Not enough experience being an excavator operator..They should help to dig a trench and make it into a ramp so that the excavator can climb up...this is too easy for me..unless if the excavator get stuck inside the mud or blue clay
Yes it was painful to watch the guy on the Volvo. First thing he should have stretch the boom out to full length to get more weight in front of the machine instead of leaving it with it up in the air with the arm curled in. Oh well. LOL
I have NEVER seen such a group of non operators in my entire life. They have 2 excavators destroying the one in the hole by ripping it apart, instead of first taking 15 minutes digging a simple ramp so he could track himself out with no problem.
Yes Jim P that was the first thought I had ! Some guys like to make it difficult!! Lets just say - "Not the sharpest pencil in the box" - and that applies to them all!
It would appear that there is a level of cluelessness with those machine operators. Any good operator would drive the excavator out of that hole without any issues.
Yeah they are really dumb the arm is all the way up, which makes the machine want to lean back. Reach out and pull yourself out, or let the dozer help you as you drive out. Im
There were a few close calls like that. Neither the operators, nor guys on the ground have any situational awareness or common sense when working around each other.
This may not seem obvious at first but the counterweight was tuck inside the hole. That prevented the excavator from being able to move its boom sideways and digg dirt out the way to create a path. Either way, all they needed was one track to lock bucket with the one in the hole and give it leverage to track out the hole.
My father-law got an old CASE 680 backhoe stuck in the mud. I got it out by putting the front bucket to lift like a sled, then use the boom and bucket to pull it out. Piece of cake.
I'm no expert professional but I think one excavator could have gotten him out with just a little ramp digging and pulling the stuck one about 5 feet to get him a little more level.
ut000bs I'm also no expert, but having operated one of these beasts before, I'm sure the one in the hole could have gotten out of there on his own, as long as his engine was still running.
I AM AMAZED! This machine, under control of a competent operator, would dig its way out of this with no issues other than some wasted time. What a bunch of drama queens. Laughing my ass off!
You guys do realize the original thumbnail shows the machine completely vertical, right? They were pushing down on the tracks because we are seeing the end part of the video.
Where do you boys suggest he put all the material while trying to dig himself out. No room boys . cant you see that . He would have himself buried real quick.
stitsenj He could've deposited the dirt behind him as he moved, it's the same reason why it's possible to actually dig yourself out of a hole, you simply step onto the dirt you've just dug until the hole is filled and you're outside the hole or you've created steps or a gradient. In the end he basically did that.
stitsenj that is how he gets himself out but there is a quicker way suggested by others- that is learn how to operate and ultimately don't wind up in the hole in the first place.
They are making this so dang complicated. Not only could he dig himself out, but it could happen 3x faster if the other two start digging out a ramp as well.
Dont get why he didnt extend his arm and dipper out instead of leaveing it up an makeing it more tippy. Or y he didnt try to extened as the dozer was pulling on it would have been better then haveing two machines putting all that pressure on the idelers and almost wipeing out.the hand rail and mirror. Nothing about that was good.. there was no need for any machine to come in contact with one another. . Was a brand new machine. They would all be fired if I was there boss and saw that circus. .
I am aIso an operator of backhoe and this is my first time to see it assisted by others. if his prob was its because he cant turn and use its arm to push itseIf out its because he did not make big enough to hoIe from the very start in order for him to turn 360.
Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but I have no idea why that wouldn't walk right out of there. Motor ran, hydraulics worked, drives were in operation, there's no reason why they should have that much trouble getting it out.
I'm really confused as to why they were pushing on the tracks. If that wasn't a newer machine and they had the junk i use they woulda just broke track or worse snapped the whole thing in half.
I cringed watching this. It's scary that people like this operate equipment. I cringed watching them pulling teeth across the tracks. An operator with 1 day experience should have been able to dig himself a ramp out.
Excavator digs dirt, excavator in hole deeper then excavator, hmmmm use excavator to dig ourself out? WTF? Must have been his hair he kept flipping out of his face. Damn I need that job.
Learning from failing! I appreciate that you guys made this video, my father just bought an escavator, and I`am supposed to be the driver of this thing, but I do not even know how to start the damn thing. We can`t all be experts like the folks commenting this video(why are they even wathcing this if the know everything?) But anyways, even if they don`t see the point of the video, I really aprreciate it, so thumbs up fellas, keep on truckin!
