  • In this explosive video, veteran sportscaster Damon Amendolara exposes Oakland A's owner John Fisher's clandestine maneuvers to relocate the team temporarily to Sacramento. Despite the illogical move to a minor league ballpark, Fisher seems to be pulling strings behind the scenes, allegedly benefiting from a favor from his friend, Vivek Ranadive, who owns the Sacramento ballpark. Discover the shocking details behind what could be a calculated inside job, while questioning the future of the beloved Oakland team.
From the lack of good faith negotiations with Oakland to the bizarre site of the proposed Vegas ballpark, everything Fisher has done to relocate has been shady. The move to Sacramento for three years, a relatively long time, is just more of the same. Once again it smells like a rat, and D.A. is here to shed some light on why yet another questionable move is being green lighted by MLB and its owners.

The problem is Bay Area geography and jurisdictions. Most of the “Oakland” fans are not from the city itself, but rather the greater East Bay and Bay Area as a whole.
As opposed to somewhere like NYC, where the entire metro is called the same name, Bay Area just has too many disjointed jurisdictions, and each competes with the other.
Hypothetically, say the Yankees wanted to move to Brooklyn, since they are the NY Yankees, and not the Bronx Yankees, they realistically could.
That’s the problem with the A’s being pigeonholed strictly to Oakland.

I have supported the A's since I moved to California from London in 2001. Over recent years it has been like watching a real life version of Major League with the ownership determined to run the organization into the ground to earn a move to a richer environment. All I can say is I feel so sorry for the fans. Fans that have grown up supporting the green and gold. This whole notion of moving teams is a huge weakness in American sports, well that and a lack of a relegation system which if it was in place would deter them from throwing seasons to help create this situation. But that being said the owners of the A's are a bunch of money grabbing slimeballs and I hope that they get their comeuppance sooner or later.

@@johnharris6655 Lacob was dead set on SF when he bought the Warriors with Guber. There never was a real plan to retain because he was determined to what we know now as Chase Center. The city took them to court because they didn't want to pay for the remainder of renovations that happened in the mid-late 90's which was used on public subsidies and won $30-40 million as a result. Raiders were pushed out because the A's took the Coliseum of property for themselves and Mark Davis didn't even want to pay out of his own pocket for a new one which led to him going to Vegas. A's have been the biggest problem because of this and dragged this for two decades. This way Fisher will not get any extra money from ticket sales. Also use BART to travel to the game and bring your own food and snacks. DO NOT purchase anything at the stadium. Diehard oakland a’s fan and all i know is the a’s but as a consumer they’ve thoroughly manipulated the fan base. A’s fans backed a 50k stadium when the team was successful only to have the owner further divest cuz winning was against the plan. I love sac and Vegas but Fischer doesnt love you or respect you he wont invest any of his capital and ultimately he can do this to you. In the real world when you cant afford to buy something thats just it but ppl are making excuses for the lifelong giants fan whose destroying a legacy and a community when we’re all we got. Shameful. There are more A’s fans here than Giants fans. The Rivercats were the A’s triple A team for years before the Giants took over for some reason. There will be HUGE support for the A’s here. Unless MLB gives Fisher money beyond revenue share he isn't raising payroll and when the $380 million the whole state of NV handed to him runs out I guess he has financing lined up. The Indigent A's will not be sniffing playoffs anytime soon. By design...It's quite shocking the level of disgrace and humiliation that MLB is willing to take on to protect their "buddy" JFish. We now have the specter of a MINOR LEAGUE TEAM taking over the administrative duties of an MLB team! Doesn't that strike anybody as more than a little bassackwards? And make no mistake. It'll be five plus years. The Giant Empenada, as complicated a design/build as it is, will not be done in three years. Even a revised Jiffy Pop stadium won't be operational until 2030. If ever. Hell, I don't even see Ballys getting out of bankruptcy court with that Tropicana property. But MLB is hellbent to get the A's to a stadium with slot machines. Chorus line girls. (Yeah, I know they aren't a thing anymore, but maybe Baseball srill does.) Hookers. Proprietary sports book maybe in their dreams? Why not get a piece of the action - the hell with what people think about conflict of interest, racketeering suspicions, or even the NGC?...Meanwhile, I don't think the majority of fans in Sacramento have any delusions about what they're getting, nor do I think they really want a dumpster diving franchise in their town. Ranadive is getting used, plain and simple. He's been recruited to be a nanny for a developmentally challenged franchise that has been esssentially brain dead for the last two decades. Will Sacramento get "rewarded" for its "heroic" efforts to float the A's with a brand spanking new franchise of their very own? No!!! Sac is now the temporary girlfriend paying the bills and putting a roof over her bum boyfriend's head, until his glamour-queen girlfriend gets her "castle" built...Seriously, DA. There is enough garbage involved with this whole saga to make a career out of investigating it. I hope that you, and Casey, and Brodie, the FT guys, and everybody covering this don't stop. The A's are just the biggest and most painful carcinoma on a league that has both financial and ethical cancer...

There is precedent for a city getting a new team shortly after their old one left - happened with this exact team back in '68 in Kansas City. A's leave Kansas City for Oakland that year, MLB says 'Sorry about that, your owner was a total prick. You got your stadium and ownership figured out? Good. Here's a new team, they begin play in '69, call 'em what you want.' That's how the Royals came about. MLB can just as easily follow that precedent and say 'Hey there, Oakland. Sorry you had to put up with John Fisher the past 20 years and he took your team away. You got your stadium and ownership figured out? Okay, here's a new team to begin play in 2028, call 'em whatever you want.' Now it's on MLB to see if they want to follow that precedent.

demands by a city with highest murders, crimes, breakins, business closures. After 12+yrs only common denominator
in football, basketball and now baseball leaving is Oakland/mayor/city council. Fischer had insincere offers at times
& Oakland put forth ridiculous offers at times. But when A's offered to rebuild on the same existing sight (displacing)
no one, Oakland rejected it unless A's help "solve" Oakland's own city "housing, drug rehabilitation, redevelopment
