Into the Radius has Peaked

- Into The Radius continues to be one of my personal favorite VR games simply because of the post apocalyptic aesthetic that it pulls off in VR. The new Into the Radius update from a few weeks ago, with the guitar they added, builds this vibe even more. Other games like DayZ, Fallout, and Tarkov are the only ones that come close but they are non VR games. For VR apocalypse gameplay (and gun mechanics) Into the Radius is the best. And yet I somehow still found a way to make the best VR apocalypse game even better... with a little help from the red army.

Man when I woke up and thought, "Man, I'd really like to see a red army song from World War 2 played overtop of Into the Radius gameplay today", I never expected it to actually happen. Thanks for the great content habie.
Ikr same
Lmao
Same
The exact song
dog, as a russian who had actual hardcore commie grandparents, thats my spotify playlist when i play pavlov lmao.
I so wish this game was co-op. I want to sit in the post apocalypse darkness with the boys playing music, smoking cigarettes, and eating food out of cans while fully roleplaying the game.
Same
So many people want it but the devs claim they can't do it
What i wanted from fallout 76
With vr this is still very hard to do... The only ones are very simple
@@RobinTheBot not true at all.. lmao.
Pavlov. Onward. Requisition is coming out soon. Boneworks has a mod. Blade and sorcery has a mod. After the fall. VTOL VR. Contractors. Medal of honor. The Forest technically... There's loads of complex multiplayer VR games. It's definitely doable.
I swear at some point this game is going to open up a portal and habie will just disappear into it forever.
Hopefully it'll be recorded.
You could say that he will enter Into the Radius of the portal **finger guns**
It's incredible how much a little thematically-appropriate music can enhance the atmosphere and immersion of a game
one of the best parts of the whole fallout series. looting is one thing, looting with the classical station on is a whole new ballgame
You can tell Habie felt like a badass when he was smoking that cigarette and racking that AK but all i can imagine is a fully grown smooth brain with a toaster freaking out in his living room about monsters while his dog looks on in fear
Joke's on you: The dog always looks on in fear
Thanks for the laugh
"fully grown smooth brain"
A comforting thought, but smooth brains die young.
@@GenericProtagonist7 Smooth brains live forever. They cannot die, their brains are so smooth that death just slides right off.
6:31 you got me into Into The Radius and I gotta say I do this all the time. I hate how easy it is to swap a gun from your right hand to your left but it’s near impossible to swap back to the right without just dropping it
missed the opportunity to just say "you got me *into* the radius."
I'm sorry.
trust me it was way worse in 1.0
Habie assuming his audience committed crimes is the most habie thing ever
We did
I keep watching him every time just so I can have his forgiveness for all of my crimes
Often do, allegedly.
I shoplifted once
Smooth brain, do crimes
they should implement something like this into the game. perhaps you find and old cassette player and you find these various different old soviet songs to play while you're doing a mission. you could take an earpiece on and off like you would a gas mask or headlamp. i think that'd be pretty immersive, even if it is functionally the same as playing a TH-cam/Spotify playlist on your pc
I totally agree
This game is literally in my top 5 for VR, the guitar made it better. Excellent content once again, Habie :)

There's a VR game called "Virtuoso" that's entirely VR musical instruments. It works surprisingly well. Definitely recommend!
There’s also the drumming vr game. Don’t remember the name though.
@@TheSidwysDrftr paradiddle?
On the PCVR side there's also SYNTHSPACE which is like a modular synth simulator.
There is also Aerodrums. It's a standalone bit of kit but has VR integration. It's a phenomenal bit of "kit". Finally truly silent digital drumming for all the drummers out there.
@@TheSidwysDrftr smash drums?
VR instruments have technically existed before VR.
Imogen Heap has a thing she demonstrates on NPR tiny desk that is gesture based and could easily be made into a VR system.
The "nope not doing that again, if you know, you know" made me watch the last one again just to see you forget the item🤣
nice habie you made a video about vr music good job
If you liked "Dark is the Night" you might also like "take your trench coat", it has a similar feel. There's also a large number of songs from the soviet afghan war with similar feels but a bit more energy like "Don't tell mom I'm in Chechnya" and "Swallowing Dust" that are worth checking out, even if their a little different.
Yeah or Gruppa Krovi by Kino, or any Kino song tbh
great suggestion with soviet Afghan

I'd like to recommend April by Kino. I think it has the same feeling

Straight off the bat, seeing an actually playable instrument in a VR game is amazing.
Pianos in vr sort of works

You do understand that a lot of people watch you not because of the VR content but because your videos leave us happier.
What makes you different from most other youtube channels is that the happiness from watching is not a temporary dopamin hit that essentially ends with the video.
Your videos leave a warm glow in our hearts even long after we closed youtube.

This is the most underrated game in all of VR. The devs put so much love and life into this game.

