Thanks Ono, my whole life i thought i was going to heaven because i asked Jesus to save me. I always had doubts like "what if i didnt mean it" or "what if i didnt say it right." Earlier this year i watched some of your videos, i started seeing all the verses in the Bible about believing for salvation. I studied out romans 10 and realized that Romans 10:9 and 13 are misunderstood and its not saying to pray for salvation from hell. Now i know that im saved because of what Jesus did for me, and not because of Jesus + my prayer. Thanks for doing what God has called you to do, if i mever saw verses that you used id probably still believe its faith+prayer and not even realize that i wasnt faith alone. Its sad that most ifb believe this; its unsettling asking people while soul winning why they think theyre going to heaven and they answer with "I prayed". Right now im in college studying to be a missionary to Africa. I hope this is an encouragement to you. The work you put into this channel is not in vain.
I was in the same boat as you. I always doubted if I was saved or not because I wondered if I said the right words, or if I meant it, why was I still sinning etc…. A couple of years ago I started listening to Yankee Arnold, Ono, and Tom Cacuzza and I finally truly realized that my simple childlike faith is what was necessary, and that God saved me by his grace alone.
God doesn't teach people in the bible not to pray. In fact the desire to pray to God comes from God. If people have no desire to pray to God then something is wrong. People do pray to God before He saves them.
@SaltLight-l2n Jesus never called Believing a work. In fact it's the only thing in the Bible that is clearly separated from works. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. - Romans 4:5
And Mark 16:16 says, he who believes and is baptized shall be saved. Matthew 10:21 ...but he that endures to the end shall be saved. There are about 13 of these verses that say ... shall be saved. Plus a bunch more that say have eternal life, or by grace are you saved through Faith. ect. What about Romans 10:9-10, Confess with the mouth, and believe in the heart... shall be saved. But then verse 13 says, call upon the name of the Lord... Shall be saved. Romans 10 is part of a much bigger letter. You can't take one verse out of it and ignore the rest. Before you get to chapter 10 you'll read chapter 6:3 that says, ...so many of us as we're baptized into Christ we're baptized into his death.. verse 4 buried with him by baptism into his death, like Christ we are raised up from the dead..and walk in the newness of life. Then go to chapter 8:9... Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Verse 11 if the Spirit of him that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you...he shall quicken your mortal bodies. What I'm saying is that you can't just pick one verse and say this is it. There is always another verse.
@@eodee8459 exactly, the four gospels say shall be saved...but Paul says you ARE saved present tense...it's up to you to figure out why the difference.
@@toddgallo1759 well since the Bible is of no private interpretation, it's up to us to find out the truth of what the scriptures are saying. It isn't just the gospels that say, shall be saved. Paul wrote to the church in Rome saying, believe, confess, call shall be saved. Future tense. Peter wrote, baptism doth now save us. Mark wrote, believe and be baptized, shall be saved. A sinner hears the gospel, and he believes. Is that enough to save him? Or is it just the first step towards God? So he believes, then by faith, in the grace and mercy of God, he gets baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, to wash away his sins. Then he ask God to fill him with the Holy Ghost. Thus full filling the new birth of water and Spirit. Don't forget, Jesus said to be born again. You have to take all these partial account scriptures and connect them together to find truth. To know what is right for salvation or how to be born again, go back to the birth of the New Testament church on the day of Pentecost. Second chapter of Acts. The 120 received the Holy Ghost and spoke in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Peter preached to the Jews outside that heard them, they got convicted in that they heard how Messiah came was crucified died and rose again. Ascended to the power of God. They asked, what must we do? Peter said to them. Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you and to your children, and those who are a far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. This has never changed. Man has changed it but not God. God is still calling.
So simple that I can explain it to my 3 year old and she understands. I’m still in awe sometimes how long I believed that baptism would give me power to overcome my faults/ sins. Knowing the truth does set us free. Thank you Ono!
Brother you have never said a word that I couldn’t back up with the scripture and that I didn’t absolutely know is the truth. I am grateful for your videos they always get me back on track and encourage me to keep on going. Thank you
I talked to a man at an independent fundamental Baptist church about salvation and he cited Ephesians 1:13-14 to me, mentioning that it doesn't even mention prayer. In the conversation, what was implied is that we are saved the moment that we believe, even before calling on Jesus name. That's how I remember it.
Those are amazing verses and eternal security verses as well. If you notice, God puts up the Holy Spirit as ernest, so if backed out, you would get the Holy Spirit. So you know God will keep his word.
Yep , in Acts 16: 31 Paul and Silas answered a man who asked them what must I do to be saved. They replied, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Wonder why Paul forgot to add confess with your mouth and call like he talked about in Rom.10- 9-13? He didn't forget anything because it's believing that is the one determining factor in receiving eternal salvation.
Yep and if anyone who reads the book of Romans will know that the whole book is based off the context being said and sometimes pointing the chapters before the verse..... So to take a verse out of context to support anyones twisted view is not wise.
Agreed. As soon as you hear the truth and receive it into your heart as the truth we are saved. God made it easy because he didn’t expect his body to be filled up with a bunch of nerds and sophists.
"But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation *fall away."* (Lk. 8:13 NKJ)
@@Dizerner Those aren’t believers (Christians) they are false professors. A believer can’t fall away. Christ is the root. These people had no root. So they never knew Christ. A believer is born again by that belief. Those that believe in vain are not born again they ultimately never accepted the truth but rather they temporarily entertained a religious experience.
