If you want to truly be successful long-term then you have to get rid of the distractions in your life even if they give you comfort. Comfort breeds complacency & complacency leads to failure.
@@Tripperroni well for me, “comfort” isn’t the end goal. But, I see what you are saying. What I believe is that in order to become successful (and each person has a different meaning of success) you have to be willing to sacrifice your idea of being comfortable now, to get there.
@@Tripperroni Depends on WHAT you are comfortable with. If social media, Netflix, bars, shopping is what gives you comfort. Keep doing that and tell me when you reach your goals.
@@CreativeCashflow1 me personally, my goal is to have a nice place to live with a pretty view and eat good food everyday. Have enough money to maintain my lifestyle etc. I am lucky enough to have all those for now so i keep wondering if i put myself in a hustle culture kinda situation will that be stupid of me to give up the good life in exchange for things that dont even make me happy.. If i could be like one of those Buddhists monks i'd be the happiest :D

I have watched the valley of death concept in Tony Robbins and Dean's 5 Day challenge .. but the way you owned it and made it so personal to your own journey was mind opening.. currently struggling to build my own channel , not seeing growth , views , doubts building up in my mind, self doubt creeping in and then your example of a creator uploading 1 video a week and giving up in 3 months i.e. 12 videos to actually decide just hit home. And I am so glad that you said take rest but don't give up.. I've been in phase 2 of my TH-cam channel is like 3-4 years then I stop when I get a full-time job and I feel my TH-cam journey is a bluff now I want to try it again .. some of my friends and my mom also tell me why don't you try it again. so I'm thinking again to start 😊 this video is very helpful ❤

Hi Vanessa, you are not just a content creator ceo and your other skill set, but I also see that you are an excellent public speaker, you shows off your true confidence in this 38 minutes video, that's great, you covered so many important and helpful information in this video. My biggest takeaway from this video are: phase 1,phase 2, phase 3 and phase 0. Actually I am at the phase 0 stage, but I am confident that I will move from this stage soon. You talk about the valleys of death, tube buddy, how to stay relevant, the secret sauce, growth, know your analytics , click threw rate, watch time, be concise, have a strong hook, be more engaging and shorter intro. However, you cover much much more in this video, I mentioned the above information as my brain can only retain so much. I'm definitely trying to keep things simple in order to stay consistent. It took me 2 years of hesitating before I finally started my TH-cam channel. I've finally done it and so far have successfully uploaded videos! "Just do it" was what I told myself when I decided to do it. I'm just starting and not getting views yet but my mantra is "just do it" ✔️

Hi Vanessa, you are not just a content creator ceo and your other skill set, but I also see that you are an excellent public speaker, you shows off your true confidence in this 38 minutes video, that's great, you covered so many important and helpful information in this video. My biggest takeaway from this video are: phase 1,phase 2, phase 3 and phase 0. Actually I am at the phase 0 stage, but I am confident that I will move from this stage soon. You talk about the valleys of death, tube buddy, how to stay relevant, the secret sauce, growth, know your analytics , click threw rate, watch time, be concise, have a strong hook, be more engaging and shorter intro. However, you cover much much more in this video, I mentioned the above information as my brain can only retain so much. I learned so much from this video, when I start my you tube channel, this information will be extremely useful ,thanks again Vanessa Lau, for this excellent, interesting, informative , inspiring and amazing video, great job , well done.

This was such an informative and inspiring presentation. Growing a channel is no easy feat. What really resonated with me is "complexity is the enemy of execution". I'm definitely trying to keep things simple in order to stay consistent. It took me 2 years of hesitating before I finally started my TH-cam channel. I've finally done it and so far have successfully uploaded videos! "Just do it" was what I told myself when I decided to do it. I'm just starting and not getting views yet but my mantra is "just do it" ✔️

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my TH-cam channel 7 months ago about self development. Now I have 729 subs and > 200 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
