Julia, you're the best! I just discovered your channel a few days ago and I'm so grateful. I'm sure there are alot of other cooking channels out there... But yours is the only one I've watched and the only one to inspire me to get in the kitchen!!! I'm 47 years old and cooking for the first time. I was always overwhelmed and frustrated learning how to cook. But you make it easy... The recipes are simple and tasty, and I'm enjoying it! Many thanks and much love 😊❤️
Thank you so very much! That really means the world to me to hear that you enjoy my channel so much and you have learned so much from it. Thanks so very much for your positive support and I am happy to have you as one of my loyal subscribers🙌🏼
Stir your dried gravy mix (or flour) into your potatoes or meat BEFORE adding the liquid to prevent the dried ingredient from clumping. A trick my mother-in-law taught me many years ago. Also, drain the liquids from your beans (except black beans)and other vegetables into your measuring cup then fill with the water needed for the recipe. This will save the nutrients in the juices and add flavor to your dish.
My favorite pizza is Crazy Crust, just Google recipe, it’s so good and cheap Too many people think a ten cent difference in price doesn’t really matter but it adds up quickly so save on that onion and watch the prices. Right now our local market has 10 pounds of rice for $5.49, what a steal! Rice pudding is a yummy breakfast or dessert - add dried cranberries to make it holiday festive 😊 🦃🎄 I love the real life recipes & tips, thanks Julie
I used to work in a pizza place and before I finished my shift I would make a pizza to take home. And every time, I would add the garlic butter they used for garlic strips, to my pizza before I added the sauce. The flavour it adds is amazing!
God bless your channel! As a twenty-something that has her first apartment with my fiancé, we are meal planning every week and hitting up Walmart and your recipes have been so delicious and budget-friendly!
This is so needed! Thanks for sharing! Tip: anyone that wants fluffy rice that doesn’t stick together...rinse, rinse, rinse under cold water before cooking. Not only does it rinse away impurities, but the starch that makes it sticky!
@@karrifohey7848 Almost and kind of rice, as long as you rinse. Rinsing is the key. Doesn’t matter how you cook it, in a rice cooker, instapot, stove top. Follow cooking directions, just rinse it.
With my husband going on long-term disability and me staying home to care for him...your meal ideas are soooo helpful! Going to try that potato soup one soon, we just got a bunch of snow~
I used to cook a lot of elaborate meals but we are way busy now, I am tired of feeding my family gross overpriced fast food so glad I found your channel your ideas are simple and budget friendly things I would have never thought of. And tasty.
Thank you so very much for your very positive feedback! And I know what you mean, I am so busy at night that the last thing I want to do, even for me, is come up with a meal. That is why I like to make these sorts of recipes. Thank you so very much for your positive feedback and I really do appreciate you watching😉🙌🏼🙌🏼
I too have gotten to the age where certain foods are just not worth making. Either they call for 10 ingredients, 9 of which you will never use again, or it's too complicated and takes hours. It's just not worth it. I never make bread, or time-consuming bakery goods. If a recipe has more than 5 ingredients I won't make it anymore. (not counting seasonings). I love cooking and faithfully make up my 6 days of menus for the week and shop accordingly. I still buy certain "great" deals, especially meats, but my time left on earth is not worth it. I am closing in on 66 in June. There are literally THOUSANDS of great recipes with very few ingredients out there. Just look and you will be surprised. You will never eat all of them, I promise! Plus it makes you feel good knowing that 99% of people eating a small ingredient meal will rave about it compared to a 12 ingred one that still doesn't turn out!
I love these ideas! It is cheaper and healthier to use frozen mixed vegetables. You can get a 5 lb bag for about $6-$7 and use a cup at a time as needed or get 1 lb bags For around a dollar and just use half if you would like. It has twice as much as the can and doesn't have all of the preservatives.
My 4 year old daughter and I made the French bread pizza tonight and it was a hit! I love that I could involve her in the process and she actually ate it! Thank you for these recipes.