@@Dizerner Romans 4 states that Christ's righteousness was imputed to us, and that we can receive it by believing in Jesus Christ, who was raised from the dead. A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved. Hosea 9:16 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one So what is the root of the righteous in regards to a Christian? It is Christ. Therefore those with no root did not actually believe as prescribed , because if they had they would have been saved , as in sanctified as holy by the blood of Jesus and set in a high place until the day He redeems your purchased soul. In my opinion the issue lies with you uniformly defining ‘believe’.
This is an excellent simplification to the good news. Thank you for encapsulating it through simple language and supporting it through scripture. It’s a message that blesses us.
I’ve known several good preachers in my life, and it really feels like you’re fighting for souls. But not only that; since I’ve believed for most of my 39 years, it feels you’re even fighting for my blessed reassurance, which I have missed and therefor doubted so many times! I don’t know that many people (maybe no people) who have gone so all in to make sure I can feel assured. I thank you and love you for that!
Thanks Onorato. Much needed refutation of modern American false teaching regarding salvation. Another point of refutation against these false teachings is “…that NO ONE should boast…”because if our salvation hangs on our sinners prayer, our confessing with our mouth, our turning from sin, etc. then we WOULD be able to boast in some small measure…. But we know that apart from our beloved Jesus, we really can do NOTHING. Thankfully Jesus has accomplished ALL that is necessary for our salvation. Not 99.999% as so many false teachers say.
That's a very good point ,many have muddied the water through adding works to salvation when ono requirement is necessary according to Jesus's words, believe Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
God bless you man these videos have helped me so much the last few weeks moving from a place of rest and Sonship really delivers from the bondage of sin
I said the sinner's prayer years ago in a church. The Holy Spirit came into me, my eyes were opened, and the black cloud was gone. I've never been the same to this day.
@@benjibirge2458 I can't even believe you're asking that. You don't become born again by having a kundalini spirit enter into you. It was at a revival service in 1980. You become born again when you accept Jesus Christ as you're Lord and Savior. Also, if He's not your Lord, He's not your Savior.
Powerful clear truth, thanks! May I contribute a fact that helps us understand at least one reason why there is such disagreement among well intentioned Christian’s on these issues,,,, TRANSLATION…. We are all reading ENGLISH, a language that didn’t even exist. Let’s give each other grace in pursuit of the truth. That said, you spoke the Truth, Faith in Christ.
Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." I believe Jesus is talking about salvation in this verse but It's a picture of salvation and not how to be saved which is clearly laid out in scripture. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life.
People still don’t get how believing on the LAMB of God is the ONLY WAY to do ANY good works. The Lamb is EVERYTHING we need for salvation AND good works. Without the Lamb you are still in your sinful flesh & can do NOTHING. Believing on Jesus & doing good works are not separate. Believing on Jesus IS the good work. There is no good work that can be done outside of Christ. Therefore it is NEVER a work coming from YOU. All works that come from YOU are DEAD WORKS. Repent from your dead works & put all of your faith in Jesus all of the time. THIS is the will of God for all men that will NEVER change.
I was just struggling with how Romans 10 can be reconciled with free grace yesterday. The problem I perceived was that Paul said confessing Jesus gives you salvation, when elsewhere in the Bible AND in the immediate context, we are saved by faith. After trying to figure it out, I realized that Paul is probably using WORDPLAY. Paul knew that there were two meanings of salvation, them being: 1. salvation from hell, and 2. salvation from physical suffering in this current life. That is probably why it seemed to contradict, even internally! Paul was using both senses of salvation, one after another. Faith saves us from hell. Obedience (including actions like confessing Christ) saves us from earthly suffering. I recently finished watching a TH-cam series called “Salvation and Discipleship - Is There a Difference?” by Lucas Kitchen. The Bible makes a lot more sense to me now. You all should watch it!
Idk about that interpretation. If that were doctrinally true you wouldn’t get beheaded for proclaiming Christ during Tribulation, nor would all the disciples had been executed. I haven’t considered the true interpretation of that passage. Let’s work on it, because Jesus says obedience will not always lead to a wonderful life but often a life of persecution.
@@ElevateTheWord You bring up valid points. I don’t think obedience saves you from ALL suffering, but maybe more specifically that it has worldly (and heavenly) benefits (blessings) that you wouldn’t get if you never obeyed Christ. Luke 11:28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
The Sinners prayer is simply a initial prayer to confess to God our sins, confess with oir mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus was raised from the dead and declare Him to be out Lord and Saviour, it is based on bible verses such as Romans 8 vs 9-10,13 HOWEVER it does NOT SAVE US it is a means to an end. I still pray the sinners prayer with people and many times they break into tears and experience the peace of God fill their souls, BUT then i tell them that this is the START of their salvation and they then need to repent of their past and follow Christ as New Born babies in Christ.
I think a lot of that asking Jesus to "come into your heart" comes from Revelation 3:20, where Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone should hear My voice and open the door, the I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me.". It's described as Jesus standing at the door of one's heat, asking to be invited in. However, context shows that this passage is addressed to a church, the church at Laodicea, not to an individual.
The sinners prayer is a somewhat recent addition within the last 100 years or so. In "Twice Born Men" only a few testimonies referenced a prayer during salvation.
Hey Onorato! I’ve been enjoying your videos. Can u do a video explaining Philippians 2:12 please? About working out salvation with fear and trembling. Thank u and honestly your videos have helped me a lot. Certainly refreshing 😁

