  • Fiji, Pacific Ocean - partying at Wailoaloa beach in Nadi town, Fiji. Let's travel to Fiji in the South Pacific Ocean and let's visit the largest of the Fijian islands, the island of Viti Levu. Just outside the town of Nadi, we find the beautiful Wailoaloa beach, let's go for a walk and let's enjoy views of Wailoaloa beach in Fiji.
    Although Wailoaloa Beach has neither gleaming white sands nor an aquamarine lagoon, it does have a tranquil ocean outlook and stunning views towards the mountains, and makes an excellent spot for a beach stroll; Wailoaloa beach in Nadi is a reasonably tranquil place to spend a couple of nights recovering from a long flight and planning onward travel, but there nothing to keep you here longer.
    The picturesque beachfront stretches for 3km in the heart of Nadi Bay but has surprisingly little development. Backpacker hostels and budget apartments congregate around Wasawasa Road in Newtown and here you can enjoy a quiet beer, grab a meal or watch Polynesian dancing at weekends. The sea is good for swimming, although the murky lagoon is rather off-putting, blackened from the surrounding muddy mangrove estuaries.
    Not very swimmable, but decent for sunbathing or a game of beach rugby, Wailoaloa is home to a cluster of budget resorts.

    This is absolutely wonderful. Everyone is getting along fine in peace ✌️ and harmony unlike America. I bet Fijians can send their kids to school without fear.

    Nice video to watch, but I think you can't compare it with beaches or Island in Thailand... those islands in Thailand are really beautiful and full of life..

    @VicStefanu...It's heartwarming to see travelers mixing with the locals. That's exactly what is needed to make inroads into the us/them social paradigms that are causing such pain throughout the world. Your view of life is what sets you apart from other videographers who would skip over such a social detail.

      Hi Antje... different times nowadays at Wailoaloa Beach.. no more parties (or fun), the place that you see here on the video (Bamboo hostel) is almost closed, no people left staying there anymore...

    Magnificent video of the day and the night life on the beach at Wailoaloa Beach NADI located on the western side of the main island of Viti Levu - FIJI.
    Lovely video of the guests playing Beach Volleyball in the afternoon on the beach in front
    of the hotels in the late afternoon just before dusk and the setting up of the beach area for the evening activities. The water is just lovely with calm waters reaching against the waterfront. The nightlife is just lovely with the melanesian dancing on the beach and the
    drinking of Kava as served by the operators of the hotels to their guests.
    The beach area is just pristine with the shoreline and the sand on the beach very clean.
    Lovely videoclip of the Mongolian BBQ, and the horseback riding along the beachfront.
    The prices are relatively cheap compared to other Pacific destinations.
    The dinner tables are exquisitly set with food that is served looking very appetizing.
    The bars on the beach front are very well set up and the bands playing lovely Fijian
    music on the beach front.
    Friday nights appear to be the best night for activity on the beach front on Wailoaloa Beach NADI.
    Wonderful video of the nightlife on Wailoaloa Beach NADI.
    Your video is so enticing that I would love to spend several months in FIJI on Wailoaloa Beach NADI !

      Hi Michael, hope all is well. I stayed at Wailoaloa Beach a total of 6 times since I used Fiji as the central point for travelling around the Pacific (I had to fly through Fiji to get from one point to another) and I can tell you that this is the palce that I miss the most.. I have promised myself to go back in 2020, if everything goes well..

    Hey, Vic why is the beach sand so dark? Its normally pure white and shining in the sun !!

    • @VicStefanu
      @VicStefanu  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi and thank you for viewing my videos. The sand is dark here because this is a volcanic island (as are most of the islands in the Pacific). When lava from a volcano gets eroded, it produces dark sand.. Bermuda, in the Atlantic, as an example, has pink beaches because the sand was created from tha erosion of the reefs around the island..

    (Cont'd) Vic, aren't you being rather aloof of the local cultures by not partaking of some of the dances? True, those aren't tuxedos you're accustomed to at 15:12 at the Drake in Chicago. When in Rome, do as the Romans?

    • @VicStefanu

    If you find this very impressive you obviously haven't travelled much. Fiji isn't bad but if you compare it with Australia, Vietnam, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia, Bali, etc, it has a long way to go.

    • @VicStefanu
      @VicStefanu  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm.. right, I have not travelled much.. after 256 countries and 4 million miles of flying, I need you to tell me that I have not travelled much...

    • @bobjackson4720
      @bobjackson4720 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK you have travelled, but I still think it's a fairly sad looking beach.
