Was deciding between the 330 and the S60 T8 - went for the S60. Yes, it is a heavy car which affected maneuverability around bends compared to lighter RWD cars - but wasn't difficult to get used to . Also switching either to AWD or power drive mode increases road grip and maneuverability which puts a smile on my face. Other factor for this car over others was the quality of comfort, luxury interior and tech compared to the others. I enjoy exciting drives and comfortable rides with the music on. I think this car does both for me.
I am looking at a used 2022 S60 T8 R Design and found your review. I worked with Danish engineers in my first job in 1975 and they convinced me buy a Volvo with my new family and the safety it provides. In a few years I upgraded to a 760 Turbo which was awesome. But coming home late from work one night I ran off the road and went airborn. I prayed for God to take care of my kids, But I lived. I did not had a scratch. I have owned Volvos every since. They are strong and they protected me. Our 2018 S60 AWD Polestar is doing just fine but i want to do better for the environment. It is even more impressive when you know the car is above 2 Tonnes, and they are using leaf springs in the rear. It goes to prove that chassis and damping tuning is an incredibly intricate job and much more so than what is just on paper.
Drove the S60, 330i and the C300. And I have to say, driving the S60 just makes your life much easier on the road with all the tech, safety and HK speakers. And the acceleration is bonkers. However, driving the 330i does make me feel special due to its handling and how it sounds. Not to forget, even though the new iDrive lacks configurability compared to the merc, it is still the easiest to use while driving. And the C300 is more of an eye candy. So it depends on what kind of driver/owner are you? If you're an A-B kind of driver, get the Volvo. If you're a keen driver who loves exciting driving, get the 330i. If looks is the top of your priority, then get the C300.
@@EverythingMOTO2020 hahaha can’t argue with that. The S60 is crazy fast. But the 330i is by no means slow. What I like about the 330i is that it gives you more drama and it handles like no other. And mind you, 2021 onwards, Volvo is limiting their top speed to 180km/h.

Can agree. But i do think c class look a little bit more classy, elegance & look more luxury in terms of interior design. Mercedes always have a interior design that 'wow' me in their new generation car in my opinion unlike other that play safe. But yeah, overall i do agree volvo have perfect balance in it design for both exterior & interior. It have a bit sporty look yet elegance enough & also a mature design. Bmw a bit to sporty & audi is a bit to boring.
Bored with 3 series and C class, as I grew up with those..Both in my DNA already. S60 seems good deal to try. Many people may choose the 3 series or C class over this..I thank you all for that..keep it that way so I don't get bored with S60 too soon..haha

S60t8 will be my pick too... as powerful as 45amg or the like of olden days evos or impreza, but still gives zero fuel consumption for daily city commute unlike the other 400hp cars. Free 5 years maintenance, and backed by 8 years hybrid system warranty. Couldnt ask for more
Adrian, 7:27, you can put your phone at the empty slot by the centre console. As shown by Bobby Ang, that's where I put my phone and hook it up to Android Auto. But yes, my wallet is at the door cards. haha.
Good review, not sure when this video was done though, just to let yr viewers know that volvo malaysia has removed some of the features you see in this video in 2020. E.g Gone are the R-design steering wheel and the pedal shifters. Make sure you ask your dealership on the changes ya. Cheers (from someone who just received his s60).
Really good car actually. But in Malaysia, if you have money there is really only 2 car brands that you will want. Its either a BMW or Merc. Besides that PHEV cars are not really a thing yet here in Malaysia.
Volvo should bring in the petrol turbo & supercharger version (T5 I suppose) that would be more competitive. Maybe price would be below 250k and can compete with C200, 320i and also the expensive D segment Arteon

While for phev, whether or not is it a thing yet, phev is definitely here to stay and its only getting better, 8 years warranty, what is there to scare? definitely not a point for consideration, unless you dont get to charge your car to enjoy the full capability of a phev vehicle.
nah thats the high performance sound system, there's also the premium sound system with bower & wilkins (not sure if that's an option for the s60 though. it is for v90 and v60)
I had the previous model S60. Although the suspension was very good in the beginning, it went downhill rather quickly after a year and became very crashy. Hope it’s not the same with this model.
I have ordered my S60 T8 Inscription. coming next week. The only downside I have to deal with is that all Volvos from mid 2020 are restricted to a max speed of 180 km/h. Does anybody know if there is a way to enable that...?

Cars to me are never really built for safety but VW Passat Elegance might just change my mind on that 🤩It is equipped with blind spot assist. It will warns the driver when changing lanes especially when it's dangerous. Talk about safety and comfort. This car is definitely for me. 👍🏼

Brand and image aside, spending 300k on a car with absolutely bare shell and mediocre safety features which we can find in a Myvi defeats a purpose of having a "complete" car, and that's called "value". Nope. The 640 Nm torque is available at all times, even when the battery is depleted. The rear electric motor on Volvo T8 isn't powered by battery, but instead draws power from the ISG. That's how Volvo is able to offer full-time e-AWD even when there is no battery charge available.

Same as their Honda City fuel efficiency test review posted on Wednesday claiming 5.3L/100km. Previously last month I guess they did the test which got 7.2L/100km. Latest post they claimed different figures due to different test conditions. I guess WapCar could be sponsored by Honda also. It's overly praising Honda as well. Very weird
You must've gotten the wrong channel. This is our first Volvo review and in our previous walkaround video on the S60 we did not complain about the centre console & weight.
@@royalprince5878 Because we had a very short time with the car during our previous test. Fuel consumption test was not conducted based on our usual route. 7.3L/100 km would be realistic if you spend 70% of your time in stop-go traffic.

Is the Harmon Kardon really best in class? The c300 has a Burmeister system that is very impressive
