Pre-ordered today at Hobby Easy. Can’t wait !!
what a crap
Looks nice. Thank you for posting.
Do you run Hobby Easy ?
Looks good!!!
No one has beat the Tamiya kit yet. And that thing is 35 years old. Add the full detail from Top Studio and a carbon decal set and all this new stuff is pointless. Or go MFH if you have to.
Tamiya did an MP4/6 in 1/12 scale, not an MP4/4
I'm still annoyed at Beemax for making me buy the detail set just to get the Carbon fibre decals that should have been included with the base kit. I still havent been able to get my hands on one. having said that, I will probably get one. the Meng kit was ok, but it sacrificed some detail for a snap fit.
Sidepod profile looks correct. Not square like the meng
The shapes on this look far more accurate than the Meng kit.
Thank you! Awesome
Hope decals end up better than my last border tank, quite frankly desentegrated
Thanks for showing us what’s in the box! Very helpful.
I found it helpful to "taper-ream" the receiving cavities
I built the Ford GT. great fun. no space for jewellers "screws"
Nice build, did you come up with a different method for the wheel nuts and screw?
Excellent Sir! I learned a lot about scale. Thank you.
I would get one, but at $200.00 + to much.
Nice job and thanks. At 1:34:40 I think you can see why the front wheels are not in line (your overhead shot shows it well) the left front suspension arms don't look to be fully inserted compared to the right maybe?
For the price I pay the kit should be so much better. Very disapointed with it. The plastic is hawful and the main body with raised areas where the red fluorescent collor goes is something never seen and ridiculous, A lot of parts (most of the suspension) have screws with philips heads!!!! How am I gona cover that ? Following the Ford GT that look like a Diecast this one follows the same idiot ideas. Anyway with work (a lot that could be avoided) it will end beautifull
Good tries, Meng's new kit! However, Meng should look into the quality of the plastic! The plastic is generally very hard! It is hurting to fingers and hard to trim. Reception to painting is also low.
Excellent tutorial. I’ve soldered for many years but only electronics. This video showed all the steps and tips to apply solder for small white metal models.
Did you have any fitment issues
Great soldering tutorial Ed!!
Which glue are you using for this test build ?
The ever popular Tamiya Extra Thin. lol
Which clipper do you use ?
I use GodHand SPN-120. Very expensive and very easy to break but worth every penny of it! Get it and take good care of it.
@Ed, what is the hex nut/screw size you used here?
M2 which is 2mm. 0.0745" for imperial, Will.
Very good timing, I am about to start a Tameo kit ( Ligier JS33B Cosworth, French 1990 GP) so I will be following your build. Happy modeling.
Are the demensions right? Is the model wide enough on the rear? Looks more narrow than the MFH for example. Thx
I have not compare. It is very obvious Meng had use MFH's kit as a reference for I found a few discrepancies from the real car being the same on both models. Having said that , I found the hump of the rear engine cover sligghtly too bulgy comparing with the real car. That's me only. lol
This kit is from NUNU/ Platz?
Yes.
Great vlog Ed!
Thanks!
Nice preview build. Looks like a decent kit, but I think they will learn from this first attempt. I think the BeeMax version will be better. Anyhow, I have this on order as well as the 99T. Can't wait for both as 1/12th F1 cars are finally coming back.
I agree totally and like I told my friends, modelers will probably buy both kits and also the next MP4/4 as well because 1/12 F1 kits are just great toi have!
Interesting build! How do you compare the upcoming 1/12 Lotus 99T NuNu release?
Sorry Will being getting back so late. IMHO this is a easy to build and the fit of all parts are good. Many details have been simplified. It can build up to a nice replica. Whether it can satified a serious F1 modeler right out from the box depends on how geeky the modeler is! lol On the other hand, being a test shot, the Lotus is much more difficult to put togther and the fit of the parts have problems here and there. The engine and gear box bay is much more complicated and hence more difficult to assemble. Modelers will find it more challenging.
The decal with (sport auto magazine) is wrong both in English and Arabic
Thanks again...
Test Shot? Cool!!!
The motor from the other manufacturer looks so much more accurate
Can you change the camera angle so that your hair doesnt come ïn sight?😊
Really appreciate you taking the time and effort to post this video!
OK ... it's been a year or more - has anyone finished one of these?
Great build,it is the new tooling GWH very cool I have in hasegawa and revell 1/32 awaiting build,I expect next part 2 congratulations 😀👏🏻👏🏻
nice kit
Nice... thanks for this 👍✈️🇳🇿
This video was a huge help since i began making car models with this kit ! I wanted to try building model cars and a friend gave me his nunu kit that he didn't have the time to build I was very careful, taking tips on internet and was proud of my work until today... the windows of the kit didn't match the size of the car body but i didn't know that since i didn't check if it fits before applying glue... i had to repaint the entire car since the glue went on it and have to find a solution for the windows that also have glue on them beginner mistakes but that's how we learn 👍
After your first snap together kit I recommend one of these. At that point you'll be ready to take on a MFH 1/12 full detail kit.
Great review.
Now they need to make an Avenger!
So, I am actually really interested in the factory hiro models, so this could be useful, but crivvens man this was painful to view. After skipping the ten odd minutes of instructions I thought it would be OK, but it just wasn't. I couldn't watch it. Sorry.
Waiting for the build.
I just saw this kit on eBay for a pretty reasonable price, and thought hey I'll just search for some reviews.. and I think with your review, the seller should send you a cut of any profits lol.. I actually was looking for a 1/48, when this popped up.. I haven't built 1/72 scale for at least 40 years since I was a Teen.. hopefully my eyes and shaky hands are up for the challenge. Great review , very nice close up shots.
I am a 1/48 scale myself when it comes to planes. May be a few 1/32 scale but never a 1/72 scale person. This did change my point of view on what manufacturers can do these days. Like 1/43 scale car models, the small scale can be built into jewel like replicas now!