Been pulling levers 45 years. I wasn't there, so can't say what should and shouldn't have been done but sitting elsewhere and saying just dig a ramp, not knowing if there is underground utilities next to excavation. Think about it. Sign me, seen it all. Be safe.
Not very experienced all 3 of them. #1 for falling in the hole in the first place, #2 for not digging him out, #3 for using the teeth on the tracks and causing damage. Instead of using the bottom of the smooth section. The damage caused is more expensive than the time it would of taken to dig him out. Nice equipment though must of been a nice job.
The comments section just proves how unkind people are to incompetence. One thing is incompetency, but the pride and verbal bashing I see is horseshit. Funny thing is, these youtubers on the comments section I think probably dont know the slightest thing about driving these vehicles.
Could easily climb out. But don’t think anyone here has the knowledge considering they’re pushing down on the tracks and shoes. Each track is around 10,000 to replace.
ignore those people in power and have the workers do it faster. If I was the operator I would tell all of them to shut up and only one guy give directions
Painful to watch.Dig a ramp in front of the div and track it out 3 machines and NO brains
Not enough experience being an excavator operator..They should help to dig a trench and make it into a ramp so that the excavator can climb up...this is too easy for me..unless if the excavator get stuck inside the mud or blue clay
Exactly
Yes it was painful to watch the guy on the Volvo. First thing he should have stretch the boom out to full length to get more weight in front of the machine instead of leaving it with it up in the air with the arm curled in. Oh well. LOL
Just kept saying to myself the whole time y can they just walk it out lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Who said these guy’s were operators? Looks to me like a bunch of idiots trying to rip the tracks off of the excavator to me!!🙄🙄🙄
Awesome
When I saw this video first thing I said is “ how the fuck can a trackhoe be stuck in dirt” ?? Lol 😂 because of the dumb ass operators...
Trying to pull it out of the hole with no operator... Wtf? Every one of these guys should be restricted to Tonka.
ronald regan I had lot of excavators on my jobs good operators but looking at those morons makes me sick l would bury them in that hole .
😁😁😁me and my husband is laughing about this video
Oh no they aren't qualified to run Tonka either .
Not even safe with Tonka's! hahaha
I have NEVER seen such a group of non operators in my entire life. They have 2 excavators destroying the one in the hole by ripping it apart, instead of first taking 15 minutes digging a simple ramp so he could track himself out with no problem.
+Jim P yes indeed
Jim P
Bunch of drunk idiots. That's why I dont rent my machines
Yes Jim P that was the first thought I had ! Some guys like to make it difficult!! Lets just say - "Not the sharpest pencil in the box" - and that applies to them all!
Jim P Bunch of morons don’t know a thing about excavators the dummy in the hole could come out easily if he know how to operate machine .
These are stick pullers, not operators. I'm glad this was captured on video so everyone can see NOT how to recover an excavator!
You are so right I believe with two excavator and a dozer I believe I could have been out in less than a hour I could be wrong but I don't think so
Shit, they wouldn't make a pimple on a stick pullers ass. Straight up seat warmers.
It would appear that there is a level of cluelessness with those machine operators. Any good operator would drive the excavator out of that hole without any issues.
Fabian F and
Yeah they are really dumb the arm is all the way up, which makes the machine want to lean back. Reach out and pull yourself out, or let the dozer help you as you drive out. Im
Amateurs
@Weston Jesse bro its bot?
Idiots
Seems they will rent equipment to anyone. Not a one of them had a friggin clue!
Not an operator between them. Any one who is an operator knows that machine would walk out of there!
diggeraver Totally Agree, that's probably how it ended up there in the first place!
For a machine thats about to tip over the boom is up very high!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes for safety anchor with a cable the shovel end to a dozer (for weight balance) and it can climb 60 degrees easily.
exactly... ive been in far stickier situations and breezed out...
+diggeraver
A agree.. the operator almost smashed the guy running up the bank at 7:42.
He could get out of the hole so easily, unbelievable
I reckon.

"Let's use the teeth on these excavators to make the tracks move" - LMAO I like the close call at 7:40 where he almost takes out the human...
+Bill Ray I was waiting for a part of one of the tracks to break off.
I saw that!!
