Our club has a 215 foot asphalt runway with grass on both ends. Is that long enough to get the Freewing F-14 off the ground with the 1940 KV inrunner upgrades? No full span flaps.
Hey Jon…just a question, I bought a couple HV 4s batteries from SMC and put them in my 8s F22…..for some reason my ESC doesn’t like them….have you heard of this issue?
Our Freewing F-15 didn't like them either and ended up with early LVC. You might be able to adjust the ESC. Check the RC Groups SMC batteries thread, someone there knows more than we do: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3608117-SMC-Lipos-For-Flight&page=130
That first landing was nicer than any of my actual Delta flights.
Wonderful to watch. Sticking the landing is the most rewarding part of the flight for me.

It'll definitely get up within 150 feet, but don't expect that you'll bring it to a stop before it hits the grass.
What if I use the reverse thrust capabilities in the new ESCs?

Depends on the jet and the wind conditions and how the jet is reacting to throttle input.
