In this episode, I share with you my thoughts on this insane "Twin Turbo RB26 Swapped Datsun 240Z REVIEW // GT-R Powered Fairlady Z".
The iconic Datsun 240Z/Fairlady Z has long been heralded as one of the world’s greatest sports cars to have ever come out of Japan. Sleek styling with rapid performance and for a fraction of the cost of its rivals made for a very desirable automobile. Today, the car still stands the test of time as many people continue to love, build and restore the original Z-Car to extreme lengths. The example featured in this car review is one of the most extreme Datsun 240Z builds in existence.

Such a neat and clean example of the mighty 240Z. And paired with the RB26 🤤 interior looks bang on for both looks and performance. Very tasteful ride, love it. I agree with you though, slap some bigger breaks on, gotta be able to pull up with all those horses in tow!

I remember dreaming bout a single turbo rb26 240z...i dreamt bout it so much while in class that i drew the whole car and how i dreamt it off...soo i'll make a render based on the sketch of the 240z and one day i will bring her to life🤩

That 240z is really clean and beautiful I really love the old z cars, it paired with a RB is a perfect match and the sound is really really good. The original motor that came with it the L series, sounds amazing as well when you pair them with aftermarket itbs or even a turbo.
G'day. Awesome looking Datsun! Although I was too young to drive a car at the time, I remember Datsun Z cars. My parents had a Datsun 280Zed.

Awesome car and congrats to the owner on their build and passion. The RB swap though isn't for me with a Z - personally I need the old-school K-series sound with this car. Don't need it to be turbo, just sound amazing with good performance from the L-series...that'd do it for me.

@@ClayWong Sweet, there is a tuner that does the swap in QLD, I think Brisbane. If you're seriously keen, just trying to give you a little moral support man - I say an LSX/LSA would be more fun & funds, but, Allison trans with an sh1t diff arrangement is questionable, transfer case I'm unsure?? The LS3 is a straight bolt in if I'm correct, they handle 500 nM stock on baby Duramax's anyway so a tune probably/higher line pressures sorts that maybe?? You're becoming aware there are 2 types of Australians, Holden and Ford supporters - my camp won 75% of Bathurst enduros prior to the complete overhaul of the supercar series. We miss Brock and L. Perkins Enjoy - I live in the red mist always.

In Japan they also say "zetto", not "zee" when saying this car's name.

"I think this car wants to kill me".........30 secs later, "but it doesn't scare you.....it is confidence inspiring". mmmmmmm confusing. PS - I owned a 260Z back in the 80/90's with triples/extractors/3 inch/short shift/stickys/recaros and it was the business. A drivers car.

I had 3 of these over the years. I always found the fender mirrors to look terrible. Not that anyone cares what I think anyway….lol