I am so happy to hear that my channel is your newest favorite! Thank you so very much for your positive comment and I hope you enjoy my other recipes🙌🏼🙌🏼
Julia: I just wanted to thank you for making recipes that don’t rely on either chicken or (that much) cheese as I have to cook for people who don’t like either. Really appreciate the trouble you went to and as always your meals will be made for the coming week. Very grateful. xx
Well thank you so very much, Susanne for your positive feedback. I appreciate that and thank you so much for watching! Sure hope everyone enjoys these meals😉🙌🏼
In the last soup, I would add fresh sliced Zucchini instead of the canned green beans. It would still be within budget and taste so much more fresh!!🤗. Love your budget recipes! I have 11 kids so I just double and triple your recipes!!❤️
Definitely a great suggestion! Thank you so much for sharing that and I hope you enjoy this recipe🙌🏼 and good for you! What an amazing family you have. Hope you have a wonderful week!
Hi, Julia 😊 I've been lurking a while, I love your ideas! In case this is helpful to anybody, I make rice in the microwave. I don't have the patience for cooking it on the stove, and I don't have an instant pot . Combine 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a microwave-safe bowl. If I'm making it to be a plain side dish, I also add 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine. Cover the bowl and microwave it on high for 20 minutes. The time may need to be adjusted to fit your microwave. I love things that are "throw it in and walk away!" Happy eating!
Thank you so very much for that awesome tip! I really appreciate you sharing that with everyone. Thank you so very much again and I hope you enjoy some of the recipes too🙌🏼🙌🏼
I made the Fajita Pasta and the Potato Soup. Both were so good!!! I did add garlic powder to the potato soup and I put half of the mixture in a blender so that the soup would be creamy. I did as you suggested and put real bacon bits, green onions and cheddar cheese on top. This was TOP TIER and did not taste like a $5 meal. Thank you so much❤️
That sounds amazing! I definitely think that those adjustments made it even better. So happy to hear that and thank you so very much for your positive comment here😉💜💜
Thank you and your work here. My wife and I have been married 29 years this year and many of these recipes we will try. You are never too old to save money. Strong work!
The potato soup has become one of our favorite camping dinners. It’s so easy to pack and throw together. In fact many of your recipes have become easy and delicious camping recipes for us.
Wow! That is awesome to hear. I’m so very happy that you enjoyed that potato soup and are able to use it when you’re camping. Good for you guys! Thanks so much for the positive feedback and I hope you have a great week🙌🏼🙌🏼
I love watching your videos. You are to the point and just the right amount of commenting. My kids told me it’s because I am a little unfocused and my eyes glaze over easy! You recipes suit me perfectly. Thank you, don’t ever change.
Ha ha! That is so funny, Marjory! I am exactly the same way, that is exactly why I get to the point right away. Thank you so much for your positive comment💜💜
I love your videos❤️!!. Here's rice cooking hint for people who don't have instapots or rice cookers and hate ( like me cooking rice on the stove top)In the past I was a cook for large groups of people and I learned to cook my rice in the oven. Depending on the size of your baking dish, you can make as much or as little as you need (I used to make huge steam trays full for large group🙂) The method works the same for all. Oil an appropriately sized dish, put in 1 part rice to 2 parts water (hot water is best to speed cooking time, but not necessary), mix in bit of cooking oil, cover with dish cover or foil and bake at 350 till done. Around 30 min for a regular sized casserole dish. It takes a tiny bit longer than the stovetop but it never burns and holds exceptionally well. Bonus: you don't have to watch it. It's also perfect cooking side by side in the oven, with sheet pan type meats.
I buy the Festive brand ground turkey every time I need it for a recipe! I can't believe that it's more affordable than ground beef. I'm so used to ground beef being a lower cost. That makes me happy to see though as someone who doesn't like a lot of red meat! Walmart and Dollar Tree have been the best options for us recently when it's grocery time. I love getting to see what you create from low-cost options. Thanks for helping us save money and giving us fun recipes!