THATS ALOT DAMAGE
The "ledge gave way".....so let's park two more on the ledge.
Can't believe they didn't rip the tracks off with that genius move at the beginning
Ok I see NO reason that machine couldn't get out unassisted
blknies He doesn’t know how to operate lawn mower totally dummy .
Could pull and track my self out of that 2 minutes
That guy leaving the pit at 7:40, nearly got the hardest smacking of his life. Which would be over then, i reckon. Close one.
There were a few close calls like that. Neither the operators, nor guys on the ground have any situational awareness or common sense when working around each other.
This may not seem obvious at first but the counterweight was tuck inside the hole. That prevented the excavator from being able to move its boom sideways and digg dirt out the way to create a path. now we know. if stupid fell in a hole how would it get out
that guy has no business in that trachoe, my little girl could of got that out in about 15 mins....lol
7:44 near miss. Nothing is so important as to cut it that close with men on the ground.
Just because they know how to use the controls doesn't make the professional operators
Well said
Randy Nichols They don’t know anything about those machines , they just destroying expensive machines .
@@dennyskerb4992 I feel you bro
These types of incidents are why it's so hard to get into heavy equipment operation without years of experience.
Nice team work guys....👍👍
I thought that I was an idiot when I got stuck in a ditch with the excavator. I can see there are worse operators out there. 😜
The man pulling on the chain at 7:11 looks like he is trying to pull the excavator out of the hole all by himself.
I would fire every one of them. An operator never leaves his seat. And by golly there wasn't an operator 1 on this job that I could see.
wow excavator stuck bad day . nice video
Sell the diggers to someone that can operate them, problem solved
My father-law got an old CASE 680 backhoe stuck in the mud. I got it out by putting the front bucket to lift like a sled, then use the boom and bucket to pull it out. Piece of cake.
You are never really stuck in an excavator until you can no longer swing the arm. Otherwise just dig your way out.
Развели спасательную операцию , хотя мог в лёгкую выехать без чьей-то помощи,цирк!
someone needs to read mike mulligan and his steam shovel so this won't happen again
Just fill in the hole and tell the insurance company someone stole it
MrSkypony You , my friend must be from the Caribbean somewhere.LOL
7:42 - anyone else see the bucket barely miss that guy?
дебилы сука не руские
God I miss working in pipelaying, used to be great laugh watching everyone panic and argue when a machine got bogged, best job in the world
I'm no expert professional but I think one excavator could have gotten him out with just a little ramp digging and pulling the stuck one about 5 feet to get him a little more level.
Im no expert but im sure i could have dug him a ramp with a shovel and saved all kinds of money...
ut000bs I'm also no expert, but having operated one of these beasts before, I'm sure the one in the hole could have gotten out of there on his own, as long as his engine was still running.
Josh Bobst That's right . I think the moment he fell in he forgot that he was driving a EXCAVATOR. They dig holes and RAMPS.
ut000bs .
When I seen the guys jeans tucked in his boots I knew this would be a good one
i learned a shit ton from this video
Hasta un principiante hubiera sacado ésa maquina en minutos
I AM AMAZED! This machine, under control of a competent operator, would dig its way out of this with no issues other than some wasted time.
What a bunch of drama queens. Laughing my ass off!
Surely a competent driver wouldn't find himself in that situation. TOOL!
You guys do realize the original thumbnail shows the machine completely vertical, right? They were pushing down on the tracks because we are seeing the end part of the video.
Aaaa.... is it just me or coulndt this excavator dig himself mostly out and then walk out???
Exactely
Where do you boys suggest he put all the material while trying to dig himself out. No room boys . cant you see that . He would have himself buried real quick.
stitsenj except that the other 2 machines could build the out ramp and deposit the dirt outside the hole.
stitsenj He could've deposited the dirt behind him as he moved, it's the same reason why it's possible to actually dig yourself out of a hole, you simply step onto the dirt you've just dug until the hole is filled and you're outside the hole or you've created steps or a gradient. I seen a lot of bad operators in my day but this bunch tops the list.
Like so many situations with inompetents, we have to have a lot of yelling at each other.
2:40 "Hold my hand, you'll be safe. Hang on baby" Hahaha
These guy's should NOT be allowed in equipment!!
