      Bill wasn’t wrong in a lot of his points. Most job losses can be contributed to trade and company’s literally outsourcing employment. I think a lot of politician use immigration as easy answer to a tough problem.

    Bill Kristols rude remark about Japan (and denying that their standards are way above the US or most first world countries for a fact) show that he is just a talking head, not based on reality.

      Japan is a dying society. The people who live outside of Tokyo have a low standard of living. Americans with only a high school degree can live in a big house and drive a new truck while a college educated Japanese salary man in a mid-size industrial city makes half and lives in a closet.

      @@Cuyt24 Japanese median wealth per capita is 119,999 while US is 93,271, thats about 30 percent more. The US has more super wealthy, no question, but also a lot more poor people - it is the most corrupt country on earth today.

      @pootytang2872 I didn't say weren't living well, Japan is a first world country. There is just limited job opportunities in the countryside of Japan the wages are lower. Unless, you come from a wealthy family of landowners and farmers, you will have to move to Tokyo and live in a closet.

    Lol that old canard. Yes no immigrants will mug you for your job. But the labor has supply and demand aspects.

    • @Oda__Nobunaga
      @Oda__Nobunaga ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Indeed. Imagine if there was an enormous influx of cattle across the border. Of course you would expect that to cause the price of beef to drop. But switch cattle for workers and you're expected to believe wages won't budge.

    • @Prometheus7272

    I’m closer to BAPs point of view on this topic but he clearly came off as stupid in this clip and was just regurgitating simple statements not unlike you would see in the comment section of some trashy blog. He’s reduced to just saying Kristol is wrong about everything (even if it may be somewhat truthful) but can’t apply any merit to his own arguments or refute anything. Also lol at citing Anne Coulter, embarrassing.

    What exactly is BAP's argument at the end there? That some Somali community in Minnesota somehow reduce the living standards for suburbanites? Is this more a claim about crime?

    • @anon2034
      @anon2034 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      "reduce the living standards" Yes. By increasing the labor pool this decreases wages. And that is just the economic argument.

      Importing third world immigration, ignoring all cultural and social negative impacts, ultimately just undervalues a community. This is why those small towns in USA kids can't just work at the local tobacco farm because its all been outsourced to third world immigrants. So now those kids are basically jobless and don't get to build experience in regular work, etc.

    Bap got owned in this. We do have history of taking in folks from all over and there are problems of course. Bap is apparently from Romania which is not quite 3rd world but they live as second class citizens in Europe and I saw their conditions in Geneva Switzerland, not so good.
    Bap is fighting an uphill battle with this argument. Immigrants, whether you like them or not are a part of the United States of America’s fabric. Going against it has never ended well.
    Furthermore, working class whites aren’t exactly signing up to work in big agriculture or going into trades either .

      Working class whites wont do those jobs as it doesnt pay well enough, because the wages have been supressed by mass uncontrolled immigration of cheap labour. "Immigrants" who were the foundation were from largely western Europe until only the the last century (if that). These were culturally close enough for the creation of a cohesive and great society. The current mass waves are not.

    • @madeinengland1212

    • @madeinengland1212
      @madeinengland1212 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How much of that statement do you actually believe? US didn’t even take Jews fleeing hitler. Romanians don’t live as second class citizens. They live consummate with their class, behavior and education. There is no long history of immigration to us. It stopped and started. The history of assimilation was hard and dirty but it worked and that was with Europeans. Assimilation is not being tried with the third world because it doesn’t work. American is being asked to assimilate to them. Big ag? Yeah whites would want to be running the farms not day laborers on modern day latifundia. That’s a policy by the way. Easily reversible.