The flat earthers in the chat are hilarious. Praise Jesus, thank you my Lord and Savior For the gift of salvation. Thank you for choosing me before the earth was made to believe in you. Hallelujah I am saved.
What's truly frightening is that there are sooooo many flat earthers (or at least it seems that way when reading the comments under these types of videos). If I were an unbeliever and encountered a Christian flat earther, I wouldn't be open to anything else they had to say. I think these flat earth Christians are really hindering evangelism, whether they realize it or not.
Just heard that Chris Roseborough of Fighting for the faith does not believe in OSAS and eternal security. I was very disappointed. Indeed narrow is the way. Christ alone.
2 Corinthians 4:13 we having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore I have spoken; we also believe and therefore speak. Believing proceeds action in the word of God. This is also how one can use the word if God to interpret the word of God. Take Acts 8:37 for example. Some dispute that verses authenticity. But when you apply God’s standard that is consistent throughout scripture the verse makes the passage more consistent with how God has done things in the rest of the word.
As long as you emphasize that it's trust in Jesus Christ, the sinner's prayer can be used to make it personal. It can also be used wrong... We see the thief on the cross calling out / confessing Jesus Christ. There are also other examples about how when people trust in Jesus they will call on him or confess something to him... Making it personal and not just believing it as a fact
READ CAREFULLY: ― “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, »»BUT«« THE SON OF PERDITION; that the scripture might be fulfilled.” [John 17;12 ]
So, I have really been diving into the differences in Christians theology regarding belief. I have been seeing the difference between this channel and someone like John Macarthur, for instance. I am genuinely interested in your interpretation of the book of 1 John and discerning between real belief and false belief. We know from scripture that there will be wheat and tares, which show you can have false assurance. It seems in context that John does intend to test your spiritual life to see if your belief is genuine. I would love to hear your take on the subject.
You’re presupposing that 1 John is about tests of salvation (which is the Lordship Salvation view that MacArthur would hold). I’d bet that Ono and free grace people hold to a tests of fellowship interpretation.
@heckbr2 That would make sense, I just didn't wanna make any assumptions, especially since I have listened to many preachers that would ascribe to Lordship Salvation themselves. I just wanna get the other for of interpretation considering how dire this is of a disagreement this is.
The commandment in John 13:34 (repeated in 1 John) would be first to measure ourselves but possible to discern others too. For example, if you discern someone does not appear to follow John 13:34, you have two scenarios. 1. Person might not be saved. 2. Person might be saved, but something similar to 2Peter 1:9 happened. If you add into the equation how widespread heresies are so common today, then scenario 2 is extremely likely. And to discern John 13:34 it has to be how the Bible defines love also, which add another layer of confusion because someone might discern with a worldly definition of love.
Hey Ono I have a question about 2 passages that I’m confused about. It says “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” Romans 4:5 But the Word of God also says “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:26 How can we reconcile these two? Thank you and God bless.
In EVERY case recorded in Scripture where a person was saved, it was the condition of that person's heart and their belief in Christ that saved them-----NOT by some carefully crafted incantation or phrase. I think it is dangerous when TV preachers ask people to repeat some prayer-words and then say to them "now that you've said those words, you are saved." The best example I can think of from Scripture wherein a person was saved is the story of the woman who washed Jesus' feet with her tears. She NEVER said a word, yet Jesus pronounced her sins as forgiven and she was saved at that very moment because she recognized her own sinful condition and she recognized who Jesus is and she came to him with a repentant heart----NO words needed.
Regarding Acts 16:31 “-and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” What is the context of “and thy house”? Does this mean the grace of God is passed onto those in your house as well or am I looking at this too literally? Thanks for your time, God bless!
@@OnoDiamante you explain the gospel clearly. I gave her 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and asked if she believed and she said yes. I wanted to send your video to her. Thank you for everything you do and thank God in Jesus name for using you.
Hey, I have a genuine question about 1 Cor. 15:2 when it talks about being saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you. I believe you’re saved in a moment and I’m trying to work through this verse. Can you provide some insight into this?
Onorato, so when you're out soulwinning, how do you count someone as a salvation? Confirmation that the receiver repented of unbelief(not of sins) TO the shed blood of Christ?
@@beisdj0 why don't you let him answer? I never made that claim that a soulwinner can see another's heart. Have you ever given the gospel to someone? So you don't think that asking qualification questions to someone you're leading to the Lord has any point? Or that one could even possibly qualify belief? Matthew 12:34b "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh" If someone said, "I believe Jesus Christ died for all my sins but if I do bad things I will go to hell," would you say, "oh you can't know his heart, he's trusting Christ for his salvation"
The same way you would discern whether or not anyone trusts in Christ alone. We judge them by what they profess with their mouth. A simple "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God" was sufficient for Philip to baptize a previously unsaved eunuch. 36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. Acts 8
Someone (who just heard the gospel of grace) saying “That made sense. I am now trusting in Christ alone to forgive and save me” would be just fine. And why not? That person just believed and that was all Christ said to do. Peace ✌🏼
This confuses me. Believing results in righteousness, confession results in salvation or deliverance. WHAT does that mean? We can believe unto righteousness and still not be saved? And what does it even mean to "confess the Lord Jesus Christ"? Does that mean to confess our sins to Him? It's confusing.
THAT means that a believer (saved individual) is calling upon the name of the Lord for deliverance. The context determines what that deliverance is from. th-cam.com/video/mOEcMaSar5U/w-d-xo.html Also, I never stated that we "can believe unto righteousness and still not be saved."
