I'm curious to see if you guys can figure out what I did wrong with the submachine gun. the hint is in the scene loading the gun. took me a while too figure it out as well but that's just cause I know nothing about guns. if you know anything about guns or this game I'm sure you'll figure it out faster than me lol.
turns out when you go to load your submachine gun, and I believe any auto for that matter. your supposed to leave the top chamber where the round sits, completely open. I did not do this, hence why my gun clicked instead of firing when I was fighting those two blobs that like to jump at you.
I think thats called an open bolt mechanism, where when you cock it back, you need to leave it at its open position. if you dont, it cannot slide forward and collect the next bullet, so it wont shoot. when you made the initial mistake, it looks like you pushed it back to its forward (closed) position. all you need to do is pull it back and leave it. this is a feature on most WWII submachine guns, not all full auto guns. hope this helped, because im not an expert
@Taytayrex the ppsh has an open bolt firing mechanism meaning that yea it need to be pulled to the rear with the round exposed in the shell ejection portion to fire i think it and the makarov ammo smg are the only 2 ingame that are open bolt the rest will be delayed blowback or piston driven
you can use a knife to eat the food
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!? thank you for telling me, I probably wouldn't have found out otherwise lol