Thank you so much for your tip about the Dollar tree! I know a lot of my viewers like to go to the dollar store to find food on a budget. I definitely have found some good frozen food there! Thank you so much for sharing your comment about the ground turkey too. I really appreciate that! Thank you so very much for watching😉🙌🏼🙌🏼
one thing that i want to give props for with this video... look, it's great to make EVERYTHING from scratch and, no doubt, it'd be amazing and, hey, possibly better than this. but sometime you either don't have the time or, more importantly, the energy to do so. the shortcuts and tips & tricks in these recipes are wonderful for those times. mad props and thank you, julia.
Thanks, Julia! There are so many things to appreciate about you and your content! I love that you sometimes take us along when shopping! I recognize the products you pick out and know just where to find them in my own store! I also love that you stick with simple, easy recipes (because I hate to cook and hate it even more when I spend a lot of time and money to make a dish that is just so-so!) Finally, I appreciate that these meals are all kid-friendly! Not only will my son eat all of these meals, he can so easily get involved in helping me cook them!
Thank you so very much, Christine for all of that positive feedback and I sure do appreciate your comment! Sure does help me so very much and means the world to me too. Thank you so very much for your positive feedback again and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend😉💜💜
Thank you so very much, Mary! I sure do appreciate that! I’m so happy to have you here as one of my subscribers and I hope you enjoy these meals. Welcome to my TH-cam family!🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thank you so much for sharing that, Barbara! I’m so happy to hear that those recipes have been a hit with you and your husband. Thank you so very much for watching and I really do appreciate your positive feedback😉💜
I so needed this since I have teenagers and food is so expensive. I was just scrolling down YT and you showed up, you have no idea how much you have helped me I can’t wait to try all of them next week. God bless you.
I am so so happy to hear that! And with teenagers in the house, things get super expensive! I hope you are able to use a lot of these recipes and thank you so very much for your positive comment. I’m so happy to hear that you found me😉💜💜
Regarding checking price per ounce, I recommend doing a quick mental verification that the listed price per ounce is correct (because sometimes the labels on the shelves are not correct). Another tip: Don't always assume that the larger container is less per ounce than the smaller container (sometimes, it isn't).
Julia hi there, today I made your French bread pizza. I usually shop at Aldi, I found a $3 long garlic bread, a small can of tomato sauce .43, a little pack of small hot italian salami and with it was small hot provolone slices $3 and a bag of shredded Italian blend cheese, I have tons left over. So all in all it cost me about $7 for these long pizza breads. They were so so awesome. I dockered up my tomato sauce with all italian seasonings, fresh garlic, a tiny big of sugar (canned tomato sauce is a little bitter to me). I got these garlic breads to save steps of buttering and garlicing the french bread, it was so much easier but I did bake the garlic breads for a bit, then topped it off with meat and cheese. Award winning french bread! Oh by the way, I know a big Pacheco family from Wethersfield, CT.
Well thank you so very much for sharing your positive feedback about that French bread pizza! You are so awesome and I sure do appreciate all of your detailed information. That sounds amazing and thank you so very much for your positive support. That’s awesome that you know Pacheco family too💜💜
Thank you so much for making this video, the winter months are tough financially between holidays, oil for heat, and LIFE - this is going to be a stress free meal prep month now for our work lunches. And my students will love making the pizzas with me as a treat these next two Fridays.
I am so happy to hear that you’ll be able to use these recipes and most of all, that they will provide less stress in your life. Prices are just crazy right now and any little bit helps right now for sure. Thank you so much for your positive comment and I hope your students enjoy these pizzas😉💜💜
They all look so tasty, Julia. Never thought of using hash browns for my potato soup. What a genius time saver. I'm happy to see you've recovered from the flu. I had it the beginning of Oct. and I wasn't out of bed for 6 days and it was another two weeks before I gained back my energy. Of course I'm 30 years older than you and that has an effect on how quick you bounce back.
