    Really great tute Elly! Very informative
    I also use both machines (Cameo 3/4 and Juliet) simultaneously on certain projects - they’re like bookends at either end of my desk lol - and they work in conjunction with each other. I feel I’ve invested too much time in Silhouette Studio (which I love) and those machines to abandon them, but I’m in awe of the accuracy, speed and quietness of Juliet. Blessed to have the best of both :)
    Thank you, as always :)

    Thank you so very much for this video! It is very informative and helpful. I’ve had a Silhouette Cameo 3 for a few years now and I’m still learning how to use it. Great info Elly Mae, I hope that people who are considering machines find you. I have the Cameo 4 and Juliette and use both; I also have a Cricut Explore that I seldom use even though it still cuts well but the software is not for me. You touched on a few points that may be giving me greif on this Cameo 4 pro. #1 is the roller alignment. I didn't thing it really mattered with the arrows. My right side is slipping often. It is super frustrating. I need to try this before I start takeing things apart. Every single time it skews it is the right side. And generally during the machines rapid movements.

    What is the difference between in the downward force provided by each machine? Thanks!

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is no way to compare downward force brand to brand straight across the board.
      Silhouette tech specs here -
      www.silhouetteamerica.com/featured-product/cameo-5?c=bc
      Siser info can be found on their site too.... www.siserna.com/
      However, the max downward force listed is completely dependent on the user learning how to use their machine. The actual user behind the machine makes all the difference.

      Both would work well. I cannot recommend one over the other with the given information. Siser machines are precision cutting machines and are a more professional style machine where the user is in charge.
      The Silhouette ES bed is pretty awesome too! I teach that as well and have lots of information on the Silhouette Secrets+ channel - th-cam.com/play/PLtZDFYSJhbL1kCXgIH0pXHyzzyniyAUau.html
      This would ultimately come down to the specific user and business owner.

      For real leather, neither. You need a machine that can cut through tough hide well. Keep in mind that leathers entire purpose in life is to keep things out. It's animal hide. A teeny, tiny blade isn't going to cut it..... well, consistently.
      Faux leather - that can be a different story, but it's still can be difficult to cut.

      Both will have a learning curve in general. The biggest thing we see is Cricut users coming into it and trying to compare to what they knew or how they did it. That can hold you back from learning. They are different machines and different software. You can download both programs for free on their websites and test it out.

I do a lot of print and cut especially with clear or holographic laminate over it .. I am trying to decide between to siser or the cameo 4 … which machine do you think is best for print and cut with laminate over it? I think j saw the cameo the laminate had to stay inside of the sensor lines but on the siser you could cover those up with the laminate age and that didn’t matter .. is this true? Any input? Thank you 😊

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So far, the results for reading marks with Siser machines over laminate and holographic beats the Cricut and Silhouette.
      Since Silhouette uses a laser eye for print and cut, it reflects off the material more.
      Siser Juliet and Romeo have a camera.
      That doesn't mean you may not encounter an issue or two, but the camera seems to have fewer issues and be much more accurate in general, but specifically on those materials.
      We've had several group members using laminate & holographic with great results.

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use other replacement blades if you choose to do so. You'll need to test that and also make sure they cut the same. 3rd party blades may have a different offset than a Siser blade. This means you'd have to adjust for that offset on Send tab in the software. You would notice this most on print and cut projects.

    I am in the process of buying the machine. I am going to use it especially to make folding sheets, envelopes, cardboard and paper in general. There is a detail that I don't like and that I think can be improved and that is how the folds are made, there are intermittent cuts as if one were going to make a removable piece. Is there a way to make those folds that look neat, a single pressure line and no intermittent cuts?
    I speak Spanish and I translate with google, I don't know if my concern was well expressed. Thank you

    • @SwiftCreekCustoms
      @SwiftCreekCustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for that example of handling lines for stickers, excellent.
      My question is focused on the fold line of a folding box, or an envelope, or a piece that has an area that folds. I've seen several videos that show these semi-cut fold lines and I don't like that finish. Is there a way to make the machine make that fold by applying pressure with a blunt type tip or with a pen without ink instead of a half-cut line? The pen would be placed in the marker holder and already in the program, that line is indicated, the finish or pressure that must be exerted on the material to create the fold.