Hey brother, do you have anything regarding Romans 2:7-8? It seems to imply only continuing in "well doing" leads to eternal life. But wouldn't that contradict many other scriptures? I know I'm missing something. Thank you for your ministry
@@OnoDiamante Thanks! I watched it and it's crystal clear. Thank God we are not justified by our works/the law or no one would be justified. I really appreciate it.
Conviction is like a Father smacking you with a stick and in a stern voice correcting you and telling you how to be better and chastening can manifest anywhere from being tired or sick to having physical curses take your worldly treasures and pets and such. That’s my experience.
So I have a question. I am aware I am saved through faith alone, and I believe in my heart that it is true. You mentioned earlier on in the video though that saying prayers like “Jesus come into my heart” and “Jesus help give me the strength to turn away from my sins” are bad things to pray. I like to invite the Holy Spirit into my presence when I’m reading the Bible and pray for deeper understanding of his word, or sometimes I pray for the Holy Spirit to help me with my studies in school. I also have heard recently to grab a hold of your sinful thoughts and bring them to the feet of God and make them obey him. So I started praying “God I am tempted rn, please help me turn away from this temptation and take control of these thoughts.” Are these all bad prayers? I am aware that none of my works get me into heaven, I simply pray these to have a deeper relationship with Jesus but now I’m concerned that these are bad prayers.
Contextually, that does not concern salvation from the penalty of sin. It pertains to persecution, physical harm, and distress. "But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, AND PERSECUTE YOU, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake." V. 12 "And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause TO BE PUT TO DEATH." V.16 "But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for THERE SHALL BE GREAT DISTRESS IN THE LAND, and wrath upon this people." V.23 "And THEY SHALL FALL BY THE EDGE OF THE SWORD, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." V.24 "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and UPON THE EARTH DISTRESS OF NATIONS, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;" V.25
I am surprised he didn't say that confessing Jesus is works, lol. Salvation is a free gift, but after you believe, then you have to develop a relationship with Christ through His Spirit and this is where walking in obedience in the Spirit comes in. It is like an arranged marriage. If you fail to take the steps to know your spouse, it will end in divorce. This is why Jesus will say I never knew you to some. Once saved always saved is pure nonsense.
Honestly this way of thinking comes from corrupt Bible translations and failure to properly divide the word. If you understood Israel’s destiny you’d clearly discern Spiritual Israel’s destiny. This would in turn shed light on the differences between COVENANT and TESTAMENT. If not for the latter you’d find yourself divorced from the Lord on the grounds of your daily thoughts but by God it has nothing to do with what you can do for Jesus and everything about what He has already done for us.
@ElevateTheWord , you said much there without saying anything. Can you do a better job with the bible translations? Do you have the original manuscripts. The message of salvation is relatively simple. God chose us. He came looking, we believe and His Spirit lives in us literally. We believe, we are saved. The fruits of the Spirit are joy, peace righteousness etc and because the Spirit now lives in us, God doesn't see our corrupt flesh but His Son's Spirit. This is why we can't boast because the righteousness is still of God and not ours. However, if we choose to allow our flesh to supersede the Spirit, what do you think will happen? If the Spirit exists its temple you are back to in the flesh which can never please God. This is why the bible says it is impossible for some to be led back to repentance because no Spirit no salvation. Stop misleading people with nonsense.
@@vinci1234560 You’ll never understand because of the replacement theology you espouse. I’ll teach you at the mercy seat and if God lets me I’ll rub your nose in it.
Onorato, my abuser who has beaten me for years is a Christian who professes Jesus as Lord. Why is this? Is he going to heaven? He's never even said sorry and told his church that I'm insane...
By far the majority of people that claim the title of Christian are lost and on their way to hell. Claiming a title doesn’t save you. About 85% of Americans claim the title of Christian. I can speak for God on this, 85% of Americans are not going to heaven. Why? John3:3. I would not be surprised if the % of the actual number of people going to heaven is in the single digits. There must be somebody they can help you. The police?
But you have to know what to believe...notice Acts 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. Aquila and Priscilla had to expound the way of God more perfectly to Apollos in Acts 18:26. You have to know what to believe about the Lord Jesus Christ.
Hey Ono, I have a question regarding chastisment from God: I have read on the website of pastor Joseph Prince that chastisment pertains to a believer being rebuked by words- whether it is by words in the Bible or by devout Christians in our lives. God doesn't send sickness (for example) to us to rebuke us for our sins, we incur that on ourselves. God is simply chastising us like a gentle parent would (with words). I ask because Joseph Prince adds prayer to salvation and I don't know if I should trust him on this one.
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, WE SHOULD NOT BE JUDGED. 32 But when we are judged, we are CHASTENED OF THE LORD, that we should not be condemned with the world. 1 Corinthians 11
Wow! That was a fast response, thank you! But does that imply that a believer will face harsher consequences for sin in this life? Sin is sin because it ultimately destroys us and has consequences, but will a believer be rebuked more harshly on top of the natural consequences which catch up to everyone?
@@mitrocar74 The word of God is clear concerning the chastening of every child. Hebrews 12:6 states, "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth." The natural consequences of sin can also provide correction for the child of God. Jeremiah 2:19 says, "Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee:" It's not an either-or; our sins have natural consequences, and God promises to chasten His children for their personal profit.
@@OnoDiamanteI understand. I guess I was prompted by people talking about being chastised for pride, example: someone was boasting about not catching a cold for a year and they get sick the next day. If they indeed got sick the next day because of boasting and consequent chastising, that wouldn't be a natural consequence for pride, would it? Thank you for the Jeremiah verse, I believe it does answer my question.