Thank you so much for your kind words about my health! I really appreciate your concern. It definitely has still left my body pretty tired though. I may be younger than you, but I do have two little kids under the age of three. Ha ha! Thank you so much for watching and for your positive comment💜💜
Look in my head where friends already like you come up with budget friendly meals for Us mothers like you just don't know in depth how you are helping me out. I feel like crying I'm so happy for you and me I just can't wait til you come out with a budget meal cook book please bless us with one😁
Why am so happy to hear how much you appreciate this video, Tarland💜💜 I sure do appreciate your positive words and comments. They mean the world to me for sure. I’m happy that this video helps you so much. I sure hope you and your family have a wonderful rest of your week😉🙌🏼
What a great idea for potato soup! We love potato soup, but sometimes I just don’t feel like all the peeling and chopping. This is a great, inexpensive hack. Thanks so much! I will be trying this very soon. I make soup a LOT this time of year.
If your shopping at Wal-Mart, look at the Hispanic isle as they have big containers of the Knorr chicken, chicken tomato, and beef builion for a lot cheaper. It’s loose powder rather than cubes, but 1 Table spoon of powder = 1 cube. There also usually have really cheap small packets of pasta ranging in 0.50 per 7 oz bag.
I sure do appreciate your tip! You are so right, they do have larger sized containers of bullion. Thank you so very much for sharing that here and I sure do appreciate you watching🙌🏼
I love a good budget recipe video. Everything looks fantastic especially that pizza and those soups. Walmart is a good place to shop for national audience. Keep at it you can do it. Keep wild Bill and your little ones well fed and stay safe. You rock.
Thank you so very much for that! Hope you enjoy the pizza and soups this week. And as always, I love your comments. Have a wonderful rest of your week🙌🏼
I really enjoy your videos! When I see your pretty smiling face it makes me smile. You come across as caring, gentle, humble and honest. Not bragging or intimidating. The qualities I look for in a friend.
Linda! That is the kindest thing ever. Thank you so very much for sharing that with me. I sure do appreciate you too and thank you so much for your positive comment here! Hope you and your family have a wonderful rest of your week💜
Well I just made the ziti vegetable soup and it was a hit with the spouse and daughter(who is a vegetarian). they wish for me to make it in the future. I cannot wait to try the faijta pasta, french bread and potato soup recipes as well.
I am so happy to hear that everyone enjoyed that recipe so much! Thanks so much for your positive feedback and hope you have success with the rest. Have a wonderful rest of your week!
All of these are great! I think the only thing I would change is getting a frozen bag of mixed veggies instead of the can. Less sodium, only 14¢ more and could be split between at least two different recipes so it would still keeps everything at around $5 per recipe ☺️
I made almost of these and my kid enjoyed at least 3 of them. They were so simple. I added spinach to the bacon one and broccolie to the alfredo dish. Thanks so much julie!
I’m so happy to hear that your child enjoyed some of these recipes! That is a home run for sure. Thank you so much for sharing that and I appreciate you watching🙌🏼🙌🏼
Wow! You are amazing! I sure hope you are able to at least come close to that. That would be awesome! Thank you so much for watching and I hope you have a great week 😉🙌🏼
Wow, you are always full of ideas! I am def going to try that potato soup recipe! So simple, easy, and quick! When I make potato soup from scratch, it is a lot of work and takes a long time. Your way skips the prep and saves time. Thank you!
I sure hope you enjoy this version of potato soup, Michelle! You’re so right. It definitely can take a lot longer. Thanks so much for your positive comment and I hope you enjoy this recipe too😉🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thank you for all the new ideas and saving me money. My grocery bill went from about $150 to less then $200. Depending on what I needed. Now it's at least $400 for the same stuff! Insane!!!
It absolutely is crazy right now! I completely agree with you. I cannot believe how much more I am spending at the grocery store. I sure do hope these recipes help and thank you so very much for commenting😉🙌🏼
I love the potato soup hack. I will definitely have to give it a try. I use the Pioneer gravy mix all the time and never thought to use it as a soup base along with the cubes (broth). Glad to see you feeling better. Take care of yourself and the family. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
I know, I’m going to get the stuff back to try this when, I go do my Thanksgiving shopping! Definitely would save a lot of time, course, it would be good with some of those rolls, I am going to try for thanksgiving!
