- Given that it was a TfL tube strike on this day, I have only bothered to report a couple of the drivers. Here are the ones I didn't report, with more to come from the same day. One driver tried to push me down the road and give me a ride on his bonnet, until the timely arrival of a pair of lovely British Transport Police Officers. Also rather delighted with the many drivers thanking me for stopping these selfish and dangerous idiots.

Very true. Most of those that have been reported have not been prosecuted. I guess it’s because it’s a rich area.

I love it that the law abiding drivers in the left hand lane won’t let the law breaking drivers re-enter the queue by sticking close to each other. Just adds to their humiliation to be stuck in the middle of the road for longer.

It is good to see the progress that has been made in driver attitudes. From many drivers passing by giving you grief, to so many passing calling out nice comments. The less other drivers tolerate the poor driving of certain individuals, the safer the roads will become.

This contained a classic example of the dangers, when an ambulance on blue lights had to stop due to the vehicles on the wrong side of the road causing an unlawful obstruction.
But those pesky cycle lanes holding up ambulances, am I right??

Never, in the history of Gandalf Corner, have so many, been stopped by so few. This has to be up there in the 'best of' Cycling Mikey videos so far. Not only did the Merc pillock break the law, but there must've been at least another 4 or so similar pillocks behind him, all on the wrong side of the road and all causing danger and a traffic jam because of their selfish and irresponsible driving. I hope every single one of them gets prosecuted.
Much like red light jumpers, once one does it many others seem to think it’s OK and make it worse by following suit.

He is showing all his own law breaking and provided evidence that he is doing it. Someone should report him to the Police and use that evidence.
Also ignored is the Law breakers on cycles doing just the things he is ranting about.
He rode on the Path and blocked it with his cycle, both offences. There is also the question of his legality in stopping vehicles with out authority.
@@craigkearns6425 30 years ago it was rare to see people just drive across a zebra crossing whilst you were waiting. In the early to mid-00s it seemed to change, driving across started to become normalised.

These videos are right up my street - I feel like you and I could be friends, Mikey. I'm a driver rather than a cyclist, but I get incredibly frustrated with bad and dangerous driving. I've submitted a few dash cam videos to the police myself - there's no excuse for dangerous driving. Keep it up, and ignore the haters - you're the one keeping others safe!

Far too difficult to loose a driving licence in the UK. Driving is a privilege not a right.

The attempt by the Chelsea tractor whilst an emergency vehicle is on call shows just pure contempt.
That part of the video (around 9 minutes) shows why the behaviour of all those drivers attempting this manoeuvre has no justification. I wonder how many of them know they'd fail their driving test if they did it.

I'm not a Londoner and have driven driven in London but the thing that would annoy me is that even though they're reversing back and joining the queue, these bad drivers are cutting back in further along the queue then where they started. If you were to pull these antics at a theme park people would have something to say about it (especially the ones caught in these videos) great work though Mikey. People need to be held accountable for their actions.
They really need to re-design this corner, a one way spike trap on the opposite side ought to do it

I think it would be better to just make the island 100m long so anyone wanting to go the wrong side knows they will meet an oncoming vehicle

@@AD-53 During the kind of traffic which motivates people to drive on the wrong side, the roundabout would likely just become deadlocked as cars enter it without an exit being clear.
plus if people are happy to drive on the wrong side of the road they're probably happy to drive on the wrong side of a mini island

A line of 5 cars trying to go the wrong side
I dont understand why the council or even the police, have done anything about this corner, with all these drivers ignoring the keep left sign. I think there a fatality waiting to happen here with a cyclist, and as the cyclist turns left, is met by a car coming up the wrong way
This corner has been so documented by CyclingMikey, and if a cyclist lost there life here, would think the council/police could face a huge compensation claim against them

There is clearly a problem that needs resolving.
Besides I'm not sure all the congestion is all that good for pedestrians or cyclists as it currently stands.
Some kind of central reservation from further back could do the job.

Diplomatic immunity is usually waived for assaults. A Malaysian diploma recently got prosecuted for rape in New Zealand
I really like the way that this person, stopping the cars, has positioned his bike on the edge of the pavement to stop people driving along it when they want to pass.

The dog in the Smart car at the beginning should have been properly restrained in a harness - Rule 57 of Highway Code. He can get points for that as well as the phone use

And he doesn't think that he will be the one who will get in trouble compared to the passenger. Same goes to passengers wearing a seatbelt, you can't blame the passenger but the driver
When many people are caught out, they will try to rationalise it with the first bit of vaguely logical rubbish that comes into their heads, in order to convince themselves (and others) that they were perfectly justified in their wrongdoing.
I respectfully submit that this driver's excuse was a textbook example of the above.

This vid is Gold! It's chaos and comedy- the audacity of a Traffic Jam of offenders, the standoff, the slow clumsey back up of the queue- but mainly all the Honking! I imagined everyone as Angry Birds.
Keep on keeping on, Mikey. You're not just enforcing the rules of the road, but decency... What gets me is, aside from being illegal and dangerous, it's the smallest shortcut ever. I'm sure these people could save some time elsewhere.

They are obviously bad drivers from what they are doing but for most of those featured here they are bad drivers in general. It's fun watching how bad they attempt at reversing and rejoining the cue. Very poor driving still.

What makes me laugh is how they all say your the A hole or stopping them and you have no right to to it. Also that they will never admit they were in the wrong that it was not their fault etc or try some excuse to make it sound reasonable to do such stuf.
Think all should get ines AND driving courses where they have to sit through watching the eects o head on crashes as they free the people trapped in the cars. I bet if they ever saw how even a low speed head on can cause bad injures they would if decent humans never do it again especially if they had to sit with a victim for an hour or more as the rescue people work to free them and secure them before any real meds can be given.
I was lucky early in my driving career that I was first on scene o bad accident and had to sit with person trapped in their car for an hour while rescue got there and got them free. I say i was lucky because during that time i heard how accident happened and how a simple easy made mistake had led to loss o control and ended with the scene i found. That hour changed my life as i always drove much diferently after that.
