My ex and I were texting all throughout the day yesterday. She brought up what an amazing day it was meeting my parents, and even commented on how nice it was when we kissed. I’d say that’s definitely a good sign. Nevertheless, I am just focusing on having good interactions and letting the chips fall where they may. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want her back, but I also want to be okay with whatever happens.

@@flemmingchristensen8722 Well, we have been in contact since just shortly after the new year, sometime early January. We had been messaging here and there, basically only to just say hello and not much else, since about a year ago. But, weeks and months would go by, and the responses from her would be more or less the same, until the beginning of this year. Then all of a sudden, one day she just kept the conversation going. And right now, we are “just friends” not officially back together. But, I can tell the connection is growing, little by little, and that’s the most important thing. As the weeks go by here, she seems to be growing more and more comfortable with us having this connection (“friendship” lol)

@clay what if my ex bf refused to connect & be connected emotionally by growing more distant & avoiding responding to flirty texts that he used to enjoy before break up? How to make him want to connect again?
My ex bf & I were in long distance but it wasn’t an issue before we broke up. We got back together after 5 months apart and only had the chance to hang out 4 times before he went back to neighboring country for work. Since it is pandemic situation, ldr is an “issue” now as I can’t travel there.
At first after we got back he was acting hot & cold and now it is mainly cold... at first he still texts good morning and still answered my calls but now he stopped initiating texts and stopped calling me pet names. Even phone calls I need to get his approval to call to talk...😔 I don’t know what to do...
My ex still is healing 2+ months later. She has been staying in the same town, which she isn't from around here, but it's technically a "break" and she contacts me and wants me to hangout few times a week. She still needs healing and has animosity and is not putting effort towards resolving any issues between us when we have a issue arise. I told her if she intends for us to continue to see each other she needs to work on puttin energy into understanding me cuz it doesn't work with only 1 of us putting effort into resolving any conflict. I also told her we shouldn't focus on the relationship yet but first we must learn to cooperate and communicate better first and I think that took some stress off of her cuz she still has her guard up. We operate better when she allows me to be a leader in a sense and she has to put that guard down if we wanna start fixing the little things along the path of reviving our emotions connection.

@@cynthiab8377 it sucks but u should cease communication efforts, maybe reach out to tell him that u are giving them the space. Let them know u care and don't wanna to but it's what is best for both of you. And then tell him that if he changes his mind to reach out and see if u are still willing to work on it. But don't put it in a way that makes it sound like u are just waiting around. Make it known you care but are going to move forward. If he isn't responding it's just hurting u more to reach out without a response. If they really care then when they realize u have the strength to let go, they may start to miss you. But trying to get a response is tough. Its hard either way but that gives u the best odds. Good luck!

After a year of toxic relationship of less than a year and we got engaged, miscarriage and a abortion.... I finally over it and ready to move on. I stop breaking out, stop walking on eggshells and finally bettering myself:) getting my hair, nails and lashes done. For MYSELF!

So clay when me and ex met I had been sober and then relapsed and i became a different person made some bad choices like I cheated now sober in recovery and regret what happened my ex says she has no romantic feelings for me and doesn’t trust me do I have a chance???

How do you mean by ghosted
Clay, move the mic away a little. Turn down the volume a tiny bit. Paint wall to your rt white , or use a three fold science project board to help bounce light on your right. A circle of crumbled gold foil on the right panel will add some warmth. The board will also warm the sound.

This Sunday I moved my stuff from her apartment. 5 year relationship and we have been broken up and haven't seen each other for over 2 months. Before I left she snuck in a real tight and long hug. The day after she texted me and said that it was nice seeing me, and that I looked good (I have been working on myself) . She also apologized if the hug was inappropriate. Could this be a good sign that I'm making progress or am I reading into it too much?

I went back to see my ex who I broke up with for cheating on me. First night we had good visit he didnt mention having a gf. What if my ex still loves me, and really knows I'm the one for her, but she wants to travel and do other things before settling, so she is just not ready right now... I've tried everything the last year, we got back together but keep coming back to this issue, she tells me she feels really scared to make mistake leaving me and she's mad at herself that she can't ignore the feeling that right now is not the right moment to settle or be in a relationship with me, because when she is with me she wants it to be forever, and she does not think this is fair to me when she knows she really isn't ready for it yet
I think we have the same situation with my ex. He said he wants to travel and deal with his shit by himself but he said that he loves me and want to try it again in the future. He said that he is not ready right now and now is not the right time 😔 when he texted me he still calls me by our pet name.

@@Wouterlambregts mine was a long distance relationship it felt like we have an unfinished business because we still love each other so much. We were each other's first love. I only asked him for his time to communicate and call to feel not distant since we're already long distance. But we're not just on the same page he doesn't want to talk and become avoidant so I let go. I'm still hurt and really helping myself to heal.
We are strong and we will get through this 😄

I saw my ex just 10 minutes ago when she asked me if I wanted some of our favorite food that she made, she was still kissing me and saying that she loves me, afterwards even texted me that she is sleeping with my clothes because she misses me, she was also flirting and just fascinating about the future if she would be ready..... It all don't help me now but who knows... I'm her first real love as well as first real relationship.. I just hope that if she goes and decides to date someone else after all, that my ego will be able to overcome that if she comes back when she's ready.
Long distance is hard, it's not something I could do I think, but I wish you the best too, we will be okay whatever happens with our exes of course, but this time it still feels like I really lost the "one" I could see myself with forever, even whilst I didn't even really believe in the whole the one thing

Does this work if she rebounded
it's something that we cannot have full control of if our ex gets into a rebound. But what we can do is to focus on what we have full control of. what we teach are life skills that would help you become a better person and how you would bring yourself as a better individual in dealing with different situations. :-)