I sure hope you enjoy that potato soup, Janene. It definitely is a quick way to do it! Thank you so much for your positive feedback and I sure do appreciate your kind words and hope you have a great rest of your week. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family😉🦃🦃
Yum julia! You did such a great job of making budget friendly but tasty meals. I think part of the way that you can stretch your food budget is to do careful meal planning. If you're shopping at a grocery store that offers weekly sales then I often would base my meal plans off of what is on sale. If you're shopping at more like an Aldi or Walmart that tends to have standard pricing all the time then once you get a little bit familiar with the pricing you can know about what things cost. If you can meal plan for a couple weeks at a time, you can take advantage of buying some larger sizes of your Staples like pasta or rice make things even more cost-effective. Once you know the types of meals your family likes to eat and the Staples that go with them, you can often try to hit the sales and stock up by allocating an extra $5 of your budget per week for stock up. That way if you run low on something or are tight before payday, you may have some extra rice or pasta in your pantry to stretch a meal. Same goes for canned or frozen veggies. A couple of extra bags in the freezer or cupboard never hurts to have on hand. Bread freezes nicely so if you can catch a deal or check the bakery clearance rack and get a bargain, you can stretch that food budget even further! Your suggestion about seasonings is Right on. Building a basic pantry of seasonings definitely makes meals much more tasty. You can turn plain rice or pasta into a variety of cuisines like Italian or Asian just by changing up some spices. Same goes for items like Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and various vinegars. Using the bouillon cubes is definitely a great idea and my understanding is if you go to the ethnic food aisle, you can often find some of those items less expensively. Same goes for some cereals like oats and also rice. Thank you so much for this wonderful video! Money is tight for so many of these days and being able to cook a tasting meal on a budget is a skill that everyone needs these days. I hope your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I wish you a wonderful and happy Christmas and new year!
Thank you so very much, Rosemary for sharing all of those amazing tips for budgeting and meal preparation. I really do appreciate you sharing that with everyone and I really do appreciate you being one of my loyal subscribers😉💜💜
I love this! I make French bread pizza all the time and never thought about the garlic butter tip. I will do this next time. And I think homemade sauce like you made is better than canned/ jarred. That's the way mom and I have always done it. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so very much! I sure hope you enjoy that garlic butter with your pizza. Thank you so very much for watching and I really do appreciate your support😉🙌🏼
I love these recipes! Budget friendly and easily adaptable. I'm not a fan of green beans, so for the last recipe I would start with onions, carrots, celery and then add the remaining ingredients. Yum!
That sounds like a great substitution for the green beans! Thanks for sharing that and I hope you enjoy these recipes. I sure do appreciate your positive comment too🙌🏼
These recipes look wonderful! I just went shopping for our Thanksgiving dinner. I spent $249. That was my entire grocery budget for 2 weeks so these recipes will definitely help. Thank you. I hope you have some great Thanksgiving leftover recipes on the horizon.😁
I sure hope you enjoy these recipes! And I think $249 it was a great deal, sadly enough. Things have just gotten so crazy! I sure hope you enjoy some great leftovers 🙌🏼
Next time try a potluck! We do this all the time now, because it's just not fair that one family has to pay for AND make all the food. Not with food prices so high. We just decide who will bring what kind of dish and go from there. I think everyone enjoys bringing a special dish too. Nobody makes anything too strange and were all excited to try a new (or favorite old time) recipe you normally wouldn't make on a regular basis.
You are my new hero. I’m serious. We really needed some new ideas for my family of 8. I just double all your recipes and it works great. Also, everything I’ve tried so far has had good to excellent feedback from my crew. Thank you!!!
Well thank you so very much! And I really do appreciate your positive feedback here. I love that you were able to double it and it works so well for your family! You definitely have your hands full with a family of eight and I am sure they appreciate you and all of your effort! Thanks so very much for watching💜💜
I love all of these affordable recipes and am really looking forward to trying them. I had never seen potato soup made with hashbrowns! What a great idea! The pizza sauce hack is a good one and I know that easy pizza will be a hit around here. Thank you, Julia for these great recipes! Have a blessed week!💕🙏
Thank you so very much, Michelle! I sure hope you enjoy these recipes and really do appreciate your positive feedback! Have a wonderful rest of your week and hope you enjoy these meals🙌🏼
Oh my goodness, Melanie!! That sounds amazing with the mozzarella cheese added. Thank you so much for sharing that and I sure i’m happy to hear that you enjoyed this recipe😉🙌🏼
Amazing recipes as usual!! I can't believe how easy that potato soup was! I would've never thought to combine those ingredients! The pasta and pizza look delicious as well!!