He says to believe not to understand not everybody will know the ins and outs of salvation we got saved first then find out the rest call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved sounds like nitpicking to me when people say to call on his name they are talking about believing it shouldn't be this difficult he didn't make it this way
Romans chapters 9-11 Paul is speaking to the nation of Israel which will be going through the time of Jacobs trouble. They will have to call upon the name of the Lord to be saved from numerous things such as hunger. Thats when God will supply them with their daily bread. God will save them from their physical sicknesses as James 5:14. They will have to call upon the name of the Lord for all their needs because without the mark, they can't do anything and will be 100% reliant on the Lord. And for the gentiles to be saved through the time of Jacob's trouble, they will have to connect themselves to the Jews by blessing them as we see the olive tree in Romans 11. Also, Cornelius in Acts 10 was a type of gentile believer going through the tribulation that blessed Israel.
Splitting hairs. We all know it’s the faith that saves . Romans 10:9 says confess with thy mouth AND believe in thine heart . Romans 10:13 whosoever shall CALL upon the name of the Lord shall be saved . My question would be why on earth would someone not call upon the name of the Lord to stay inline with these verses . Of course people who have no speech can’t physically talk , likely like the man with Palsy in Mark. But for the majority of us who have speech it would be silly to ignore these verses about calling on the name of the Lord . It’s not a work to ask Jesus to save you
It’s called “rightly dividing the word of truth.” We all know what the passage says; restating the verses doesn’t substantiate your assertion. As I stated, calling upon the name of the Lord is an activity indicative of the believer, not the unsaved. The issue is, is prayer necessary for salvation? The answer is clearly no. Also, let’s not play the game where we seek to justify something as a salvific condition by arguing that it’s not “work.” That’s a slippery slope. Stop listening to the NIFB.
@@OnoDiamante but you are going against what Romans 10:9 and 13 says . We are both agreeing that we are saved through faith . It can never be lost . No works earn salvation .
Praise God!
@@HonorGod yes everyone should pray, but we aren't going to heaven because we pray

