Ben Miller chats with Kris Marshall during 'the handover' on Guadeloupe. Short scenes included are from Ben's last days of filming and as Kris films his first scenes.
He won me over when he solve who killed Richard. I just started watching this series and I am on series 9 with Jack. I have to say I think Richard and Humphrey are my favourite inspectors. Jack is very good to. I loving him to.
Yes i was the same. It took me time to warm to Humphry. He was such a different personality. But the show has gine from strength to strength and is still doing that.
Yeah and I made the huge mistake of watching it backwards so basically I massively spoilered myself by watching the Goodman era before the Poole Era and it was like "Hold on, the murder victim from the first episode of season 3 is the ex main character???? What??"
Gosh I wish Richard wasn’t killed off because I’d have loved to have seen him and Humphrey interact and play off each other. The banter between Kris and Ben is brilliant.
I am so glad I watched this because that scene of him been murdered was so real. I watched this full series over 10 times and always skipped this scene. I’m a huge fan of your show. I feel I’m on vacation all the time. I’m from Puerto Rico and we have 365 beaches but I live now in Georgia, USA. Watching the show it takes me to a special Paradise. Im 68 years old now and I’m hoping sometime in my lifetime I can visit Guadeloupe and go to Catherine’s bar. I’m also a big fan of Beyond Paradise. Please don’t put a DS woman. Great show 🏴🙏❤️🇺🇸
I can understand why they had to replace Richard Poole, he hated the tropical climate and made the rest of the show annoying for me, but for him to end up dead? I would have preferred if he finally found a replacement job back in London and Commissioner Selwyn felt annoyed for once, that would have been a more humane way to end DI's misery?
Took a bit, but came to appreciate humphrey, to the point where i was sorry to see him leave...can't really say that about the subsequent ones. Nothing against them, but it's too different.
I know what you mean, each Inspector changed the dynamics of the show, especially with new cast members ongoing as well - it made the show feel very different later on. There's something special about the original team (Richard, Camille, Dwayne, Fidel, Commissioner and Catherine) and the way they developed with each other in the first two series.
@@kelsiaramaple absolutely...they should bring them all back and pretend poole's stabbing never happened. They did it with Dallas, lol...they just said the whole season had been a dream and carried on.
Oh I disagree! I had never watched it and gave binged for 3 weeks now and every time a character leaves, I’m 💔, but then very quickly love the new one! Brilliant show 💯
As much as I liked Poole, I think it was good to switch detectives. There wasn't much more they could do with his character and I'd rather a new one take his place than for his character to become stale. As for him dying, I think it was the only way that made sense for his character. It wouldn't make sense for him to choose to leave at that point,as he'd just chosen to stay in the final episode of the previous season. As for Humphrey, he's my least favourite. Not because he's bad, but because I just think the others are better, it's a testament to how good the characters are when I still like my least favourite. However, I wasn't a fan of the direction they were going with him and Camille.
Thank You Kelsiera. That was Fantastic behind the scenes looks. Really Enjoyed knowing more about the Stars their Quality Support Teams ! And Also the Wonderful People on the Island ! Very Much Appreciated! Hope You had a Wonderful New Years Party and Celebrations ! Have a Wonderful Yr this Yr. Stay Healthy & Safe ! Regards Greg
I will never understand why this program which when it started I thoroughly enjoyed has to change actors plots everything so much I used to make sure I watched it now if I miss it it’s OK. And the one who had the Monk problems that was not necessary it took away from the story the mystery. Just my opinion.
Ben Miller was brilliant as DI Poole, but as a person I liked Humphrey Goodman far more. Everyone should wonder with whom they would rather sit in Catherine's bar in the evening or discuss private concerns - a pinched genius like Poole would not be my first choice.
Humphrey won me over when he fell out of the window. I couldn't stop laughing. :)

That was a great scene. And how elegantly he covered his fall out of the window afterwards. Even Dwayne said: "Did we just see this?"
@@thomasplinguidy4588 ROFL!!! It should have won a best scene award! Pure genius! :)
Ritchard help solve his own murder was so badass and kris is my favourite detective tho
Best di
I’ve loved all of the DIs they need to be different from their predecessors to make them more believable. The mix has been great

I was glad that humphrey was here but I really hate DI Neville Parker
I just love this show
Ben Miller is a brillant actor. Like Kris Marshall too
richard poole’s death broke my heart and it’s still not been fixed :)

Oh for sure, in the same way Humphrey and Jack did. That would’ve been so sweet.

Das ist die beste Serie ❤
I like Humphrey Too !
Hope you enjoyed this look behind the scenes, lots more on this channel with Humphrey as they're from S3 and S5. :)
Has the shack been extended, looks bigger in latest series
Love both of them, but really hated to see Ben go!
Loved him as nick in my family and as Humphery
Didn't know Don Warringtons voice was so damn posh
Humphrey is my favourite DI 🤗
Kris and Ben the best two imo

Love Chris's tropical Tshirt
how did you found these bts
They're on a couple of the dvds as a special feature - will be uploading them all over the next few weeks. Think there are about 6 more to upload.
@@kelsiaramaple oh that is very cool thanks so so much

Different actors couldn't handle the tropical heat. End of contracts etc.

A morte no Paraíso já não é o mesmo sem Charme da Camile ( Sara Martins ) , para mim sem a Camile perdeu o interesse