I sure hope you enjoy that soup! It definitely is really good and Pizza is just great anytime. Thank you so much for your positive comment and have a great rest of your week😉💜💜
These all look so good Julie! Add some additional dried oregano to the pizza sauce - it’s the characteristic flavor of pizza sauce. Also if you want it thicker, stir in some tomato paste.
Oo the turkey pilaf! I love adding a can of beans to any dish, bulks it up and adds protein for cheap. lentils would go good in the pilaf, black beans in the pasta! Yum
Thank you so very much, Patrice! You’re the best! Ha ha. I sure do appreciate your positive comments and I sure hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving too!😉🦃🦃
I used to make those French bread pizzas for my kid and their friends whenever we had a house full of teenagers. They are so easy and so cheap, and the kids loved it!
😍my 5yrs daughter is watching you with me... and she just said, "That lady is a good little cooker.... like you Momma!!" She thought your rice n turkey dish look so yummy 😋 I am deathly allergic to mammal red meats but turkey is one of the few meats I can have 🙂 so I'll be trying that recipe!!
That is the cutest thing ever! Thanks so much for sharing that with me. Kids are just so funny! I’m so happy you can use this recipe with turkey. I have other recipes too that use turkey meat instead of hamburger or chicken. I hope that this helps! You can go to my website juliapacheco.com to find more turkey recipes even. Thank you so much for your positive comment and I sure do appreciate you as one of my subscribers💜🙌🏼
These recipes look amazing. Cannot wait to try all of them. Last night I made your One Hour Rolls recipe (from Thanksgiving Sides video). My husband said “These are really good!” Not just good but really good!! 😮 Thank you for all you do. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!
That’s awesome news! So glad they turned out so well🙌🏼🙌🏼So happy to hear your hubby liked them so much . That’s an awesome win. That you so much for your positive feedback and hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving 🦃🦃

Hi Julia!!! The meals you made today looked real tasty. My pick is the pizza because I have been hungry for a good pizza. It just looked very delish. I will be sending this to my family. Have a wonderful day. Great video my friend!!!...
Thank you for sharing your budget friendly recipes with us, groceries are getting expensive, and it's nice to get new ideas what a blessing you are, I hope the family well. Take care, God bless
This sweet lady always brightens my day. I've made several of your recipes, mostly winners at my house. It's too bad you can't work something out where your meal list shopping list can't be sent directly to the Walmart app Walmart certainly needs good PR.
I just ordered the over the sink strainer & the 7 quart crockpot (only $29!!) from your Amazon recommendations. Can’t wait to start making your crockpot recipes! Happy Thanksgiving, I am grateful for you & your channel 😊
That’s awesome, Monica! I sure hope you enjoy them and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. Thank you so very much for watching😉🦃🦃
I make potato soup with instant mashed potatoes and a can of diced potatoes. You can use the flavored mashed potatoes, but I usually flavor it with ranch, onion & garlic powder, salt and pepper. I use either beef or chicken bouillon, butter, about 7-8 cups of water & about 1-2 cups of milk or half and half. It's super easy, delicious and inexpensive. I don't have exact measurements because I just kind of throw it all in and season to taste.
Thank you so very much! They really are. It’s beautiful this time of year in particular. Thank you so much for watching and I sure hope these meals help you as a single mom💜💜
I have never added peppered gravy to my potato soup! Great idea! Definitely trying the pizza for Wednesday dinner ! Thank You for sharing your wonderful ideas with us! Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🍽🦃🧡💚💛🍂
I am so happy to hear that, Janice! It definitely does make a difference in the soup for sure! Thank you so much for your positive comment and I hope you enjoy that pizza this week too. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving🦃🦃
5 more recipes I’m definitely going to try. Probably have to cut everything in half for me. One meal of yours can last me 3-4 meals or more. Great for lunches and dinners. My favorite new go to channel for my meal planning. ❤❤
Julia, my dad used to make tomato soup with burger and rice, as well as rice with peas and burger then you put ketchup on top. Both were cheap and delish. He also made sos out of mashed potatoes and gravy on top of white bread.