Romans 10:8-10 ….and CONFESS with your tongue
@@justbrowsing8675 thats 2 things
Brother, keep on preaching this regarding salvation. Everyone needs to know this truth!

That's surprising. Most IFB churches add the sinner's prayer to the gospel.
B b b b bingo!
Yep and if anyone who reads the book of Romans will know that the whole book is based off the context being said and sometimes pointing the chapters before the verse..... So to take a verse out of context to support anyones twisted view is not wise.

The nano second we believe we are saved
Agreed. As soon as you hear the truth and receive it into your heart as the truth we are saved. God made it easy because he didn’t expect his body to be filled up with a bunch of nerds and sophists.
"But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy;
and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation *fall away."* (Lk.
@@ElevateTheWord Except the verse contradicts everything you said and calls them believers.
@@Dizerner Romans 4 states that Christ's righteousness was imputed to us, and that we can receive it by believing in Jesus Christ, who was raised from the dead.
A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved. Hosea 9:16
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one
So what is the root of the righteous in regards to a Christian? It is Christ.
Therefore those with no root did not actually believe as prescribed , because if they had they would have been saved , as in sanctified as holy by the blood of Jesus and set in a high place until the day He redeems your purchased soul. In my opinion the issue lies with you uniformly defining ‘believe’.

