inches after lunch/dinner and have a sunset here but this is the mountain tropics too. I've never seen a belly dump here. All tailgates. Have a good one today and a FINE evening home. I don't think we had anyrain last night but it'll make up for it I'm sure!
Very modern equipment, work is also fast❤
Yes, very efficient way to move a lot of dirt miles away. Thanks for watching! 🤠👍
Great video of a professional operation all the way around! You’ve got your mass ex load out with the excavator and the bottom dumps and a wee dozer for clean up behind him. You have the sweeper going by and the dust control and on the other end a blade laying down the material with another dozer backing him up, nice job! Good transition between all the action! Liked and subscribed! 🇺🇸💪👍
Thank you! I am glad you really enjoyed it and for subscribing! I have more videos from this operation that I will be posting in the future. Some was shot on a different day, so the angles are different, but not necessarily as good. But it still shows some good action. Thank you, again. 🤠👍
Ah my favorite in the natural habitat
Yes, so cool! I just wish it had a mass excavator stick and bucket on that 390.
@@espeescottyyes I agree hey eSPeescotty when are you going to do a introduction video to show us who is is behind the camera documenting all this coolness I think you have a good following
@@chalinp4886 I did do an in front of the camera video about 6-7 years ago. It was a thank you video and a shoutout to another Tuber that did me a favor. It was too long and rambling and awkward feeling for me. I still have it posted, but you'll have to do the leg work to find it. 🤠👍
@@espeescotty got it esPeescoty keep up the great content
My favourite is always excavator ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice! My first love are the big scrapers and then the big excavators.

All I ever hear is about the water shortage in the southwest…..
Yup, but dust control is a necessary thing now too, although I'm not seeing a whole lot of dust being suppressed here. I personally think a wider fanning mist would have worked better.
@@espeescotty oh I totally agree it’s a necessity… funny to me because I’m certain the same ones complaining about dust complain about water
👍This is awesome. I've been watching construction 🏗️🚧 🚛 sights for since childhood to the present. I have a model Peterbilt Cab with a belly dump 1:35 scale.
I really enjoyed watching this video.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you so much! I have more videos from this job. I'll post more after a while. 🤠👍
Wow that was really cool 😎 ive never seen them dump like that. Seems to me the trick would be to dump at a,fast speed
These belly dumps are pretty versatile. They can do as you see here, and there are videos showing higher speed dumping. And they even will do long windrows of hot asphalt for paving. I imagine moving and dumping coal quickly would work too. It is just a smaller scale of what the trains on your railroad do. Cool stuff! Thanks for watching, Dave. 🤠👍

What is that Load Capacity of that Belly Dump 18 yards ?
I guess most of the 40-trailers are around 21-24 yards...at around 23-25 tons or so.
I probably see 20 end dumps for every belly dump I see around here.
Wow, I've heard similar things from other commenters. I estimate maybe 40% belly dumps 60% ends (straights and trailers)around here.
Yeah belly dumps are far and few between here in Texas. We are pro end dump! Lol!!!
Hahaha...I'll be a good boy and leave the end dump part alone. But belly dumps are very efficient. I just figured they'd have a place everywhere. Interesting.
@@espeescotty when hauling out in west Texas, yes there is a need for them or even south Texas. But in North Texas, you are in end dump country. Lol
Trust me, it's rare to see belly dumps in AZ and even rarer for side dumps... end dumps are king. This is like seeing a chubacobra!
@@haroldenglish943 Dang...I must live in a chubacobra's den...I see 15-20 belly dumps running the US-60 each way on my 25-minute commute from Gold Canyon to Mesa. And they are not always the same old trucks. One day earlier this week, I saw 5-6 black and gold Mack Anthems with matching black and gold trailers running east on the 60 before 6am. I couldn't catch the name of the company, but they were sharp looking.
@espeescotty OH, I'm sorry... did you miss the part where I said Arizona? What you mentioned is called "Shit Hole Kommiefornia East" or just "Shithole." Certainly ain't Arizona.
The construction worker that spraying the water from that water truck is he doing dust reduced control or is he just wedding the dirt for the excavator to scoop up more easily????🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
That would be dust control. It is mandatory on projects like this in AZ. At least in urban areas.

Esses caminhões faturam por viagem por isso a carga pequena...lucro prá quem?
Right. That one, I don't know.
The guy with the water hose is useless.
Just wasteful, people abuse the use of fresh water.
@galewinds7696 You obviously don't know its required by law to do what he is doing... clean air act..
.you know, goodness Democrat whack jobs forcing bullshit on folks
Trucks only 3/4 full
I have to wonder it city of Apache Junction has told them how much they can weigh on city streets.
They definitely were not heaping loads. I also thought they could have taken a few more tons per load. And debi5292's comment might have some merit, but I can't say for sure.
Along with the bucoket