That ending, Habie, so cinematic! That.. "CLICK" sounded so good! haha And yes, there was definitely a chuckle from time to time, I feel my brain getting smoother by the video. Hope your Saturday is awesome!
This is the best idea habie has ever had. Combining WW2 music with Into the Radius sounds like the scariest fucking thing ever, habie is a fucking genius.
The most profound thing in this video is the fact that habie is THRIVING enough to wildly fire an entire magazine into the air at 7:10 without worrying about the ammunition costs.
Sorry to be that person but its 7:02
Perfect way to start the morning in my opinion. Just another high quality video from my favorite TH-camr
yeah but it is just sad, that the uploads are so rare
Habie, I've loved your videos since I discovered them almost a year ago. As your channel gets bigger please don't stop this format where you just make videos you want to make for fun. Please don't start bending to trends, optimizing viewership through obnoxious tactics, or any of that usual TH-camr crap. I loved your channel because you're just a chill guy having fun. Some of my old favorite TH-camrs I can't even watch some of them any more because all they care about is more viewers and attention and it just feels lifeless now.
Every time I want to play this game, I always hold off as there is always a massive update coming just around the corner. Can't wait for the game to be completely finished.
U can Pick it up and play "the first part" of the game what would be Patch 1.4(or something like that) select it in the beta tap and u have a good 20hr playtime if u want to wait on Updates. I would described this as playing season one since it is Finished in itself. Basically u get 2 games in one. The finished "part one" and the up to date game.
@@gonnaphagequit1315 would you mind elaborating? I've played up til the lvl 3 security clearance mission and im currently on the one where I gotta blow open the door, is that past where you're referring to as season one? I genuinely don't know how much more content I have to wade through, and I'm getting a bit frustrated with enemies having armor and AP not seeming to do much against them.
@@hexvr4998 i did never finished the "season one part" so i cant really tell how far it goes but i remember something about a trainstation full of soldiers and a castle. If u really wann know Look the Wiki or ask on the officiall into the radius DC if u dont want to miss out on things but in the end u can come back to "season one" everytime u want since its a extra safefile. As a german i can say that this example isn‘t even THAT terrifying
I saw this is coming to the quest 2 and I can’t wait to experience this for myself. Hopefully I can get a decent pc so I can run a wider variety of vr games soon. Love the content Habie ❤️
I was a beta tester when they still had them running, and in the maybe month I got to play it, even with various bugs and crappy stick drift, it is hands down one of my top 3 VR games. It’s fantastic, and I cannot wait for the full release.
Song is called
"Темная ночь"
"Dark is the night"
"Temnaya noch'"
I'll definitely try this out later today. Thanks Habie for such amazing content
I know exactly what you mean about the music. I made a VTOL VR playlist, which naturally kicks off with Danger Zone but also has the BF3 theme in there as well. I managed to time it just right so that as I was launched from the carrier, the drop occured and I legit shed a tear. Felt just like the campaign mission but in VR. And no rain, sadly.
how is it that every time I am trying to pick a VR game to play, Habie always uploads a video and I immediately know what VR game to play.
Ok
The vibes this video presented are immaculate, I will purchase this game and do this now. Thank you Habie!
Also I just want to mention for everyone here, the TH-cam channel BEK (maybe also called VEK? Idk) uploads vast quantities of traditional Russian folk songs sung by ordinary people in nature and it is one of my favorite things on the internet, you need to go check it out!
dude this is such a good game.
For anybody wondering, the red army song is called dark is the night.
these videos are so relaxed and entertaining, it feels awesome!
My favorite part about habie is that from the beginning when he added memberships he’s always been surprised that there are people who enjoy his content enough to pay him.
I would give so much to have a possibility of chilling next to a campfire in the middle of nowhere with someone playing a guitar like in Stalker, those vibes are immaculate
Me and my buddies went to an abandoned factory from the 60s and he plays accordion. Holy shit. That was the best vibe I have ever had, he was playing some Soviet shit my other buddy was smoking a cig and we were all chilling in the big open room damn I miss that shit

btw the song habie used is Dark is the Night (a soviet ww2 song), if anyone was intrested
For anyone like me looking to play with music like this, I’ve made a playlist that should get you a couple of hours of gameplay without repeats. It’s not all Russian sadly, but the vast majority of it had that old radio sound to it. You can find it on my channel in the playlists section and hopefully it saves you some time
Or you can just loop “Dark is the night” or whatever it’s called. It sounds great but I can’t find much more like it
Recently picked this up on quest 2, been having a blast, thanks for making these lad
I know it’s probably been said, but Stalker Anomaly masters these vibes. You have access to two (2) different radio stations that are all full of music just like this. (It’s also the game series that Into the Radius is based on)
My problem is it’s anomaly is that it kind of messes with the core of stalker. Stalker is at its core an rpg and anomaly kinda dilutes that with item bloat and mechanics from the pretty terrible Misery Mod for the original call of pripyat
0:09 the day habie discovered tremolo picking
Trouble with Into the Radius is that I always end up just finding somewhere to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Now that there's a guitar, I might just fade into the vibes and never return.
The outro to this video made me so happy...truly a work of art. Thanks Habie for joy in my life.
0:09 song name??
Darude
Your videos are great! Best VR youtuber.
This is my dream game. But I still haven't bought it because the generic enemies kill the whole vibe for me. Put some actual people in there and get a genuine stalker type game going and it is an insta-buy.

@@DCGMatthew1 that game isnt out tho, and its probably gonna get delayed to like mid 2023 cause that's just how game devs are

4:36 is actually hilarious when you understand the lyrics. Habie ,being attacked by some dark abomination in the middle of the steppe says "Jeez God why does that always scare me" while the song goes "The Death is not scary, we've met many times on the steppe" 😂
My favorite vr game right now is paradiddle, a full drum simulator. Being able to play drums without the money, space, and noise of a full drum kit is amazing
