This is amazing. But I am also shocked a high school would even approve of this musical (i went to a super prude school), I'm just glad they let you guys perform it.
Brittney lol my high school is doing Chicago next
Its the high school version!
My high school doesn’t even do musicals.... not enough people do the class so they just have the theater club do a little skit show each year
mhm, my school just did it but they had to cut a LOT out
My school did it tonight, that's why I'm listening to this song again 😂
I envy the hell out of these kids.
This song is very hard to sing and dance, even for the mature cast. Yet you all are excellent. Well casted, well acted, well choreographed. Bravo !!
These can't be High School players can they? They're just too good!!!
Quite impressive. Kudos to these young people.
Is this a highschool FOR performing arts? Cause... If this is just a regular highschool full of regular highschool students I'm just totally blown away. Even if it's a highschool for performing arts it's still impressive. I just can't see this being just an average highschool. It's just so full of talent! Great job to all involved!
It's a public high school!
It’s public but my high school is a fine art school!!
It's public but Stratford, ON has a very theatre-involved community so it's likely most children there do some kind of theatre-adjacent talent since they were young
Some high schools even do the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Much riskier than Chicago.
woah, ive done heathers, which one of the characters JD kills people and blows up a school and theres a senual scene in joseph and the amazing technicolour dreamcoat, ive done lots of others though but rocky horror is much more riskier
Tucker May's natural voice sounds like the voice you make when speaking as Roxie. Still a wonderful performance, especially for a highschool.
sounds kinda like richard in the moxie
Dude that’s a HIGH SCHOOL
BILLY IS SO PRETTY
Very talented kids!
People are surprised about a high school doing this but there’s an official high school version of it. My school did this show too, it’s surprisingly easy to cut out the more jarring sexual stuff without losing the show’s sense of identity.
my school is doing this show, and our directors told us to watch this production. Well done!
sameee
Ms. Sunshine is a guy?
In the Broadway version
yes, in the stage version ms sunshine is usually played by a male
Yup. It's a commentary on nothing appears as it seems.
Yes. The show Chicago is meant to be one big vaudeville act, Ms. Sunshine is the drag part of the act, and this number is the ventriloquist act. The whole show is just one big act
I'm such a critic when it comes to Broadway and find Chicago to much of a challenge for a high school play. That being said, this was really well done. Other than a few things, like the over exaggerated whine to his voice, it was just to much.....it was a really great performance.
he's half deaf
Also why are you being so hard on highschoolers 😭
P.S.loved cell block tango
That was by far the most fun I think I've ever seen with everyone singing!
This is hard to get right. I liked this. Very nice. Wish it just had more...
This is a great production for a high school. I was involved in community theater (not musicals though and I was a set designer) in college so I know this is NOT easy. And I like both Billy and Roxie. Billy is interesting in that while the movie version (Richard Gere) was a smooth-talking handsome man, this takes the somewhat opposite tact in that Billy comes off less "worldly" on the surface. However, sometimes the most devious people are just that - you underestimate them and what they're capable of. Hence, "Razzle Dazzle.- not necessarily glamour but distraction from what's really going on.
Love this song it's awesome
My school groups doing this you did grear
Renee Regnier ye you did “grear” too you idiot. Nice one, shame no one cares.
@@wyattwheeler1995 r/rareinsults
Elliot Crombie you can’t even spell “yes” LMAOO
superb. I really enjoyed this
OK, so I'm kinda disappointed about Roxy's costume at this scene, but you know what ? Everything else is near perfect, so I'll juste ignore that and make an autel at you guys talent.

That lady has good looking arms
The Puppet Movements Were A Bit Off But Still Pretty Good!
In every iteration the ensemble sounds stunning and i never hear the love for them!
I think it’s interesting how they portrayed the show. When my high school did this production it was very serious with very few comical things. I like the alternative here though.
Isn't it supposed to be a comedic number?
@@valeale8851 more or less satirical, but yes
Much better than Billy's other two numbers, which were painfully slow compared to the songs and acts from both the movie and plays. And before you say "Oh, it's a Highschool production!" Let me ask: what fucking highschool has this much money? That's beside the point. It's a definite upgrade from the other two.
If its a performing arts school they would put alot Of funding in
@@imateakettle Stratford is a standard public high school
what an amazing esnemble and cast
High school. Wow! Good job guys!
Fantastic
that Billy! wow!
HOly sheet. You guys rock.
he ate
well played nice job
10 out of 10
Amazing job. That is a very tough number. I should know
same
여기도 곧 티파니 보다 여기까지왓다는 글 나오겠네ㅋㅋㅋ
3:08. Although great dance
I can't unhear this 😣
great
Wow! Amazing job people. As good any any B'way performance.
Robbie Hagberg I think you should be there at 6 or so if 😢you can get it in a few days so I don't know what time works on your phone and I don't have to work until I get home around 5 00 to 2 00 looking at it and I don't know what time it comes down to get out and I don't want it
Matt Smith lol
lmao, i see it
Wow
It tasted different
I'm curious... is this a performing arts high school?
No.... just a regular High School with a really good theater department.
Wow. HIGH SCHOOL play?
This in my opinion is better than the original. It scared me how much the girl actually looked like a doll.
My only negative comment, in my opinion, Billy Flynn’s normal voice is too similar to the dummy, very nit picky but the rest is great
I didn't like her acting or his voice, but it was pretty good for high school.
이분은 복화술을 전공하지 않았군요
학교 졸업 장기같은데 ㅎㅎ
They should’ve recorded it before and played it so his mouth didn’t move
The whole point is that it's obvious that he's the one feeding her lines. His mouth is supposed to move. 🙄
ok but pause at 1:13 his facial expression though
i cant believe that the same girl that was so good as anita is just as good playing a totally opposite role...plus,, i cant believe tony can dance that well...much better than richard beymer
The budget is IMPECCABLE this school has money.
복화술 어디 갔누
The guy did really well but the girl is annoying
Good work but I'm surprised this is allowed to be done with "kids". It's literally about adultery, deceit, and murder. But do morals even matter anymore?
It's meant to be a parody of the justice system. You're supposed to see the play and be appalled at the characters' actions. It's not condoning any of those things
my musical theatre group are doing it and some of us are 12 and 14 and stufd
@@lilyhope432 you're right on that.
some high schools do heathers which has murder and suicide and stuff, guys and dolls is a lot of gambling but thats not that bad, west side story has violence and stuff
i've done all three of those including chicago, mamma mia, singing in the rain, newsies, fame ( which has suicide in the movie ) a chorus line and a lot of other shows
My high school did this show and I think we did better
You never know :/ nobody can beat THIS
Dude who cares
im doing this show!
who did you play?
Why the voice of Billy has no differences with “Roxy” voice ? 🧐
Or this is special LGBT students edition?
The entire point of the song is that everything sung was made up by the lawyer. It needed to be very clear that the voice was his.
@@Kate-pw9jp Yes, and he did a great job.
Its supposed to be his voice, he's puppatering everyone