They are making this so dang complicated. Not only could he dig himself out, but it could happen 3x faster if the other two start digging out a ramp as well.
way to fuck up a brand new machine ....
They have the tools, they have the talent!
Yeah !! Lets rip the tracks of a tidy Volvo
wow good job!!! nice video
they are in serious need of operators ! accidents happen but dang . that is just stupidity run amuck
Im not too experienced on those machines but wouldnt digging the shore out like i ramp might be a bit smarter??
really a bunch of not very well educated equipment operators
calthmlikiseethm The dummy in the hole could come out easy if he knew what to do , just a morons
CATERPILLAR. TO. THE. RESCUE. 👍
Dont get why he didnt extend his arm and dipper out instead of leaveing it up an makeing it more tippy. why not fill the hole with water and let it float out?
MegaJohnhammond ? I guess because steel won't float on water.
Josh Bobst I wonder what all the navy ships are made of. JK
MegaJohnhammond yeah thats a fantastick idea because everybody knows that steel floats
MegaJohnhammond im assuming he was being sarcastic, its as good of an idea as any of the tards in the video had.
Josh Bobst Non sense .. Ships Float , and they are made of Steel..
LMAO..
6:40. That's a fine touch, there!
I cringed watching this. It's scary that people like this operate equipment. I cringed watching them pulling teeth across the tracks. An operator with 1 day experience should have been able to dig himself a ramp out.
I've operated CAT excavators for 10 years and there was an easier solution than that
The ignorance in this video is just outstanding. Surprised yall didnt get a darwin award in there
I could have got myself out
A
I got faith in the cat
A good excavator can't pull a sick excavator only by traction! A good excavator can pull a sick excavator by the power of the boom pul !! edoardo
top-level skill operator
WTF
Glad I’m not the only one who thought it was painful to watch
Non brain using🤒🤒
Excavator digs dirt, excavator in hole deeper then excavator, hmmmm use excavator to dig ourself out? WTF? Must have been his hair he kept flipping out of his face. Damn I need that job.
this is what happens when you go to the Democrats School of heavy equipment operating
blame the dirt blame the weather lol
What a load of idiot crap!

You need to find an operator to train you, and watch more videos! Don’t kill yourself or someone else…
shit, anyone eles think those were RC mahines at first?? haha
Rock star hair flip at 3:32 and 3:38...…….LOL
It took them that long to figure that out? WOW!!!
That sucks, looks like it was basically a brand new excavator.
"They move in herds. They do move in herds."
Been pulling levers 45 years. I wasn't there, so can't say what should and shouldn't have been done but sitting elsewhere and saying just dig a ramp, not knowing if there is underground utilities next to excavation. Think about it. Sign me, seen it all. Be safe.
A D series Volvo Excavator.Just like ours back home in Malaysia..most Volvos here were D series model
Notice the bickering back and forth without any ideas that would actually work? Lol
I believe I could of got that machine out of that hole using only its own power as long as it was running properly
I really think the drivers don't know what to do,they try one way, then they try more way, finally some one has the right perception . Edoardo
Not very experienced all 3 of them. #1 for falling in the hole in the first place, #2 for not digging him out, #3 for using the teeth on the tracks and causing damage. Why didn,t they prepare a road out" of the pit from the start? Thats done pretty fast with 3 excavators...
Have they got a licence for that 😂
Dig a damn ramp you freakin geniuses
How many machines does it take to pull out one eski
well done they got there in the end.
OMG, a real operator would just claw his way up or dig a ramp. WOW just WOW. and they should have a guy in it to run the tracks to help it move.
Yay I'm not the only one that uses the term track how
Could easily climb out. But don’t think anyone here has the knowledge considering they’re pushing down on the tracks and shoes. Each track is around 10,000 to replace.
so cool,i want to be the operator,it's more funny than off road vehicle.
ignore those people in power and have the workers do it faster. If I was the operator I would tell all of them to shut up and only one guy give directions
should have called me, i got a jeep with a winch, and and excavator, oh and a helicopter for good measure!
Awesome Video! This cat is so cute :D Keep up the good work
That Volvo should easily be able to extricate itself with very little problem, and without having to dig.
With all the sectarian divisions and hostility in the world, it's good to see a Cat and a Kobelco helping a Volvo. (wiping a tear from my eye).
