Will open up the Wild Coast. Great for tourism. Of course, there will be some downside but hopefully, the positives will outweigh the negatives.

Tourism? Just when the Transkei people destroyed the Fish River Sun hotel and golf coarse.

@@Deontjie Had no idea about this. Who was behind it?

Sun International bough the property decades ago. They paid the asking price to the tribe headsman. And employed local people. Then a local tribe said the chief never paid them. So the new government paid the first tribe. Then they paid a second tribe. Now a third tribe claimed hat the site belonged to them and the other two tribes never paid them. Recently our government handed the working hotel over to the third tribe. Who promptly went in and took all the furniture, and broke all the windows and doors. Then they claimed that the tourists are racist for not supporting Transkei.@@clayauslewis4236

Most large projects are so as no one can foresee the unknown.

I wonder how many people are milking this project.

I agree. But why could we not use South African Companies to build this road? Why Chinese companies? Are we not good enough? All that money flowing out of South Africa.

@Deontjie because when you get a Chinese loan, 1 of the terms and conditions of those loans is that only Chinese companies can use that money to build our own infrastructures. Nobody else can touch that money.
