- Follow along as I camp at the top of Snowshoe Mountain in my truck bed and enjoy the terrain it has to offer! A large snowstorm rolled through 1/6/25 and brought over 18" of snow which added to the excitement!

I’ve been trucking camping for years now and watch a ton of TH-cam truck camping videos and I must say you have some cool mods done to the back of your truck. You should do a truck video of tour. I live in Pgh not too far from snowshoe. Maybe I’ll see ya out there one day.
I’ll post a vid of the rig when it warms up! My friend lives near you and we are frequently in the Snowshoe area. Drive time is 6 hours for both of us. Works out well.

I had the same thing happen to my f150 the other day. Had dash lights, but wouldn't turn over. I thought the battery had died, since it was original from 2016. New battery didnt help. Turns out, my starter was crusty and failed. Theres a metal strip that gets rusty on the starter that causes it to fail apparently.
Cool video, I'm hoping to hit up Snowshoe one of these days. Wintergreen and Massanutten are so much closer for me.

Cool video, man. I love content like this as it's something that I'm also interested in (truck camping). Not sure if you plan on growing your channel, but I'll be checking back in. I hear you on the propane or butane heaters - when it's this cold out, even if you do run it for a short time at night while awake - they create a ridiculous amount of condensation.
I was out solo camping in Tuscarora State Forest, PA a couple weeks ago with light snow. Cold, but not as cold as your night. I ran my little Kovea butane heater inside my Hitchhiker in short bursts while maintaining a steady temp with a 200w electric heater on an analog stat from my aux 1500Wh battery. When I woke up in the morning, there was was frost around the door and an icicle hanging from the weep holes outside the camper by the window the heater was near. The temp outside was 15°F, inside was 53°F and the humidity inside was a shocking 83%.
Needless to say, that was the last straw and I caved and bought a diesel heater, also an HCalory like yours but last year's TB1 model with the external tank. I plan on using it this weekend for a trip to WV this weekend. I've done a few tests with it and it seems to heat the Tusca Hitchhiker pretty well. I also pack a welding blanket to wrap around the output hose to insulate if need be.
