I have lived in CNX for years and we will probably never see anything like this again. The year before in front of Kad Suan Kaew they girls in bikinis with fire department water hoses spraying the crowd. the good old days.
I haven't been in Thailand since then (2018). I was worried that such events would dies off as an effect of the pandemic. Is this what's going on now? this kind of events were purged out of social habits? and was it due to pandemic?
@@mikeparker6322 Ah, so it's not only the water festival / new year. It's every day. That's so sad, indeed. I was fancying making another trip to northen Thailand when restrictions relax, but I didn't know so much of the vibe and openess is lost. Are there signs of the situation reversing? Or do you know, is it more open and chill in the villages?
Haha! You have to compare it to our New Year "revelion" to be fair though. You know, watching Antena 1, with Stela and Arșinel and Ștefan Bănică Junoir... - eee? songkran pales in comparison to that 😂