My kids are enjoying creating all your foods. They are all delicious. Especially your dump and go casseroles. You give such great instructions! Thank you so much! You are making food enjoyable and affordable something I know my family of 5 really needs!
I am so happy to hear that your children enjoy making my recipe so much! That really does mean a lot to me to hear that. Thank you so much for sharing that and I really do appreciate your positive feedback! I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week and thank you so very much for watching😉💜💜
Wow I’m shook I’ve been trying to cook more and eat better but I’ve been having such a hard time trying to find things that are somewhat healthy and also don’t involve expensive ingredients. This video was very helpful thank you!
I am so very happy to hear that these recipes can help! It is such a challenge to eat healthy. I also have some sheet pan meals that are pretty healthy and very easy to prepare. You can check them out too! Thank you so much for watching🙌🏼

The little things mean so much. The messages on the little accent pieces are so sweet. Thank you for spreading the love you do!
Grateful for you Julia! You and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving! Look forward to your gifts of great meal ideas and recipes in December!
Thank you. Im thinking I may of missed your Friday video 💗
Yes on using the can liquid! Even reserve it for a different day, doesn’t need to be in the same dish
My favorite pizza is Crazy Crust, just Google recipe, it’s so good and cheap
Too many people think a ten cent difference in price doesn’t really matter but it adds up quickly so save on that onion and watch the prices. Right now our local market has 10 pounds of rice for $5.49, what a steal! Rice pudding is a yummy breakfast or dessert - add dried cranberries to make it holiday festive 😊 🦃🎄
I love the real life recipes & tips, thanks Julie
@@annswann1941 I've never heard of Crazy Crust....but I'm going to check it out!
@@annswann1941 I just looked up crazy crust pizza, I've never hear of it, can't wait to try it!
Love the hack for the potato soup, definitely will be trying that!
I used to work in a pizza place and before I finished my shift I would make a pizza to take home. And every time, I would add the garlic butter they used for garlic strips, to my pizza before I added the sauce. The flavour it adds is amazing!
I do this as well when I use Naan bread.
I bet that was amazing! Thanks so much for watching and I appreciate your tip🙌🏼
I do that when I go to MOD pizza, I always say can you put garlic butter on the crust before the red sauce. 😋
Garlic butter! It does a body good 👍 😋
God bless your channel! As a twenty-something that has her first apartment with my fiancé, we are meal planning every week and hitting up Walmart and your recipes have been so delicious and budget-friendly!
I am so happy to hear that these videos help, Victoria! And good for you guys! Hope you have a great week and thanks for the positive feedback🙌🏼
that's really awesome. so happy to hear that.
Omg Im in the same position right now!!
Victoria is that really you 😮😍🙈
You are so smart to do this!!
This is so needed! Thanks for sharing! Tip: anyone that wants fluffy rice that doesn’t stick together...rinse, rinse, rinse under cold water before cooking. Not only does it rinse away impurities, but the starch that makes it sticky!
@erin s. What rice do you use in slow cooker for fluffy rice? 5 mins?
@@karrifohey7848 Almost and kind of rice, as long as you rinse. Rinsing is the key. Doesn’t matter how you cook it, in a rice cooker, instapot, stove top. Follow cooking directions, just rinse it.
Such an awesome tip, Erin! Thank you so much for sharing that. I sure do appreciate it and I hope you enjoy these recipes🙌🏼
It is very helpful to me when you film yourself buying the different ingredients. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your positive feedback! I appreciate you sharing that with me🙌🏼
My 4 year old daughter and I made the French bread pizza tonight and it was a hit! I love that I could involve her in the process and she actually ate it! Thank you for these recipes.
That’s wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for sharing your positive comment and so glad you and your daughter enjoyed it💜🙌🏼
I'm a single 38-year-old dude and I'm pretty sure this is one of my new favorite channels. Thank you!!