This is beautifully explained

I think the sinners prayer is a good start for nonbelievers it gets them started on the journey.

It says “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”
Romans 4:5
But the Word of God also says “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
James 2:26
How can we reconcile these two?

Regarding Acts 16:31 “-and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
What is the context of “and thy house”? Does this mean the grace of God is passed onto those in your house as well or am I looking at this too literally?
Thanks for your time, God bless!

What do you think about “ The Romans Road to salvation” scriptures?
Onorato, so when you're out soulwinning, how do you count someone as a salvation? Confirmation that the receiver repented of unbelief(not of sins) TO the shed blood of Christ?
He will never know because he can't see another person's heart...only God can.
@@beisdj0 why don't you let him answer? I never made that claim that a soulwinner can see another's heart. Have you ever given the gospel to someone?
So you don't think that asking qualification questions to someone you're leading to the Lord has any point? Or that one could even possibly qualify belief?
Matthew 12:34b "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh"
If someone said, "I believe Jesus Christ died for all my sins but if I do bad things I will go to hell," would you say, "oh you can't know his heart, he's trusting Christ for his salvation"
Acts 8
by testing the spirits
Someone (who just heard the gospel of grace) saying “That made sense. I am now trusting in Christ alone to forgive and save me” would be just fine. And why not? That person just believed and that was all Christ said to do. Peace ✌🏼
There’s not too much this fella doesn’t know.

Prayer isn’t a bad thing, just like going to church. The issue is when you make church attendance or prayer a condition for salvation.
What do you say about JESUS telling us to pray that we might be counted worthy to escape
Contextually, that does not concern salvation from the penalty of sin. It pertains to persecution, physical harm, and distress.

Wrong. th-cam.com/video/dtd75yenAGs/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared

The police?
He sounds like a false convert to me
But you have to know what to believe...notice Acts 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
2 Tim. 3:16 is his argument
Im in a group on Facebook Christian memes ..these people have completely stopped sinning ..or so they say 🤔

Brother there is not one sin Jesus didn’t pay for. If you believe in Jesus Christ you have been born again and the Holy Spirit is part of you forever even when you don’t feel Him. God does not take the spirit from you He gives it freely because He loves you. Your spirit and Jesus’ Spirit are now one Spirit.
@ElevateTheWord Not entirely accurate. There is one sin that not even Jesus can cover. Blasphemy of the holy spirit.
@@BansheeKing22 People who have committed “the unpardonable sin” have their consciences “seared with a hot iron” as the Apostle Paul stated. They do not want to repent and they are not worried about the judgment of God. So this gentleman is perfectly fine according to scripture as is every other man who is born again.
@ElevateTheWord probably. I was just pointing it out since you said Jesus can cover any sin.

Romans 10:13 KJV Bible
Romans 10:13 whosoever shall
CALL upon the name of the Lord shall be saved .
The Bible is clear in Ephesians 2:8-10. We are saved by grace, through faith gifted by God so we can do the work he prepared for us.
We are not saved by _____any_____ action of our own will. God does all the heavy lifting to make us fit to work for Him.
