I watched this again and this is one of the best unboxing video's on YT. Thanks for showing the instructions so well. Good music. And a very nice car with drivers Gilles Villeneuve and Walter Rorhl.

Thank you for your kind words. Of course we all want to have Gilles' cars in our collection. All MFH's kits are so detailed for me, the instruction is a treasure by itself. Unfortunately, many had different opinion on the music so I drop music in my videos completely because musical taste is so different from one to another. I chose this particular music because it's call 'Dark Toys.' I thought it was fun! lol

@@edwardshen343 I agree. The instructions are a treasure and you realise how detailed these kits are. It gives a better understanding then only showing the parts. So thank you for that ! I love this car , the short version of the Montecarlo in its ALITALIA-livery. Did you see Geo Tziafas building a long version of the Montecarlo and adding even more details ?

great to see all of the parts - where MFH's pictures are good, this gives a much more "real" appearance of everything. What was the music used? Thanks!

The music is a royalty free music from TH-cam. It's call Dark Toys! lol

What is the advantage or benefit of white metal? Plastic painted seems to look more like metal than the metal itself?

In my humble opinion, nothing really matches the real metal finishing. Modern paints can give good chrome and dull aluminum effects but when it comes to real metallic shines, paint finishing just not real enough. One benefit of white metal is the cost of production. It enable small run production possible while the other benefit s longevity. Plastic will become brittle after a certain length of time. Metal can last much longer without distortion.

ddanncppoli chi I prime the metal parts with Gunze’s surfaced but I wash the metal parts with mild detergent to ensure no grease or oil on the surface. One small thing though, never wipe dry the parts, that will create static that attract dust. Let them air dry. Another point is lightly sand the parts so the primer can stick to the surface better.

@@fatfrogscalemodels4210 I think it's the other way around : resin parts enables a small run production at reasonable costs. I believe that's because of the molds for making the parts. For resin you can use silicon molds but for white metal you need hard metal molds, which are very expensive to make. That's why in the past you had all white metal kits, mostly in 1:43, and there now all resin kits with some photo-etch. Well at least that is what i believe. I prefer white metal it gives the model some weight and is nicer to work with, I don't like resin it's delicate stuff and when you have to sand it it's unhealthy dust coming of it. Are you going to build that car?

@@edak482 Ed, actually both resin and white metal are short run medium. I do not know what their costs to MFH are but resin are cast from molds that make with silicon while white metal molds are rubber. As for as molds are concern, white metal's are cheaper but then white metal is more expensive then resin. So there is some serious mathematics there. One thing though, according to MFH, who is an undisputed white metal and resin casting expert, unlike 1/43 kits, large scale kits require more sheet like casting like doors and hoods, resin can deform due to various reason and cannot be rectified that easily while white metal can be bend back to shape much more easily. That's how they decide which media to use for any particular parts. I don't think I will build this particular kit but I do plan to make video of some other MFH kit(s) for I have quite a few unfinished business. lol

So, I am actually really interested in the factory hiro models, so this could be useful, but crivvens man this was painful to view. After skipping the ten odd minutes of instructions I thought it would be OK, but it just wasn't. I couldn't watch it. Sorry.