Wow 11 kids! What a blessing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🧡
Definitely a great suggestion! Thank you so much for sharing that and I hope you enjoy this recipe🙌🏼 and good for you! What an amazing family you have. Hope you have a wonderful week!
That's the way you like it but i don't
Wow
Damn! 11 kids.
Wow run the microwave for 20 minutes sounds like madness! I do want to try it tho, my stove top cooks so unevenly 🤔 😋
@@mollyb1281 I use long grain rice. That may make a difference.
That is so very true! Thank you so very much for your positive comment and I hope you both enjoy some of these new ideas😉🙌🏼
Here's rice cooking hint
for people who don't have instapots or rice cookers and hate ( like me cooking rice on the stove top)In the past I was a cook for large groups of people and I learned to cook my rice in the oven. Depending on the size of your baking dish, you can make as much or as little as you need
(I used to make huge steam trays full for large group🙂) The method works the same for all.
That is an amazing tip! Thank you so very much for sharing that. I have never tried it in the oven before!🙌🏼🙌🏼
I buy the Festive brand ground turkey every time I need it for a recipe!
Thank you so very much! I sure do appreciate your positive feedback! That really means the world to me. Thank you so very much for watching🙌🏼

Been on a tight budget this week, made 3 of these already and my hubby is pleased, thank you for all your videos
Those are fantastic dinner ideas that will fill you up and have leftovers!! I appreciate how you show to cook good food on a budget!! Thanks Julia
Thank you so very much, Cheryl💜
I’m so happy to hear that! Hope you enjoy this version of potato soup. It definitely is a lot easier! Thanks so much for watching🙌🏼
I love how you always incorporate vegetables.
Thank you so very much for your positive feedback about that, Christina💜🙌🏼
All of these are great! I think the only thing I would change is getting a frozen bag of mixed veggies instead of the can. Less sodium, only 14¢ more and could be split between at least two different recipes so it would still keeps everything at around $5 per recipe ☺️
Absolutely true! I prefer frozen vegetables myself too. Thank you so much for sharing that tip and thank you so very much for watching😉🙌🏼
Same thing I thought and frozen mixed vegetables taste so much better.
Thank you! Always trying to feed our family of 8 for $10 or under. 🥰
Wow! You are amazing! I sure hope you are able to at least come close to that. That would be awesome! Thank you so much for watching and I hope you have a great week 😉🙌🏼
The potato soup recipe, I use frequently. I love putting it in the crock-pot before work. Always nice to have a quick easy potato soup after work.
That’s awesome! I’m so happy to hear that you love that potato soup. I hope you have a great rest of your week and thanks for watching😉🙌🏼🙌🏼

That makes my day! Thanks so very much for sharing that with me, Alicia😉🙌🏼
everyone just loves to save money. this is a great way!
@@JuliaPacheco they are thank you very much for what you do.
As someone who has made potato soup for years, this version absolutely blew me away! So easy!

I would have added some fresh sliced carrots and celery to that soup.

The Turley Goulash add paprika
And xtra tomato sauce to your Skillet mix. Add to hollowed out green peppers and bake
Thank you so very much for sharing that tip! And thanks so much for watching🙌🏼
These all look so good Julie! Add some additional dried oregano to the pizza sauce - it’s the characteristic flavor of pizza sauce. Also if you want it thicker, stir in some tomato paste.
Great tip, I need it! Thanks so very much for that. And I sure do appreciate your positive feedback😉🙌🏼
Oo the turkey pilaf! I love adding a can of beans to any dish, bulks it up and adds protein for cheap. lentils would go good in the pilaf, black beans in the pasta! Yum
Those are great tips, Hollie! Thanks for sharing them💜
Thank you for the potato soup hack !!

That sounds amazing! Thank you so very much for sharing that here and thank you so very much for watching😉🙌🏼

Julia, my dad used to make tomato soup with burger and rice, as well as rice with peas and burger then you put ketchup on top. Both were cheap and delish. He also made sos out of mashed potatoes and gravy on top of white bread.
